It didn't take long for Luke and Tony to arrive at the coordinates displayed on the map: an abandoned, highly dilapidated iron foundry.

Observing the massive, thick layer of undisturbed dust covering the entire exterior, the two decided to remain airborne, hovering silently above the structure to avoid contaminating any potential ground evidence.

Tony immediately deployed several specialized, highly advanced micro-drones from his armor to begin a meticulous, localized scan of the foundry's interior. Simultaneously, Luke released a massive swarm of highly stealthy Shadow Ninjas to actively scour the area.

To ensure absolute preservation of the localized crime scene, the Shadow Ninjas exclusively utilized their ethereal shadow-forms, gliding seamlessly along the walls and ceilings. Tony's drones were also strictly prohibited from landing, cautiously navigating the cramped, heavily rusted corridors.

After several tense minutes, a Shadow Ninja silently materialized from the floor directly in front of Luke, executing a highly specific tactical gesture.

Luke and Tony exhaled a massive, synchronized sigh of relief. The ninja had successfully discovered localized evidence. They immediately followed the ninja deep into the sprawling, decaying complex.

They eventually arrived at a massive, incredibly dusty central processing room. The area was significantly more chaotic than the exterior, littered with rusted, heavy machinery and scattered debris.

Under the Shadow Ninja's precise guidance, they immediately noticed a massive, highly anomalous blackened crater in the center of the concrete floor.

Tony instantly activated his suit's localized holographic mapping protocols. Several drones rapidly flew into the room, utilizing highly precise, micro-bursts of compressed air to carefully blow away the top layer of dust, fully revealing the massive scorch marks.

Tony slowly lowered his altitude, hovering inches above the blackened concrete. He frowned deeply, his highly analytical mind rapidly processing the localized thermal scarring and structural damage.

"Based on the specific, localized carbon scoring and the structural deformation of the concrete... a massive, highly concentrated explosion occurred here. Furthermore, there are multiple, distinct, overlapping blast radii," Tony noted grimly.

"Upload the localized structural model to J.A.R.V.I.S. Initiate full forensic reconstruction protocol."

"Understood, Sir."

J.A.R.V.I.S.'s smooth voice echoed through the suit's comms. The micro-drones instantly positioned themselves in the four corners of the room, executing a highly complex, multi-spectral laser scan.

Utilizing the massive, unparalleled computational power of the Stark Industries supercomputer, J.A.R.V.I.S. rapidly analyzed the localized blast patterns, the specific stress fractures in the surrounding walls, and the highly chaotic debris scatter. Within seconds, the system successfully mathematically deduced the exact origin point, total yield, chronological sequence, and even the highly probable physical positions of the individuals present during the detonation.

However, as Tony reviewed the final, highly detailed forensic reconstruction, his frown deepened significantly.

"Is there a localized anomaly?" Luke asked, floating nearby.

"The forensic data is incredibly bizarre," Tony muttered, gesturing at the overlapping blast radii. "Given the massive, concentrated explosive yield required to inflict this specific structural damage... did the hostile targets casually carry a localized, military-grade missile into the room?"

"Could it have been pre-planted, highly concentrated C4 charges? Given the sheer explosive mass required, they couldn't possibly carry it manually," Luke hypothesized, trying to make sense of Tony's confusion.

"That hypothesis is fundamentally flawed," Tony argued, pointing directly at the holographic blast sequence. "Look closely at these specific, secondary blast marks. They are located incredibly close to the primary epicenter. Mathematically, the initial, massive detonation should have instantly, violently triggered the secondary charges via sympathetic detonation. Instead... the secondary explosions occurred several seconds after the initial blast."

Tony crossed his armored arms, highly perplexed. "Unless the hostile targets possessed impossibly stable, highly advanced military-grade explosives... or the explosives literally spontaneously sprouted legs, violently survived the initial blast wave, and physically relocated themselves before detonating... the forensic data is entirely contradictory."

