Martial Arts Escort System: I Got A Maxed Level Divine Technique From The Beginning
Chapter 1706 - 630: Personally Addressed to Su Mo (3)
"So I agreed.
"Third Master said, if I want to become a woman, there are three conditions.
"The first is martial arts.
"The second is a Miracle Item.
"Martial arts are the easy part. Third Young Master Dongmen is versed in the Heavenly Person’s learning; even if no such Skill existed, he could create one for me.
"The [Blood Lotus Mysterious Scripture] I now cultivate comes from this.
"Next, that Miracle Item is the Blood Lotus.
"Third Master said it was something he discovered by chance years ago, when he traveled to the depths of Zhongzhou, that is, what used to be Da Xuan’s hinterland, at a deep pool.
"Seeing how strange it was, he brought it back.
"After studying it for several years, he found it bizarre, able to overturn Yin Yang and reverse Qian Kun.
"Neither purely Yang, nor purely Yin.
"It all depends on what is used to irrigate it.
"After getting these two things, we still lacked the most crucial third... Pure Yin Virgin Blood.
"This blood has the heaviest Yin Energy. With this blood to irrigate the Blood Lotus, while I dwell within it, the Yin Energy in my body will gradually surpass the Yang Qi, making Yin Yang reverse.
"I will also, thereby, slowly change in outward traits, and in the end truly become a woman."
When he spoke to this point, his eyes were full of hope and longing, as if at this moment he had already become a woman.
But the next instant, his face was filled entirely with despair.
Because he remembered that strange flower had already been shattered with a single palm strike by Su Mo, torn up by the roots and taken away completely.
His lifelong obsession had thus gone down the drain, never to be realized.
Thinking of this, he couldn’t help glaring hatefully at Su Mo:
"Back then, after Third Young Master Dongmen told me all this and passed me his martial arts, he set out for Donghuang.
"Who would have thought that when we met again years later, he had come to receive punishment.
"And by then I had already founded the Blood Lotus Sect and was acting according to the method he described.
"This method truly works. To this day, my body has long since begun to change.
"If I only had a bit more time..."
He lowered his head and looked at his own chest: "Lately I can already feel my chest swelling a bit."
Su Mo felt as if he’d just heard one of the strangest tales under heaven.
He couldn’t help glancing at Little Situ, wanting her to analyze from a doctor’s perspective whether this was at all scientific.
But he found Little Situ completely bewildered, even more shocked than he was.
He immediately understood that, from a doctor’s point of view, this obviously made no sense.
Still, the Blood Lotus Sect Leader’s words gave Su Mo a new impression of Dongmen Yong.
This man actually went to Da Xuan’s hinterland as well?
And even found this Blood Lotus there.
Then what was he doing in Da Xuan’s hinterland back then?
Was it for Da Xuan’s Armory?
Or was there some other reason?
After returning from Da Xuan’s hinterland, were his arrangements for the Blood Lotus Sect Leader made with some ulterior intent, or just on a whim?
And was this related to his later journey to Donghuang?
As these thoughts leapt back and forth in his mind, the Blood Lotus Sect Leader had already led them into a room deep within the cave estate.
This room had no bed.
Only two tables and one offering table.
"This is?"
"This is Third Young Master Dongmen’s room."
For some reason, a hint of mystery surfaced on the Blood Lotus Sect Leader’s face:
"Su, the Chief of the Escort, Third Young Master Dongmen’s secrets are in this room.
"How much you can see through depends on your own skill, Chief."
"Oh?"
Su Mo froze for a moment, then smiled: "If I can’t see through it, won’t the Sect Leader give me an explanation?"
"Su, the Chief of the Escort, you jest."
The Blood Lotus Sect Leader gave a bitter smile: "You overestimate me... When Third Master acts, even the Longmen First Jing of those years didn’t dare ask questions. In later years, when the new First Shock succeeded him, although he brought the old man back from Donghuang to receive punishment, he still treated him with great respect.
"Look at this room—no bed, no place to rest.
"Yet this cave estate is vast.
"In the end, it’s simply giving the old man a place for quiet cultivation.
"How can that count as punishment?
"Some even say the First Shock simply missed Third Master, and thus called him back from Donghuang, wanting him close at hand."
Su Mo gave him a quiet look and nodded lightly.
His gaze then turned to the two tables in the room.
On the first table was a chess endgame.
Black and white pieces clashed, the board in chaotic battle.
Overall, the forces were evenly matched, hard to separate winner from loser.
Su Mo studied it quietly for a moment, but didn’t see any clue. He couldn’t very well stare at a chess game and insist it symbolized the Jinglong Association and the Imperial Dao, could he?
Yet there seemed to be something else hidden in this game that he couldn’t quite make out.
Su Mo wondered if this was simply because he wasn’t very good at chess.
He shook his head and looked to the second table.
What lay on this table was even stranger—a mass of red threads linked to several candles.
Some candles were already extinguished, some burned with blazing flames, towering above the rest.
There were also candles that were still lit, yet gradually growing feeble.
Seeing this, Su Mo suddenly turned to the Blood Lotus Sect Leader:
"You said he’s been gone for months... these candles?"
"These are candles made by Third Master himself. The old man has powers that reach through Heaven and Earth; with candles he makes, burning for months is nothing—burning for years, even hundreds of years, wouldn’t be anything rare."
"..."
Su Mo was speechless. Cloaked in all this talk of the Xuan, but isn’t this just the sort of Everlasting Lamp?
The oil lamps in the Martial God Temple have burned for thousands of years without going out—who knows whether Dongmen Yong stole them from there?
After all, that old man knows the Martial God Temple inside out; who can say he hasn’t snuck in to play the thief.
Yet faced with the messy red threads on this table and these candles, Su Mo couldn’t see any Xuanji in them.
Instead, it made him think of the summoning-Elder-God ritual Arrays from the anime he watched in his previous life...
Still, he memorized all these things, and finally came before the offering table.
On the offering table stood a memorial tablet, with the two characters "Qian Kun" written upon it.
"Does he think he’s Immortal Zhenyuan?"
Su Mo really couldn’t help voicing a complaint in his heart. But Immortal Zhenyuan worships Heaven and Earth, while he uses Qian Kun in their stead.
Lowering his head again, he saw that on the offering table there was also a letter. On the envelope, four large characters were written clearly: For Su Mo’s Eyes Only!
But the moment Su Mo’s gaze fell on that script, his mind buzzed.
