Chapter 319 - 319: Ch 319: Massacre in the Cave [Slightly 18+]

After narrowing down the area this much, if Elise still had trouble finding the right cave, then she had to accept that she was a disappointment for all the grand knights of this world. And fortunately that was definitely not the case.

So she did manage to find out the correct cave where the bandits were hiding in less than half an hour. And just as she had expected, these people were definitely using some sort of advance magic item to perfectly hide their presence from her senses.

Even though Elise was able to see with her eyes that two bandits were guarding this place while hiding in the shadows, she was actually still unable to sense anything about them.

If she was not seeing their bodies clearly with her eyes, Elise would actually have thought that she was just seeing things or this was a ghost.

So, now that she had seen the effect of this mysterious unknown magic item, Elise added another goal to her mission. And that was to bring this magic item back for her mistress.

And as soon as Elise made up her mind, she moved. And immediately, both of the guards hidden in the shadow fell down, with their heads gone from above their bodies.

This was a terrifying scene for any young lady, especially for someone like Sakura who was from one of the strongest noble family of this nation and had always been pampered.

But other than a very slight shacking of her body and a surprised expression in her eyes, Sakura acted perfectly composed.

And even if she was scared or was filling weak in her heart, just by not showing that in her body language, she did a great job and there was no doubt about that.

So before going inside the cave, Elise patted Sasha on the back to give her some encouragement. And this simple act turned out to be super effective.

As soon as she did this, Sakura stopped shaking and her stride became more proper like her usual self. Her eyes also became more determined.

Then, as both of them stepped foot inside the cave, a lot of sound, smell and such immediately overwhelmed their senses. Fortunately, both of the ladies were used to sensory overload and managed to recover in no time.

But both of the ladies were extremely surprised by this. Just one step outside and they were not hearing even a single bit of the leaking voice. While actually, all the fake bandits were being this loud inside this forest cave base of theirs.

This showed just how remarkable the magical item present here was. But now was not the time to think about that. Instead, Elise and Sakura both needed to perform a massacre here.

From the little that they had heard about this bandits group, there was absolutely no doubt that they were extremely terrible. The atrocities that they had committed, that could even make a demon from the legends to feel shameful about.

Elise was used to killing. People had tried to kill her and she had also killed countless people with her own two hands.

But she never took pleasure and enjoyment in killing people. She also did not make them suffer without any reason. But these people did exactly that.

And the pain that they inflicted upon the innocent people, it was not because of a sense of duty or because of revenge. But for mere enjoyment and fun.

So this was something that both Elise and Sakura found to be repulsive. And this was also the reason why Elise had given all the fake bandits here a death sentence even before entering the cave.

With this in mind, both of them made their moves. Elise was going to keep anyone stronger than Sakura away from her, so Sakura would be able to go all out and fight to her hearts content without fearing for her life.

And just like that, the massacre in the cave started.

It had been just about 15 minutes since Elise and Sakura had made their moves. And already, a river of blood was flowing in the cave.

There were only three people currently standing in this cave and they were Elise, Sakura and the leader of the fake bandits here, Yatsu. But the only man here was injured all over and would not be able to stay up for much longer.

The two official knight rank subordinates that he had brought with him were already dead. Both of their heads had been cut off and they had died with their eyes widened in fear.

As for all the hostages and captives who were in this place, Elise had used her aura of a grand knight to make them to faint before the start of the killing. She did not want them to suffering any psychological problem after witnessing a ruthless slaughter.

Obviously about 85 percent of the dead people here had been killed by Elise. But Sakura had not performed bad and had managed to kill a few of them all on her own. This was a great confidence boosting experience for her.

As for Yatsu, after killing a bunch of people, Elise had managed to calm down and her rationality had returned. So after thinking about this matter a little, she had decided to spare him for the time being.

Obviously she was not doing this because she felt any goodwill toward this useless and scummy man. But because she thought that him dying here by her hands would not be enough of a punishment for what he had done.

But if she handed him over to the ruler of the city of Ryukan, then their was a high possibility that this man would be publically executed. And Elise had heard from Sakura that this man was known as something like a war hero.

So him being humiliated as a bandit and dying before the ridiculing eyes of the general population would be a more fitting punishment for a scum like him. And this thinking was the reason why Elise had kept him alive.

There were also a few other fake bandits who were still living but had just fainted. After calming down, Elise had started to hold back a little and this was the result of that.

So just like this, Elise had ended this mission successfully and also had gotten her hand on the remarkable magic item that she was looking for.