While Tony, the unparalleled, absolute genius of modern weaponry, struggled to reconcile the impossible ballistic data, his passing, highly sarcastic comment about 'explosives sprouting legs' suddenly triggered a massive, highly specific memory in Luke's mind.

Human bombs. Intense localized heat. Extremis.

Luke's eyes widened slightly. He immediately pulled out his phone and dialed Pepper.

She answered almost instantly, her voice tight with profound anxiety. "Luke! Have you successfully located Happy?!"

"Please maintain localized calm, Pepper," Luke reassured her smoothly. "Since T.H.U.R.S.D.A.Y. was actively accompanying him, the probability of his physical survival is incredibly high. You personally know how aggressively Tony prioritized the defensive plating on those specific drones. Happy is undoubtedly currently secured within an impenetrable metallic bunker."

Having temporarily stabilized Pepper's anxiety, Luke quickly asked a highly specific question. "Pepper, are you formally acquainted with an organization designated as Advanced Idea Mechanics? A.I.M.?"

"Yes, absolutely," Pepper replied immediately, her sharp, executive mind instantly shifting gears. "Their current CEO, Aldrich Killian, formally visited Stark Industries several days ago. He aggressively requested massive, localized financial investment for a highly classified biological research project... Do you genuinely suspect A.I.M. is actively responsible for Happy's disappearance? I will immediately aggressively compile a highly detailed intelligence dossier on their entire corporate structure and transmit it to your localized HUD."

Luke thanked her and ended the call.

Tony, having overheard the highly specific line of inquiry, immediately hovered closer. "A.I.M.?"

Luke quickly provided a highly condensed summary of Aldrich Killian and the highly volatile 'Extremis' biological enhancement program.

Tony listened intently, his expression darkening into absolute, cold fury. He clenched his armored fists tightly. "I sincerely hope for their sake that they haven't inflicted any localized physical trauma on Happy. Because if they have... I absolutely don't care if they can spontaneously explode or magically shoot fire from their mouths. I will completely, permanently annihilate their entire corporate structure!"

A few moments later, Pepper's highly detailed intelligence dossier arrived.

Luke and Tony rapidly scanned A.I.M.'s primary corporate headquarters location, but quickly dismissed it. If A.I.M. had actively kidnapped a high-profile target like Happy Hogan, they absolutely wouldn't be foolish enough to store him in their highly public, heavily monitored corporate headquarters.

Instead, they decided to conduct a highly covert, localized reconnaissance mission.

They casually strolled into a generic, highly unassuming coffee shop located directly across the street from the massive, heavily fortified A.I.M. corporate skyscraper. Because stealth was absolutely paramount, they were both wearing highly advanced, localized holographic disguise masks, making them completely unrecognizable.

Sipping a highly mediocre espresso, Luke stared out the window at the gleaming corporate logo. "Since we currently lack any definitive, localized intelligence confirming Happy's presence within the facility, I'll deploy a massive swarm of Shadow Ninjas to actively conduct a highly covert, thorough sweep of the building. If Happy is secured inside, we immediately initiate a localized extraction protocol. If he isn't... we must temporarily maintain absolute stealth and patiently acquire additional intelligence."

"Understood," Tony nodded grimly. "Happy's localized physical safety is the absolute primary tactical objective. I will temporarily dismiss S.A.T.U.R.D.A.Y. and S.U.N.D.A.Y. to return to the Tower and equip significantly heavier, localized combat configurations. Once we secure Happy... I intend to aggressively, personally introduce Aldrich Killian to the fundamental laws of kinetic impact."

Luke nodded. He silently, covertly deployed several hundred highly trained, entirely ethereal Shadow Ninjas. The pitch-black entities seamlessly, flawlessly infiltrated the massive corporate skyscraper, effortlessly bypassing the highly advanced, localized biometric security protocols.

While they waited, Luke casually pulled out his phone, pretending to be deeply engrossed in a mobile game.

After several tense minutes, a pair of glowing red eyes briefly flashed within Luke's localized shadow. He frowned slightly.

