Chapter 784: Chapter 391: A New Idea; Establishing Merit Points

"Ring Spirit, tell me about what you’ve prepared for me," Cheng Zongyang asked.

The Ring Spirit immediately responded, "The Creation Space is for sculpting your Five Elements Body. The Reincarnation Space is for the necessary fusion. To shape the Five Elements Origin into a Five Elements Body that you can use, both your physical body and your Divine Soul will need to undergo a complete transformation. This is not some so-called possession or rebirth."

Cheng Zongyang understood.

The Ring Spirit continued, "Afterward, I will retrieve the Five Elements Spiritual Vein Origin. You will need to pay a body-sculpting fee of ten million Points and a fusion fee of five million Points."

Cheng Zongyang’s eyes immediately widened. "How much did you say?"

He had only managed to accumulate a little over twenty million Points to date, and that was with daily sales from the sacrificial sites.

But now the rules for sacrifice had changed, so the rate at which he gained Points had slowed, and the amount had decreased.

"This is necessary," the Ring Spirit added.

Cheng Zongyang was speechless.

"Fine," Cheng Zongyang said, nodding helplessly. He knew it was a necessary expense. The money had to be spent, one way or another.

’I can definitely make use of this Reincarnation Space and Creation Space,’ Cheng Zongyang mused, already considering how to best utilize the Reincarnation Space.

It was essentially his own Six Paths of Reincarnation; there were all sorts of things he could do with it.

Under the rules he had established, there was no such thing as reincarnation. Once someone died, they were dead for good. There was no hoping for rebirth to cultivate again or to live out multiple lifetimes.

’But now... perhaps that could be changed?’

’The only problem is, this method would consume my actual Points, while the ’points’ these people would use wouldn’t be the same as mine. The exchange is completely imbalanced.’

These new Reincarnation and Creation Spaces didn’t have any rules set yet; the Ring Spirit had only given him an instruction manual for the two spaces.

Thinking of this, Cheng Zongyang asked the Ring Spirit, "For this Reincarnation Space, the rules for its future use, the price users have to pay—do I get to decide all of that?"

The Ring Spirit replied, "Yes. As long as you don’t overstep the bounds of the master rules."

"In that case, can we establish our own rules for Points? Listen to my idea and tell me if it would work."

Cheng Zongyang then began to explain his idea to the Ring Spirit.

"You see, there’s a system of rules for Points between you and me. I need Points to acquire various permissions and resources. You need Points to advance your Realm and complete missions. So, on my end, can I establish a system of rules for Points between myself and the inhabitants of the Realm of Ten Thousand Races? They would then be able to acquire real Points, the kind we can both use."

"I cannot establish such a system of rules for them, because I am bound only to you."

Cheng Zongyang quickly replied, "You don’t have to establish the rules between you and them. I’ll be the one to form the binding with them. The Points I’ll take from them as a commission, I can use, which means you can use them too. I’ll be acting as the middleman.

"Let me use an analogy—it’s as if you’re the master of the World Spirit Plane now, and I’m the Jade Stone Ring Spirit. There are rules for Points between us, so you can only get Points from me, not directly from the inhabitants. But *I* can get Points from the inhabitants. The Points I obtain are the ones you need. Ring Spirit, aren’t these the very rules that govern you Jade Stone Ring Spirits?"

The Ring Spirit understood.

’Theoretically, it was indeed possible. But Cheng Zongyang’s method was tantamount to creating a "National System."’

’Cheng Zongyang would "bind" all the inhabitants, enabling the "entire nation" to earn Points, and he would take a commission from it all.’

’It had never even conceived of such a way to collect Points.’

’Back then, in order to obtain more Soul Power and Points, it had even expended some of its Origin to create a Host Companion Beast. The results were nothing compared to Cheng Zongyang’s proposed method.’

’But it was bound by its rules; it could only bind with and assist one individual at a time.’

’Cheng Zongyang, however, was different. The entire Realm of Ten Thousand Races, plus the Martial Arts Realm, and even the Earth Core Cultivation Immortality Realm that could be utilized in the future—all of it fell within the scope of what it and Cheng Zongyang could negotiate.’

"I need to determine if I’m capable of doing this," the Ring Spirit said.

Another thought struck Cheng Zongyang, and he said excitedly, "Ring Spirit, you’d better be able to do it! This is the fastest way for you to advance in a short amount of time."

’Points can’t directly raise my Realm, but if the Ring Spirit becomes more powerful, my own Cultivation speed won’t be slow at all.’

The Ring Spirit said, "I understand."

Its tone had grown considerably more solemn. It had never conceived of such a method.

Cheng Zongyang didn’t press the issue. These rules of exchange involved the fundamental principles of the World Spirit Plane’s master, so it was only natural that the Ring Spirit needed time to look into them.

After that, Cheng Zongyang decided against going to the Martial Arts Realm.

While waiting for the Ring Spirit to conduct its research, he quickly began designing the functions and rules for the Creation Space and the Reincarnation Space.

’If utilized properly, I could use the Creation Space to make many things myself instead of relying on purchases. But if the cost of creation ends up being higher than the cost of buying, it would defeat the purpose.’

’This kind of creation wasn’t something where you could make an item once, have it recorded, and then mass-produce cheap copies like in a factory.’

’No matter how many times the same item was duplicated, creation was always a process of shaping something out of thin air, of making something from nothing.’

’Therefore, the Creation Space could only be used for the most important purposes.’

’For instance, sculpting a brand-new body, just as the Ring Spirit had mentioned. This point made him think of his cousin, Cheng Zongyan.’

’She was an adult now, but her Hundred Poisons Body was still sealed. He had also heard that this cousin of his had actually founded her own department dedicated to researching poisons. Her products were supplied to the dark web and the Immortal Martial Hall.’

’He wondered if he could use the Creation Space’s ability to create a brand-new, controllable Hundred Poisons Body for her—one that wouldn’t uncontrollably endanger the lives of others.’
