Marriage Contract with my Cursed Alien Mate
Chapter 194
Chapter 194: Chapter 194
Tempest was riding on a high.
The only thing that would make the moment any better would be if she and Dron were already in a safe space alone together.
She had tried to ignore what she was feeling, but now that Dron was close, it was as if her body were going into hyper drive.
Her libido for starters.
She wanted her man. She wanted to feel him on top of her. Wanted him to be kissing away every ache and pain she had. Tempest knew there was no stopping that from happening. She should be more concerned about what was going to happen now that they were all in the human settlement, but she just didn’t care that much.
"Come on, we need to find a place." She all put pulled Dron toward the back of the settlement.
"Hold on!" Minnie shouted and rushed up next to them.
Tempest groaned and turned in her direction.
The last thing she wanted to do right now was wait. She felt like she had been waiting for years.
"What?" Tempest snapped at the woman.
"You heard what Minnie said. No one is supposed to be walking around without supervision." Minnie said out of breath.
"I am his supervision. I already know the places we are allowed to go. I don’t need you to watch him. I’ve got him." Tempest raised an eyebrow at the woman.
"That’s fine, but what about the rest of these people? In case you’ve forgotten, he’s their leader. If there’s going to be someone around here to keep them in order, it’s them."
"That’s ridiculous, they don’t need to be supervised." Dron shook his head and tried to move along.
Tempest was the one to stop him. The last thing she wanted was for Hen to say that they were going against their word. She didn’t want to be put out again.
"No, she’s right. We need some sort of guard post. Some of the alpha who are going to make sure everyone else stays in line." Tempest groaned. In order for her to find people like that, it meant that she was going to have to wait before she had her way with Dron. She didn’t really want to wait. In fact, she could feel her slick starting to pool between her legs. She needed him desperately.
"Have no fear, Rynax is here." Rynax grumbled and walked forward from where he was standing on the other side of the small house. Tempest hadn’t even realized that he was there. She was completely focused on one thing and one thing only.
"What are you talking about?" Minnie asked.
"I can patrol and make sure that no one gets out of line." Rynax spoke.
"You? Really? Why would anyone listen to you?" Minnie stood back and looked Rynax up and down.
"Excuse me? I’m more than capable of securing this area."
"Are you sure? I mean, I’d think all the jewelry on your wrist would make it near impossible for you to move around let around secure anything."
"Just because I’m pretty doesn’t mean I can’t fight."
"I never said anything about you being pretty. Flashy. Yes. Gaudy. Without a doubt. Pretty. Not so much." Minnie smirked at him.
"I shine simply to give my enemies a chance to catch me. If it makes you feel any better, you can see how much I shine in the dark, say, in your dwelling, naked maybe, under the sheets..."
Minnie scoffed and waved her hand at him, "As if! I would never allow you into my bed." She rolled her eyes at him, and Rynax chuckled.
"Hard to get. I like a challenge." Rynax continued smirking at the woman.
"No, impossible to get and incredibly knife-happy. Don’t make me cut off your dick." Minnie narrowed her eyes on Rynax.
"Which one? I think I’d be okay if you cut off my secondary. I only need one to make you shake with pleasure."
"Oh you nasty son of a..." Minnie’s eyebrows furrowed for a second in clear confusion, "Wait, you have more than one?"
Tempest slammed her hands to her mouth to stop the laughter from bubbling out. She remembered how shocked she was when she found out that some of the men on this planet had more than one set of genitals.
"Yes, firestarter, I have more than one. Which means many different ways to please you. I’m more than happy to show you." Rynax blinked fast at the woman. His expression was ridiculous. Tempest couldn’t hold back the laughter anymore.
"Guys, guys, we don’t have time for this. We need to set up a security detail." Tempest finally got out through the laughter.
Rynax slowly dragged his eyes off Minnie and onto Tempest, "Like I said, I’m more than happy to take a security detail. Gives me something to do while we are all just sitting here."
"Okay, that’s set." Tempest tried to grab hold of Dron and walk off but this time it was Dron who stopped her.
"We’re going to need more than one guard." He looked down at her.
She groaned once again. This was taking more time than she wanted it to. "Fine!" She hissed through clenched teeth.
Tempest and Dron walked away from where they were standing. Behind them they could hear Minnie and Rynax bickering with eachother. It was hilarious how quickly Ryunax could get under someone’s skin. Even when he wasn’t trying.
Near the other side of the settlement, Tempest could see Gerax in the middle of at least twelve other humans, he had his paper and pen out, and he was scribbling notes.
