Chapter 383: Chapter 372: Hidden Dragon, Riding the Wind

You even secretly seduced the Ren Family’s Young Master and scammed him out of his New Year’s money. I’m not wrong, am I?"

The man waved his hand dismissively. "Kill everyone except for Ren Xiuxiu," he said casually.

"Wait, boss!"

One of the Horse Bandits couldn’t help but laugh. "What a waste to kill ’em. Wouldn’t it be better to let the brothers have some fun...?"

"Yeah, yeah!"

Unexpectedly, before the leader could agree, the skinny girl from before chimed in with a fawning smile. "I can make all of you gentlemen feel very comfortable.

Oh, and by the way..."

She reached down and began to untie her skirt, and as if afraid that wasn’t enough, she added, "Actually, Ren Xiuxiu can, too.

You don’t need a virgin to get a ransom. The Ren Family’s young lady is just as desperate for it. Down at the foot of the mountain, she was shamelessly trying to get a man to come and ’play’ with us...

Isn’t that right, Xiuxiu?"

"You...!"

Ren Xiuxiu trembled with rage at her friend’s words, almost unable to speak.

’Getting kidnapped is one thing; if they get the money, I might live. But to be defiled, to become a plaything for these Horse Bandits... that would be a fate worse than death.’

The gang of Horse Bandits seemed swayed by the skinny woman’s suggestion, and greasy, lewd chuckles filled the air.

Just then, the sound of rustling footsteps came from outside the dense woods, and three figures walked in, one after another.

"That’s him!"

Upon seeing the newcomers, the skinny girl was the first to point at the handsome, Young-Master-like man in the lead, her voice dripping with a venomous and morbid glee. "He’s the man Ren Xiuxiu was trying to seduce!"

"He really is a top-tier pretty boy. No wonder even the great young lady of the Ren Family couldn’t resist..."

Several Horse Bandits, brandishing their blades, advanced on the newcomers with vicious smirks on their faces.

Ren Xiuxiu, of course, recognized him in an instant. At that moment, filled with a sudden, inexplicable courage, she raised a gun and shouted anxiously at him, "Quick! Get out of here!!"

She didn’t even know his name.

However, the handsome Young Master walking toward them seemed not to have heard a single word anyone said, nor to have seen a single person present.

His gaze traveled past the crowd, his eyes fixed on the distant waterfall between the twin peaks directly opposite the cliff.

He didn’t break his stride, chuckling softly as he sighed, "This time, it seems I’ve truly found it.

This is the Hidden Dragon Waterfall I’ve been searching for..."

He casually called out a name, and immediately, the tall man following in his footsteps rushed forward with a blank expression. He was like a gust of wind passing through the dense woods, sweeping gently around the clearing.

When the man’s figure reappeared, all the Horse Bandits in the clearing—including the skinny girl in the Western dress who dreamed of conspiring with them—were frozen in place.

A finger-sized bloody hole had inexplicably appeared between each of their eyebrows. They collapsed to the ground one by one, not understanding what had happened even in the moment before death.

It all happened so fast—in the blink of an eye, all of them were dead.

Ren Xiuxiu, the chubby girl beside her, and He San, who had just stepped into the woods, all stood frozen on the spot, their mouths agape, completely stunned.

By now, the handsome Young Master had already walked to the edge of the cliff.

From beginning to end, he hadn’t spared even a single glance for the scene in the clearing, or for Ren Xiuxiu.

The mountain wind whipped at the hem of his robes, making them flutter and snap.

The next second, a faint golden light bloomed from his body, inch by inch. Then, he took a gentle step forward, melting into the roiling clouds beyond the cliff as if walking on air. ℴℴ𝘮

An ethereal voice drifted back from within the mist.

"Hong Huan, don’t forget... to give him a reward."

These words were apparently directed at the tall man who had just done the killing.

Upon hearing this, the tall man flicked his wrist. The sound of dozens of silver coins slicing through the air and embedding themselves in wood was a single, sharp noise. They were all neatly stuck in the pine tree closest to He San.

Then, he took a deep breath, and with a powerful push of his legs, he leaped out like a great bird, chasing in the direction the handsome Young Master had gone, and quickly vanished from sight.

Pine needles rustled down from the tree. The vast woods fell silent. The three people left in the clearing could only stare at the endlessly churning clouds beyond the cliff and the silver waterfall faintly visible on the other side.

After a moment, the stunned He San suddenly fell to his knees with a THUD. Facing the pine tree studded with silver coins, he began to kowtow, muttering "Immortal... an Immortal has revealed himself..." over and over.

It took a long time for Ren Xiuxiu to come back to her senses. Her mind was completely filled with the image of that figure stepping into the void and departing.

Her chubby friend, who had just survived the ordeal, was muttering dazedly in her ear, "Xiuxiu... Xiuxiu!"

"Who... or what... was that man you have a crush on?!"
