Chapter 685 - 357: Spirit of the Sword Abyss (Part 2)

Wiping off the mark on top, he submerged his Heart Spirit to inspect.

"Returning to the Origin Realm, Middle Stage, over two thousand years ago?"

This person had actually entered the Seven-Star Sword Tomb before the Seven-Star Kingdom was even established, and their strength was not weak, having ventured all the way to the deepest part of the Sword Abyss.

However, after more than two thousand years, this person had long had their consciousness erased by the Sword Abyss, becoming nothing more than a demonized being, or rather, a guardian of the Sword Abyss.

As for the treasures in the Storage Space, there was nothing of use; their ranks were too low, and the higher-tier ones were probably used up while breaking through the Sword Tomb. The only thing worth noticing was the long sword in the demonized being’s hand.

Unfortunately, this long sword, having been through over two thousand years, was severely damaged, its spirituality lost, rendering it almost useless.

Otherwise, Chu Ming would not have defeated him so easily.

But it wasn’t a complete loss; from the items left behind by the demonized being, he obtained the route to the sword body harboring the Sword Spirit.

Recognizing the direction, he continued forward.

After half an hour, another demonized being appeared, more terrifyingly powerful than the previous one.

Chu Ming first burned it with the Mutated Black Flame, then used True Intent Divine Techniques, Seven Stars of Destruction, to annihilate it.

Checking the Storage Space, he learned that the second demonized being was once a Returning to the Origin Realm, Late Stage powerhouse, no wonder it was so strong.

Fortunately, there didn’t seem to be many demonized beings in the Sword Abyss. After slaying the second one, it took over another two hours to encounter the third demonized one.

This one’s strength was similar to that of the first demonized being, and he dispatched it without much effort.

In contrast to the first demonized being, who provided nothing, the latter two contributed quite a bit.

Two Innate Spiritual Treasures, over ten thousand grains of Star Sand, and various Secret Manuals, Classics, Elixirs, and so on.

"This trip to the Seven-Star Sword Tomb has already granted me four or five Innate Spiritual Treasures..."

Chu Ming remembered that back in the Yiyang Kingdom, he had been thinking about saving up ten thousand Star Sand to purchase Innate Spiritual Treasures from the Heavenly Inquiry Tower.

He took out two Innate Spiritual Treasures, wiped away the marks, infused them with his own Qi Blood, then handed them to Xing Man.

Xing Man didn’t understand the reason, but obediently accepted them.

Chu Ming glanced at her, withdrew his gaze, and continued forward.

The two Innate Spiritual Treasures he gave Xing Man were not offensive weapons but were rather special, capable of self-detonation.

Their specific function was similar to sealing five or six Primordial Qi Secret Techniques compressed to the extreme within Xing Man before entering the Seven-Star Sword Tomb.

At critical moments, they might serve an unexpected purpose.

The white mist grew thicker, and visibility to the naked eye was less than half a meter.

This time, after advancing for nearly two more hours, no demonized being appeared again.

Estimating the journey, roughly another half hour would be needed to reach the depths of the Sword Abyss, where the Sword Platform harboring the Sword Spirit lay.

At this moment, Chu Ming’s eyes suddenly changed, vigilantly gazing toward his right front.

"Sword Puppet?"

[Book and Painting Realm] detected a golden Sword Puppet attacking.

Sure enough, as soon as he stopped, golden light pierced through the white mist ahead.

Chu Ming reacted swiftly, instantly summoning the Seven-Star Divine Sword to collide.

Clang—

The sound of gold and iron echoed, parting the white mist to reveal the golden Sword Puppet.

"Hmm?"

Chu Ming keenly spotted a distinct sword mark on the chest of the golden Sword Puppet, appearing to have been made recently.

Without much thought, it was likely caused by Han Court.

The Sword Puppet guarded the Sword Abyss, blocking one sword only to unleash an even fiercer one.

Chu Ming, not willing to waste time, directly unleashed the True Intent Divine Techniques, Seven Stars of Destruction.

Cracks spread across the golden Sword Puppet’s body, as golden light burst forth from within.

Boom—

Three swords struck, leaving the golden Sword Puppet in a heap of fragments.

At the moment the golden Sword Puppet crumbled, in the depths of the Sword Abyss, there stood a thirty-zhang-tall cyan stone platform.

The stone platform caved inward at the center and bulged outward, bowl-shaped, its edges embedded with broken Seven-Star Divine Swords.

In its center, a person abruptly opened their eyes, and from them, two terrifying beams of Sword Qi shot forth, shaking the stone platform.

At the same time, a Seven-Star Divine Sword emitting a golden glow floated beside him, its seven stars shining brilliantly.

A closer look revealed that the seven stars differed from those on other Seven-Star Divine Swords, connected by Sword Qi, forming their own spirituality.

"The guardian Sword Puppet has been destroyed?" Han Court leaped into the air, his expression cold, "Let me see who’s ventured here?"

Shwoom—

A golden stream of light pierced the white mist, heading straight for the spot where the golden Sword Puppet had shattered.

Chu Ming was inspecting the Sword Puppet’s fragments when he heard a sharp sound slicing through the air from afar.

With a sense of movement, he immediately cast a golden light to bind Xing Man.

If he guessed correctly, the number one powerhouse of the Seven-Star Kingdom, Han Court, had arrived.

To allow Xing Man to perform a surprise betrayal and ambush, he had to act convincingly, using treasures to bind Xing Man in pretense, without letting the opponent detect any flaws.

As expected, in just a moment, the white mist parted of its own accord, and Han Court’s figure gradually descended from the sky.

As he landed, the Sword Intent contained within the entire Sword Abyss seemed to hum in response.

"Han Court!"

Xing Man of the Seven-Star Kingdom instantly recognized the newcomer.

Han Court looked at Xing Man, frowning slightly.

No one knew Xing Man’s strength better than him; even making it through the Fifth Sword Tomb was impressive, stepping into the Sixth Sword Tomb meant certain death, so how could he possibly reach the deepest part of the Seven-Star Sword Tomb, the Sword Abyss.

His cold eyes moved, and a black-clad figure came into view.

A young man in black clothing, with a stern face—the mysterious figure who had annihilated two Seventh Realm Law Enforcers of the Heavenly Inquiry Tower!

Also, it was their Seven-Star Kingdom’s enemy, or rather, Xing Man’s enemy.

With a slight curve at the corner of his mouth, Han Court gave a sinister smile on the surface, though inwardly he was cautious.

The man in black had brought Xing Man to this place, indicating his power was incredibly strong, at least much stronger than Han Court was before obtaining the Sword Spirit.