Tony immediately put down his own phone, ignoring his highly impressive high score. "Did they successfully locate Happy?"

"Negative," Luke replied quietly. "However, my infiltration squad successfully breached their highly secure, localized primary data archives. They recovered several highly interesting, deeply concerning classified documents."

Luke pretended to retrieve an item from his backpack, smoothly withdrawing a thick, heavily encrypted physical file folder, and slid it discreetly across the table to Tony.

Tony rapidly opened the folder. His expression instantly darkened into absolute, profound disgust as he scanned the highly classified data. "They are actively, aggressively conducting highly unethical, localized human experimentation on massive scales?"

He stared at the endless rows of horrifying biological data, his fury escalating.

"Tony, maintain localized focus," Luke warned softly. "The absolute primary tactical objective remains locating and securing Happy. We can aggressively completely dismantle their highly unethical corporate operations later."

Tony took a deep, steadying breath, forcefully suppressing his overwhelming urge to immediately don his armor and violently obliterate the building. He continued rapidly scanning the documents.

Suddenly, his eyes locked onto a highly specific, localized logistical coordinate.

"Here. They actively maintain a highly classified, heavily fortified, off-the-books localized research facility situated on an isolated, privately owned island in the Pacific. Based on the shipping manifests, they possess a significant quantity of highly anomalous, localized biological assets stored there."

Luke nodded slowly in recognition. That's highly likely the specific, localized island estate where the fake 'Mandarin' was orchestrating his theatrical terror broadcasts.

Although A.I.M. hadn't currently actively escalated to the massive, highly organized global terror campaign depicted in the original timeline, the island was undeniably their primary, highly secure black-site laboratory.

"That's our target," Luke confirmed.

They left a generous tip on the table and smoothly exited the coffee shop.

A short time later, high above the Pacific Ocean...

Tony, fully encased in his heavily upgraded armor, and Luke hovered silently within dense cloud cover, maintaining a highly secure, high-altitude observation position directly above the isolated island.

To acquire highly precise, localized tactical intelligence, Tony aggressively bypassed standard military protocols, directly hijacking a high-resolution Stark Industries observation satellite to conduct a comprehensive, multi-spectral thermal scan of the island.

The satellite telemetry instantly revealed numerous, highly anomalous thermal signatures scattered across the complex.

"This is highly concerning," Tony noted, analyzing the data on his HUD. "The baseline physiological temperature of these specific, localized guards is averaging nearly fifty degrees Celsius (122°F). That is fundamentally, biologically impossible for a standard human. They are undeniably actively enhanced by the Extremis virus."

To avoid triggering the island's localized perimeter defense radar, Luke and Tony executed a highly stealthy, low-altitude HALO drop directly into the ocean several miles offshore. They swam underwater, utilizing their respective capabilities to silently, flawlessly bypass the island's coastal patrols.

The absolute microsecond they breached the shoreline, Luke aggressively, silently unleashed a massive, localized deployment of over ten thousand Shadow Ninjas!

The island was heavily forested, creating massive, dense, interconnected localized shadows—an absolutely perfect, highly advantageous operational environment for the Shadowkhan. The massive, ethereal army seamlessly, silently melted into the jungle, initiating a highly aggressive, ultra-precise grid search.

Given the absolutely overwhelming, localized numerical superiority of the search party, it took mere minutes to successfully locate Happy Hogan.

Deep within a heavily reinforced, highly secure, localized subterranean bunker...

A heavily tattooed, muscular guard casually pulled a cigarette from his pocket. Instead of utilizing a lighter, he simply aggressively focused his mind. His fingertip instantly flared with intense, localized, highly volatile heat, effortlessly igniting the cigarette.

Taking a deep, highly satisfied drag, the bald guard glared incredibly irritably at the massive, heavily immobilized Iron Legion drone currently suspended from the ceiling by incredibly thick, highly reinforced localized titanium chains.

