"The King of North Snow has gone to Qin Capital, leaving the rear empty, so it’s understandable that this boy comes to take the treasure." The silver-haired elder hunches her back, threading the needle.

"This boy had decent talent back then, no less than that kid from last night, yet he was bent on restoring his nation, wasting his gifts."

"Now he’s lost both arms, what a pity... what a pity..." Old Shi laments.

"However, the few people this boy brought along this time have quite good strength. If last night’s kid Hoong Jun had no hidden means, he might end up buried in the mountain."

"Huh? That’s odd..." Old Shi pauses, slightly surprised, "Those two seem to be Primordial Qi Warriors of the Black and White Divine Palace."

"Let me check..." The silver-haired elder closes her eyes, "They really are Primordial Qi Warriors from the Black and White Divine Palace, but they should just be outer palace disciples."

"If people from the Black and White Divine Palace have come to this Cangxuan Western Continent, then the Celestial Martial Saint Hall..."

"I’ll go wipe them out..." Old Shi chuckles as he stands up.

Whoosh!

The needle and thread shot out in response, stopping Old Shi.

"Old companion, our task is to find good seedlings." The elder’s voice is slightly cold, "For two outer palace warriors from the Black and White Divine Palace, would you lower your stature to make a move?"

The room falls into silence.

A moment passes.

Old Shi sits back by the bed, speaking in a deep voice, "I’m mainly worried that the intervention of the Black and White Divine Palace means that the boy cannot..."

"That boy has a sharp mind, he should have some means." The silver-haired elder takes up yarn, knitting slowly and methodically, "Even if he dies, it would be due to his lack of strength."

"Wouldn’t it waste another somewhat promising person?"

"Haven’t we seen enough prodigies?" The silver-haired elder shakes her head.

"True, unable to pass this thousand-year calamity, ultimately will become a handful of yellow earth."

"This time it’s not a thousand-year calamity, but a ten-thousand-year one."

"Ten thousand years..." Old Shi puts down the white tea, gazing at the snow falling outside, saying no more.

...

Within Yan Mountain, outside the ruins of the Yan Imperial Mausoleum.

Pang Quan and Pang Star, the powerful figures of the North Snow Army, lurk in the shadows.

Above the snow, a young man in black robes looks down.

Snowflakes swirl, a thousand miles of white glow, until nightfall descends.

Five figures enter the mountain, hiding their presence, directly heading toward the Imperial Mausoleum.

"They’re here."

The powerful figures of the North Snow Army, Pang Quan, and Pang Star, detect the disturbance from their hidden positions.

"Notify the third brother, get everyone to surround them." Pang Quan orders.

"Notified." Pang Star watches intently from afar, eager to act.

"Don’t rush, wait for them to open the relic before taking action."

"..."

Above the clouds.

"It really is Yan Huan."

Chu Ming also detects the arrival of five strong individuals.

Yan Huan was severely injured and lost both arms initially, yet within such a short time, he has reached Perfection in the Upper Meridian Unlocking Realm.

Yet, even at Upper Meridian Unlocking Perfection—regarding the upcoming struggle over these relics—he’s probably not even a match for cannon fodder.

Among the four he brought, one is at the Middle Stage of the Bone Marrow Cleansing Realm, one at the Initial Stage.

The other two are Primordial Qi Warriors, belonging to the Fifth Realm Primordial Qi Seed Middle Stage, but the two disguised themselves, appearing only to be at the Initial Stage.

Yan Huan and his companions arrive silently at the site of the main gate of the Yan Imperial Mausoleum ruins.

Snow covers ten enormous collapsed stone pillars, indicating the grandeur of the mausoleum in its days.

Yan Huan gazes at the mausoleum, momentarily distracted, then fury and hatred appear in his eyes.

"Let’s go."

Crossing the main gate, the five strides forward without leaving traces in the snow, continuing deeper.

Inside the mausoleum, the snow piles thick, barely revealing some broken-down structures.

Yan Huan leads the other four, delving deeper until they stop at the central location of the mausoleum.

This should have been an enormous plaza initially, devoid of ruins, only covered by thick snow.

Yan Wood and Yan Qing each take a side, heading to the plaza’s edge.

Along the plaza are twelve battered flagpoles, worn by millennia of wind and frost, they have long become decrepit, with three flagpoles reduced to thumb lengths, hidden under the snow.

Yan Wood and Yan Qing pull out each of the twelve flagpoles in succession.

Swish!

The snow on the plaza seems to vibrate as a whole in that instant, so subtle that it’s nearly imperceptible unless experienced firsthand.

"My king, it’s ready." Yan Wood bows down and returns.

Yan Huan nods, turning to address the two Primordial Qi Warriors sent by Ming Yu, "You two, please step back a little, I am about to open the mausoleum."

"The mausoleum hasn’t been opened for millennia, it might cause a commotion. If it attracts the North Snow Army, I hope you can fend off one or two; there will be great reward afterward."

"Rest assured, Brother Yan, we are here precisely to assist you in reclaiming the relics."

Yan Huan says no more, his body moving slightly, his previously empty arm sockets suddenly exhibiting movement.

In a flash, the arms seem to grow out from thin air.

Regrowing limbs?

Above the clouds, Chu Ming observes in secret astonishment, but soon he realizes it’s not truly regrowing limbs.

Upon closer inspection, Yan Huan’s arms appear to be some kind of treasure, linked as limbs, not grown out of nothingness.

Below on the plaza.

With a flip of the hand, Yan Huan produces a black token, the character ’Yan’ visible on its face; this token is the Yan Hanling.

Clutching the Yan Hanling, he raises it before him, a blood arrow spurts forth, striking the Yan Hanling.

Then he grips forcefully.

Crack!

The Yan Hanling shatters, scattering fragments, precisely dividing into twelve pieces, flying into the sockets of the original twelve flagpoles around the plaza.

Rumble!

In an instant, a blinding light erupts over the plaza, the ground rumbling along.

Yan Huan, Yan Wood, and Yan Qing’s eyes gleam, faces expressing joy.

While the two sent by Ming Yu, Black Ash and Ice Bone, turn icy, eyes concealing cold laughter.

Rumble!

Amidst a thunderous boom, akin to stone crashing to earth or some explosion, a pitch-black channel collapses in the center of the plaza.

The Yan Imperial Mausoleum, opened.

Swish! Swish! Swish!

From the outskirts, three figures rush forward, with more troops behind them.

"The North Snow Army has discovered this place, quickly get inside!"

Yan Huan and his companions directly charge into the pitch-black passage.

Black Ash and Ice Bone swiftly form complex gestures, in the void numerous ice cones and fireballs visibly coalesce.
