Chapter 464: Chapter 238: Entry into the Myriad Phenomena Infinite Dao
THUMP—
About a quarter of an hour later, as the Chen period (7 AM to 9 AM) arrived, the massive bronze bell outside the hall punctually rang three times.
A gentle breeze swept by, and a figure appeared out of thin air on the cattail mat atop the high platform.
It was an old man with grizzled hair and a beard, dressed in a gray Daoist robe.
He was gaunt, with a crimson-purple wine gourd hanging from his waist. His eyelids drooped, giving him the lazy appearance of someone who hadn’t quite woken up.
Yet, the instant he appeared,
Jiang Che’s pupils contracted sharply.
[True: All-Seeing Eye] quietly activated.
In his vision, this old man, who seemed on the verge of death, appeared to have an ancient Fierce Beast slumbering within him!
His aura was as deep as an abyss, and though it was extremely restrained, the occasional wisp that leaked out was enough to make Jiang Che’s heart pound with fear.
‘So strong!’
‘This aura… It’s definitely no weaker than that of Elder Xuan Cheng, who greeted us the other day!’
‘He must be at least at the Tenth Layer of the True Master Realm, or maybe even… Half-Step True Mastery?!’
Jiang Che was inwardly awed. He immediately retracted his probing gaze and adopted a posture of respectful attentiveness.
“My surname is Gu. You can call me Elder Gu.”
Elder Gu yawned. Though his voice was lazy, it carried clearly to the ears of everyone present.
“Today, I will lecture on the first layer of the Basic Chapter of the Myriad Phenomena Infinite Dao: the method of ‘Qi Absorption and Returning to the Origin’ and ‘Exotic True Qi Transformation’.”
Without any unnecessary chatter, Elder Gu cut straight to the chase and began reciting the scriptures.
“The Myriad Phenomena encompasses all things; the Infinite returns to nothingness…”
“To cultivate this Dao, first empty your mind, then fill your core…”
As Elder Gu spoke, segment after segment of obscure and difficult mnemonic chants, coupled with his unique insights into the transformations of qi, echoed throughout the hall.
He didn’t speak quickly, and he would even pause occasionally to take a sip of wine.
But the content was exceedingly profound, especially the process of dismantling, reorganizing, and ultimately transforming one’s original Exotic True Qi into Myriad Phenomena True Qi, which was abstruse beyond measure.
Within the hall, the brows of the vast majority of disciples gradually furrowed, their faces showing expressions of pain and confusion.
Su Xiaoxiao chewed on her writing brush, her little face scrunched up into a knot.
Lin Xiao, on the other hand, wrote furiously, trying to record every single word, but beads of sweat had already formed on his forehead.
Even the usually clever Bao Da was now scratching his ears and cheeks, his eyes glazed over.
Jiang Che alone listened with rapt attention.
He already possessed the complete inheritance of True Master Bai Yi and had an extremely deep understanding of the Martial Dao.
Furthermore, he had read hundreds of Cultivation Techniques and had his Comprehension reforged after being baptized by the True Intent of True Master Xuan Yang.
The so-called “difficult points” in Elder Gu’s lecture now seemed as clear and straightforward to him as peeling a cocoon layer by layer.
The obscure passages from his studies of the Cultivation Technique the previous night were now suddenly crystal clear.
‘So that’s how it is…’
‘The core of the Myriad Phenomena Infinite Dao’s transformation method lies in the concept of “Transformation.” It’s not about Barbaric Power or head-on collision, but more like water dripping through stone—a gentle, silent permeation…’
A sharp glint flashed in Jiang Che’s eyes. His True Qi had even unconsciously completed a minor Circulation according to Elder Gu’s method, and it was surprisingly smooth!

‘I’ve reached Entry Level!’
Jiang Che was overjoyed.
Before he knew it, an hour had passed.
“Alright, that’s all for today.”
Elder Gu took a swig from his wine gourd and, without caring whether the crowd had understood, his figure flickered and vanished into thin air once more.
“We respectfully see you off, Elder!”
Even though he was gone, the crowd still bowed respectfully.
After the Elder left, the hall immediately erupted in a chorus of groans and laments.
“My heavens… what kind of celestial scripture was that?”
Bao Da flopped down onto his cattail mat, a look of utter despair on his face. “I felt like I recognized every word, but once he strung them together, I had no idea what he was talking about!”
“It’s too difficult…” Lin Xiao also put down his brush. He looked at his densely packed but utterly incoherent notes and shook his head with a wry smile. “Is this what a Cultivation Technique from a top-tier Sect is like? Just the entry-level transformation is so obscure.”
“I understood less than ten percent…” Su Xiaoxiao mumbled, dejected. “How are we supposed to practice this!”
Seeing the utterly defeated looks on the three of them, Jiang Che was slightly taken aback.
‘Was it that hard?’
He subconsciously wanted to ask, but he swallowed the words before they could leave his mouth.
Looking at the other disciples around him, who all wore similarly pained expressions, he finally realized it wasn’t that the lecture wasn’t difficult, but that his own foundation was simply too profound!
‘It seems… this is where my advantage lies.’
Jiang Che was secretly delighted but showed no sign of it on his face. Instead, he chimed in to agree.
“It is indeed quite profound. It should be fine if we go back and ponder it some more.”
The three of them didn’t suspect a thing. After all, everyone was new to this Cultivation Technique. Who would have guessed that a freak like Jiang Che had basically understood it all after hearing it just once?
It was still early when they left Wenda Hall.
Bao Da had a restless personality and quickly recovered from the blow. He suggested:
“We won’t make any headway practicing right now anyway, so why don’t we go check out Duobao Peak?”
“I hear it’s the most bustling place in the Myriad Phenomena Dao Sect. They have everything—Elixir Pills, Magical Treasures, Divine Weapons… Even if we can’t afford anything, it’ll be great just to broaden our horizons!”
Hearing “Duobao Peak,” Su Xiaoxiao’s and Lin Xiao’s eyes lit up as well.
“Yeah! I want to go see it too!” Su Xiaoxiao was the first to respond.
“Since that’s the case, let’s go together,” Jiang Che agreed with a nod.
He also wanted to see what kind of impressive goods this top-tier Sect’s “shopping center” might have to offer.
And so, the four of them followed the signs, heading together toward the faintly glowing Duobao Peak.