"Exactly how long do you intend to stubbornly cower inside that pathetic metal shell?!" the guard demanded aggressively. "You've been physically confined in there for over forty-eight hours without a single microsecond of localized nutritional intake! Aren't you starving?!"

A highly muffled, incredibly exhausted, yet profoundly defiant voice echoed from within the T.H.U.R.S.D.A.Y. armor. Happy immediately unleashed a highly aggressive, incredibly creative, continuous stream of colorful American profanities. He didn't pause for breath for nearly five minutes.

The bald guard stared at the armor, absolutely bewildered, turning to his equally confused partner. "Is his mouth completely biologically immune to dehydration? I completely understand not experiencing immediate starvation—he's a highly robust, overweight individual, he possesses massive localized caloric reserves. But the dehydration aspect is highly illogical."

"How is he physically capable of continuously aggressively screaming for two consecutive days without desperately requiring localized hydration?!"

Inside the heavily armored drone, Happy awkwardly licked his incredibly dry, highly chapped lips. He tapped a localized control panel, temporarily muting the external audio feed.

"Do you currently possess any residual, localized hydration reserves? I am incredibly thirsty," Happy croaked.

"Negative," T.H.U.R.S.D.A.Y.'s highly apologetic AI voice responded. "If you refuse to actively utilize the localized urination protocols, I am mathematically incapable of synthesizing fresh water. While Mr. Stark successfully integrated a highly advanced, emergency localized water-filtration and recycling system, it fundamentally violates the laws of thermodynamics; it cannot magically synthesize water from nothing."

Although Happy and the drone had been successfully ambushed and captured, Tony's highly paranoid, massive localized defensive upgrades to the T.H.U.R.S.D.A.Y. chassis had completely, utterly thwarted the Extremis guards' attempts to physically breach the armor. Furthermore, the drone's advanced internal repair protocols continuously, passively regenerated any minor localized structural damage.

However, while the armor was functionally invincible, Happy was a standard biological human. He absolutely required localized sustenance.

T.H.U.R.S.D.A.Y. had successfully utilized the emergency filtration system to aggressively recycle Happy's initial urine output, providing a tiny, localized supply of highly purified drinking water. However, after numerous, continuous recycling cycles, the localized volume had drastically decreased, and the resulting liquid had acquired a highly concerning, distinctly yellow hue.

The localized reserves were now entirely, completely depleted. Happy was running entirely on fumes and pure, unadulterated spite.

"Honestly... despite my highly reduced localized presence within the company hierarchy recently... have they genuinely, absolutely failed to even notice I've been completely missing for two days?!" Happy complained miserably.

Outside the armor, the bald guard noticed the sudden silence. He sighed, highly bored, gesturing for his partner to resume futilely attempting to aggressively pry open the armor's localized joint seams with a heavy crowbar.

The bald guard sat down heavily on a nearby crate, pulling out his smartphone. Because the island maintained a massive, highly powerful localized signal jamming array to prevent external communication, he lacked internet access. He casually opened a generic, highly repetitive puzzle game to pass the time.

After repeatedly, highly frustratingly failing to clear level two for the fifth consecutive time, the guard angrily exited the application. He casually opened the phone's front-facing camera, intending to check his reflection.

However, as he stared at the screen, he noticed a highly anomalous, pitch-black silhouette casually hanging completely upside-down from the concrete ceiling directly behind him!

Before the guard could even open his mouth to yell...

Two highly lethal, incredibly sharp, pitch-black katanas violently, silently flashed in the dim light!

The bald guard was instantly, cleanly, brutally sliced completely in half at the waist!

Hearing the sudden, highly anomalous sound, the other guards rapidly spun around. They were instantly met by dozens of highly intimidating, glowing red eyes actively emerging from the surrounding localized shadows!

"You guys finally showed up!" Happy cheered enthusiastically from within the armor, recognizing Luke's signature operatives. However, because the armor was still securely suspended from the ceiling by the massive chains, he could only swing helplessly back and forth.

