Madame is Pretending to be an Academic Slacker Again!
Chapter 1001 - 1000: Clingy Spirit, Spoiled Spirit, and Bootlicker All-in-One!
Qin Xin was busy trying to rest her eyes and hadn’t even gotten around to it yet.
Little Dongju, on the other hand, was full of righteous indignation: "Master, that whatever-lice leader is seriously disgusting, okay? She wants to control what time we get up too? As long as we’re not late for class, what business is it of hers how long we sleep? Totally waving a chicken feather like it’s an imperial edict, doesn’t even know how much this little louse weighs herself..."
Qin Xin couldn’t help but snort with laughter: "It’s dorm leader, not louse leader."
She paused, then added, "Besides, that kind of big-mouthed, blatant grudge-holder isn’t much of a threat. It’s that woman who subtly sows discord and hides needles in cotton—she’s the really scheming one."
Little Dongju: "You mean that what, Nail Fish? With those dead fish eyes, she still wants to hide needles in cotton against you, Master? You saw right through her little schemes with just one glance, hmph!"
Qin Xin was amused by the nicknames Little Dongju had come up with for these people, and her mood lifted a bit. She said seriously, "Speaking of which, I still don’t know what Ding Yu’s ability is. The color on the White Jade Stele was all pink and cute, looking totally harmless to humans and animals."
Little Dongju: "Master, she is absolutely not harmless. That kind of ability that’s neither red nor white is a mutated branch of red fire-type power. To me, it looks like some kind of jealousy-fire, a sinister flame. The ability itself isn’t strong, but it walks a crooked path, specializing in hurting people in secret..."
Qin Xin mused, "So it’s a split-off fire type. No wonder her flame looked a bit strange. Her little brother’s honest, down-to-earth earth-type ability is much more likable."
Little Dongju: "Exactly, exactly. This Flower here likes earth-type the most. He practically exudes the fragrance of soil. I so want to build a nest right on top of that little brother’s head..."
Qin Xin: "..."
She really couldn’t picture what Ding Dou would look like with grass growing on his head.
Ah, what a strange world.
Master and servant chatted away, and before they knew it, breakfast time had already passed.
The dorm room was completely empty; everyone had gone out.
Out in the corridor, a string of footsteps sounded, then someone gently knocked on the door: "Sister Xin, I brought you food. I know you don’t like those veggie dishes, so I specially got you lots of meat."
Speak of the devil—Ding Dou’s voice came from outside the door.
"Sister Xin, I’ll leave it at the door. Remember to grab it when you get up, okay? I’m heading off first."
The little guy really was polite and considerate.
Qin Xin took a deep breath, got out of bed, and went to wash up and get dressed.
Last night the academy had issued black robes to them.
Based on her test score, she should’ve qualified to wear the darkest black robe, but the instructors had never expected that there’d be a freshman this year who could score a full 100 on the White Jade Stele. So they hadn’t prepared any deep-black robes and could only ask her to make do with a lighter one for now while they found workers to rush a custom set.
She didn’t really care; she was just a passerby in this place. Whether the robe was a bit darker or lighter wasn’t worth fussing over.
Once she was dressed, the mirror showed a slim figure in black robes, which made her skin look even whiter.
At the same time, the dark green birthmark on her forehead looked even greener.
Qin Xin let out a soft sigh. "Looks like in this lifetime, I’ll never escape from the color green, huh?"
Little Dongju gave two awkward dry laughs. "Ahem, ahem, Master, this Flower will absolutely never ’green’ you. This Flower will be loyal to you for life!"
Qin Xin touched the birthmark. "Before, I thought this was some kind of poisoning. But now it seems it’s not that simple."
She’d long since finished regulating Lan Qingxin’s body and cleared out all the toxins.
Otherwise that little face wouldn’t be this snow-white now.
Yet the birthmark had stubbornly returned.
It felt more like some special kind of mark.
Little Dongju: "Maybe it means you have some noble origin that ordinary people can’t even dream of, Master!"
Qin Xin: "..."
So her pet wasn’t just clingy and spoiled—it was a bootlicker too???