"Hey, you okay here?" Tempest asked.
"Yes. I’m fine. You wouldn’t believe what some of these people have done to survive. The advancements that they’ve come up with. It’s absolutely remarkable." Gerax was completely in his wheelhouse.
"That’s good to hear. While you are taking all your notes, do you think you’d be up for a bit of a patrolling detail? We just need to make sure none of the guests get out of place."
"Of course, though I doubt anyone here will do anything that will get them kicked out."
"Why do you say that?" Tempest asked.
"Everyone here still believes that omegas are a blessing from the moon goddess. Also, there are just too many witnesses for anyone to want to be responsible for a war. They’d be acting out on their own."
Tempest didn’t want to admit it straight out but hearing Gerax say that made her feel a bit better. She didn’t need to worry about everyone in the group trying to assert their power over the lesser species. She only needed to worry about a few bad apples.
"Rynax is going to do a patrol as well."
"That’s good, maybe we should find Crilium as well." Gerax spoke but he was looking down at his paper. Tempest didn’t know how much good he would be on patrol but at least she knew he wouldn’t be falling asleep any time soon.
Dron and Tempest walk off leaving Gerax with the group of people he was with. Minnie and Rynax were behind still talking to eachother but the words were difficult for her to hear. She wondered what they were whispering about.
It didn’t take Tempest very long to find Crilium he was standing against a small house, his eyes already scanning the crowd. Tempest was sure he wouldn’t have to tell him to keep an eye on his people. He was already doing that. Still it was better to be sure than to assume.
"Crilium, a word." Tempest said as she stood right in front of him. The intense alpha looked down at Tempest.
"I know you’re probably, worn out after all that’s gone on tonight but I wondered if it would be possible for you to do a few patrols just to make sure everyone is on their best behavior."
"No one from my group would think of doing anything otherwise." Crilium answered.
"I believe it but we have to make sure." Tempest nodded once. She knew how trust worthy the people from the stronghold were. She was there and no one had bothered her.
"Of course, you have my word that everyone will behave while they are in these walls."
"I can help too. I’ll be a lookout, let people know..." The small boy that Tempest had seen earlier standing next to Dron was there as well. Tempest didn’t even know when the child appeared but he was there.
"Mikael, no." Dron said right away.
"But I can do it. I’m trained."
"I don’t care if you are trained or not." Dron snapped at the boy and Tempest watched as disappointment washed over Mikael’s face. Dron sighed and leaned down so he was eye to eye with the young child. "I know how capable you are. You’ve proved yourself more than you need. It’s not about what you can do it’s about what you should be doing."
Dron stands to his full height, "You’ve already proven to me that you can be a soldier, now prove that you still know how to be a child. There are other children here. Perhaps a few that might be scared of you. Talk to them. It’s time for you to stand down."
Mikael looked up at Dron with wide eyes and a bit of wonder there.
"Okay." Mikael said softly.
Dron reached forward and patted the kids shoulder. Tempest watched the two of the interact. It was different than how Dron acted with the other soldiers. It was paternal.
There had always been questions about how Dron would deal with being a father but just seeing how he acted with Mikael was enough for Tempest to realize that he would make a good dad. It was more than she could say for some of the men back on earth. This child had nothing to do with Dron and still he was taking the time to encourage and nurture. It was honorable and unbelievable hot.
Dron inhaled deeply and a soft growl rumbled in his chest. He cut his eyes in Tempest’s direction.
"We need to go. Now." It wasn’t a suggestion.
He must be able to smell just how needy Tempest was at the moment. At any second she would start leaking. She hadn’t been this turned on since the night they had spoken on the cliff. She remembered just what happened the last time she walked around an alpha while she was turned on.
Dron was right they needed to get somewhere private and fast.
"Where’s Aliq?" Tempest questioned when she realized that he was the only one of her private detail that had yet to offer up to do a patrol assignment.
"He’s around, probably getting some alone time. I’ll bring him up to date." Crilium answered.
That was more than enough explanation for Tempest.
She turned to Minnie who had her arms crossed and was leaning as far away from Rynax as she could get without actually leaving the area. So much for thinking that they could be friends at some point.
"Does that work for you?" Tempest asked.
"Yes, I supposed as long as we have people on patrol you and your boyfriend—"
Tempest didn’t even wait for her to finish her statement.
"Good. Unless someone is dying, figure it out yourselves." She grabbed hold of Dron’s hand and speedwalked in the direction of the nearest house that was open to her.
It had been way too long since she’d been with her mate. Right now it was time they made up for lost time.