Two Shadow Ninjas smoothly stepped forward, their katanas flashing brilliantly, effortlessly slicing completely through the massive, heavily reinforced titanium chains. They offered a highly respectful, localized tactical gesture, signaling Happy to follow them.

Happy nodded enthusiastically. However, he wisely decided to remain entirely secured within the impenetrable, highly protective T.H.U.R.S.D.A.Y. armor. He aggressively engaged the drone's localized locomotion protocols, awkwardly, heavily following the silent, highly efficient Shadow Ninjas toward the exit.

As they navigated the subterranean corridors, the Shadow Ninjas executed a highly aggressive, flawless, completely silent assassination protocol. Every single localized Extremis guard they encountered was instantly, brutally decapitated before they could even react, completely preventing them from utilizing their highly advanced regenerative capabilities to survive.

However, as they rapidly approached the island's exterior perimeter, a highly observant, localized security patrol finally noticed a decapitated corpse.

A massive, highly urgent, blaring security alarm instantly violently echoed across the entire localized facility!

Hundreds of highly aggressive, heavily armed Extremis soldiers rapidly began converging on their location!

"Should we theoretically aggressively increase our localized transit speed?!" Happy asked nervously, frantically attempting to communicate with the silent Shadow Ninjas. He entirely forgot they lacked vocal capabilities.

The lead Shadow Ninja glanced back at the rapidly approaching swarm of hostile pursuit forces. He pointed a highly specific, localized tactical direction for Happy to run, explicitly signaling him to flee the engagement zone.

"Absolutely not! I completely, fundamentally refuse to cowardly abandon you guys to actively face a highly lethal, suicidal last stand!" Happy declared heroically, halting his retreat.

However, as Happy paused, his localized sensory array suddenly detected highly anomalous, incredibly suspicious movement within the dense jungle foliage surrounding them.

"Wait a minute... is this entire localized jungle currently..." Happy muttered, his eyes widening in profound suspicion as he realized the massive, sprawling shadows were not actively swaying in unison with the wind.

Suddenly, a highly secure, heavily encrypted localized comms channel opened within the T.H.U.R.S.D.A.Y. armor.

"Happy! Immediately execute a highly rapid, localized tactical retreat! Are you entirely unaware that these specific ninja entities are fundamentally, biologically immortal?!" Tony's highly urgent, highly exasperated voice echoed through the helmet.

"Tony?! Thank God! You actually showed up!" Happy cheered. "Wait... they're completely immortal?! Previously, even thirty heavily armed, highly aggressive mercenaries couldn't successfully terminate a single one of them! Of course I didn't know!"

"Stop aggressively rambling and move your ass! These specific entities possess a highly volatile, completely localized suicide-detonation protocol! You personally witnessed the massive, terrifying explosive yield during the previous localized engagement! If you don't immediately evacuate the primary blast radius, do you honestly believe your localized armor can withstand a massive, concentrated chain detonation?!"

Happy instantly recalled the terrifying, apocalyptic explosion at the Stark Expo. He glanced nervously at the thousands of glowing red eyes currently materializing from every single shadow in the jungle.

"Well then. I formally apologize for the localized interruption! I will immediately execute a highly rapid tactical withdrawal! Have a highly successful, explosive engagement!"

Happy instantly spun around, aggressively engaging T.H.U.R.S.D.A.Y.'s maximum localized sprint protocols!

Behind him, hundreds of highly aggressive, furious Extremis soldiers violently burst into the clearing. Their skin actively glowed with highly concentrated, terrifyingly volatile localized heat—the absolute, unmistakable signature of the Extremis virus.

Empowered by the virus, their baseline localized physical strength, stamina, and regenerative capabilities were massively, exponentially enhanced, allowing them to rapidly close the distance toward the fleeing Happy.

However, the absolute microsecond the final Extremis soldier aggressively stepped completely into the dense, heavily shadowed jungle...

The absolute, terrifying, highly explosive localized hunt officially commenced.
