Love You for the Rest of My Life
Chapter 2642: This Kid Is Really Sly
“It’s fine if she doesn’t help me with tutoring.” Di Yimo stood up, casually slipping his hands into his pockets, “After all, I don’t like her, I don’t feel anything for her. I know what you’re going to say, that we aren’t suitable because of our age difference and family rank, right?”
Gu Qibao looked at Di Yimo and unconsciously nodded, immediately saying, “That’s exactly right, my son.”
“I think the same.” Di Yimo said with a slight smile, “That’s why I’m not interested in her, it’s just because she always bullied me when we were kids, and now I want to get back at her. Don’t worry, I won’t marry Nangong Xiao.”
Gu Qibao widened her eyes, damn, that’s so straightforward!
Has he just blocked his own way out so directly?
Actually, what Gu Qibao doesn’t know is that Di Yimo is thinking, I don’t have to marry Nangong Xiao, but I can marry into her family!
There’s no conflict there, right!
Gu Qibao seemed a little incredulous and couldn’t help but ask, “Really?”
“Do you wish I would marry her?” Di Yimo answered with a question instead of directly answering.
“Not at all.” Gu Qibao shook her head immediately.
“Then that’s settled. Anything else you want to ask?” Di Yimo asked again.
Gu Qibao found herself speechless and had to look at Di Mingjue and ask, “Do you have anything else to ask?”
Di Mingjue furrowed his brows and couldn’t help but ask again, “Di Yimo, do you truly not like Nangong Xiao?”
“I don’t like her.” Di Yimo denied once more, “Should I make a vow or something?”
“No need for that.” Gu Qibao hurriedly waved her hand, really fearing that Di Yimo might make some deadly vow like getting struck by lightning.
“Alright. That settles it then.” Di Yimo spread his hands.
“Even if you don’t like her, it’s better if you two have less contact in the future.” Di Mingjue suddenly spoke.
“Why?” Di Yimo raised his thick eyebrows, seeming a bit puzzled.
“There’s a generational gap between you two. What if feelings develop over time?” Di Mingjue said with displeasure, “So limiting contact is better for both of you.”
“I see.” Di Yimo nodded, “Okay, I promise you, I’ll have less contact with her.”
Di Mingjue: “…”
“Anything else? If not, I’m going upstairs to rest.” Di Yimo said with a slightly distant expression.
“No, nothing else. Go rest.” Gu Qibao waved her hand.
“Alright.” Di Yimo nodded, “I’m going upstairs then. Goodnight, Mom and Dad.”
After speaking, Di Yimo left, his back appearing utterly decisive and nonchalant, as if he had no attachment.
Gu Qibao, watching his cool and somewhat arrogant back, couldn’t help but say, “Wow, does he really not like Nangong Xiao? To agree that smoothly?”
“Maybe he really doesn’t?” Di Mingjue raised his eyebrows, “Otherwise, he wouldn’t have agreed so readily.”
“Yeah, I think so too.” Gu Qibao agreed.
“But I feel like this kid is up to something.” Di Mingjue was still a bit uneasy, feeling there must be something fishy about such a smooth agreement!
“But he said he doesn’t like her, and promised to have less contact with Nangong Xiao, so what else can we say?” Gu Qibao blinked innocently, “He said he doesn’t like her, so we can’t go assuming he does, can we?”
Di Mingjue suddenly felt a headache, intuition telling him that Di Yimo was a sly one.
