Chapter 355: Building Prestige For the Elder Gods

  • Next Chapter

At the edge of the Multiverse, in a rift between time and space, the hiding place of the surviving Celestials welcomed two uninvited guests, one of whom was led by Logos.

Looking at the few remaining, barely surviving Celestials, Logos sneered, "Legend has it that the Celestials created life and death, and created the Multiverse before all things were born."

"But I am very curious, why have the Celestials fallen to their current state?"

"Do you wish to reclaim all that you have lost?"

The surviving Celestials remained silent, performing the same action. They raised their arms, aimed at Logos, accumulated energy, and fired.

Boom!!!

Terrifying energy surged forth, yet it could not touch Logos in the slightest.

Logos said coldly, "I am the judge of the Multiverse, and all rules within the Multiverse are under my control. I condemn the Celestials to death."

As his words fell, as if his pronouncements became law, the Celestials present, without any ability to resist, immediately exploded and died on the spot.

"Why didn't we save the Celestial? What the enemy wants to do, we should stop."

A dispute erupted among the other group of uninvited guests.

Galactus, who had transformed into his Lifebringer form, glared at the few people in front of him, leading his team.

Gaea lowered her head somewhat awkwardly.

Oshtur, Agamotto, and Hoggoth, the last survivor of an ancient mysterious race, remained expressionless.

Atum and Chthon merely sneered, disdainful.

"Shut up!" Lucas shouted, his eyes slightly closed, his sensory abilities fully activated, probing Logos's true nature.

On the barren land, Logos's three heads frowned in unison. He felt a strong sense of being spied upon.

Turning to look around, reality, various dimensions, Superflow, Neutral Zone, beyond reality.

Logos felt that he was getting closer and closer to discovering the one who was spying, just a step away. But this one step was something he could never cross.

Furthermore, as time passed, a strong sense of unease rose in Logos's heart, as if a catastrophe was about to strike.

"I am the law of the Multiverse, I am truth."

"Come out! Face me! Face the truth!"

"As you wish, Logos."

A golden portal, flickering with sparks, abruptly opened in this rift between time and space, and Lucas led the way out.

Following behind him were Chthon, the Vishanti, Atum, and Gaea.

"Vishanti, Chthon, is that you?" Logos's tense expression relaxed slightly.

The God of White Magic and the God of Black Magic were renowned throughout the Multiverse, but Logos did not believe they were a match for him now.

"And us!" A voice filled with anger rang out.

It was Galan, Galactus in his Lifebringer form. His helpers, whom he had sought out, followed closely behind him.

"Heh, even with you all, it's the same, defeated foes." Logos sneered.

He was about to mock them further, but found that Lifebringer, filled with rage, had already made a decisive move.

A golden energy beam spanned the void, crashing down and knocking over a Dark Celestial.

Seeing this, Chthon, Oshtur, Agamotto, and Hoggoth no longer posed, and also decisively made their moves.

Atum quietly held back Gaea, who wanted to rush forward, and pushed her back into the portal.

The battle was about to erupt, and the scene instantly became chaotic. Only Lucas and Logos remained motionless.

Then, Logos understood. "Oh, so my opponent is you."

Lucas slowly shook his head.

"Is there someone else?" Logos asked, frowning, remembering the sense of being spied upon earlier.

"I am not your opponent, I am merely here to crush you." Lucas said.

Logos's track record during this period was impressive. He had successively helped the Dark Celestials defeat the Celestials and the Beyonders, defeated Lifebringer, and reverted him to his Galactus form.

If analyzed solely from his achievements, this was an opponent even Lucas needed to treat with caution.

However, achievements can sometimes be deceptive. They are merely a result and do not reflect the essence.

Strong on the outside, hollow within.

This was the essence of Logos that Lucas perceived.

The embodiment of the Multiverse's new law, the ultimate form of Master Order, Lord Chaos, and the In-Betweener.

Beneath this seemingly magnificent exterior lay corruption and emptiness.

"Boastful!" Logos snorted coldly.

An invisible wave instantly crossed time, ignoring space, and attacked Lucas.

"The Celestials died by this move, didn't they? It's quite intimidating." Lucas chuckled, allowing the attack to land on him.

This invisible attack was silent when launched and equally silent when it dissipated.

No, it wasn't silent.

Like a strong wind, Lucas's upper garment was torn to shreds, revealing the hard, well-defined muscles beneath, as if carved from marble.

Looking at Lucas's unharmed upper body, Logos roared in a frenzy, "Impossible! Why is my law ineffective against you?!"

Lucas rolled his eyes. "Do you think I'd tell you the answer in battle? I'll only…"

Endless divine power surged forth, and instantly, a shimmering white substance covered this space, dyeing the world in one color, penetrating everywhere, above and below.

At the same time, a colossal finger, reaching the sky, formed above Logos's head.

The next moment, it descended.

"Sorcerer Lucas, bring Logos back! He is what I have been searching for! As long as I obtain him, I will find a way to create a perfect world!"

On a spaceship in the rear, 1610 Mister Fantastic shouted into the intercom.

Lucas, in the midst of battle, seemed to hear his voice, and the descending giant finger paused slightly.

But before 1610 Mister Fantastic could breathe a sigh of relief, it descended once more.

...

Deep within the dark red Superflow, a vast, hazy shadow coiled.

Within the shadow, the sky was round and the earth square. A boundless continent lay at the center, spreading out in all directions.

The land was desolate, with only scattered stone structures standing.

Shadow Dimension!

Originally a fragment of the second Multiverse, it was now the dwelling place of the surviving Elder Gods.

Before a nest-like structure woven from unknown material, starlight poured down, adding brilliance to this black and white world.

A slender, petite figure, hundreds of meters tall, emerged from the nest.

She looked down and smiled innocently. "Creator."

At the giant's feet, the Creator's ethereal voice resonated. "Neith, your two mothers are engaged in a war, and the enemies are the Dark Celestials. They need your help."

The tall figure was Neith, an Elder God, the Creator of the Web of Life and Destiny, and the daughter of Gaea and Oshtur.

Upon hearing the word "war," Neith's expression became serious, and she asked in a deep voice, "What should I do?"

The Creator calmly replied, "Use the Web of Life and Destiny to bring your brothers and sisters to participate in the battle."

"Alright."

Without further ado, Neith immediately activated the divine power within her, sending out threads of energy beams that carried messages to the other Elder Gods' residences within the Shadow Dimension.

Before long, over a thousand Elder Gods residing there arrived, ready for battle.

And as the number of people grew, so did the noise.

"Creator, I have a question." A deep voice rang out.

"With such a large-scale deployment, how will we conceal our tracks?"

"There's no need to conceal them anymore."

Starlight shot into the sky, and the Creator merged with the sky, so that all thousand-plus Elder Gods could see him, and he could see all thousand-plus Elder Gods.

These thousand-plus clear-minded, pure-energy Elder Gods were the result of the Creator's and Lucas's collaboration for nearly two years.

Although the number was slightly less than the Creator had anticipated due to Lucas's inconsistent efforts, it was still sufficient.

After all, this was merely a battle they were destined to win.

His gaze swept across them, and the Creator said in a deep voice, "From now on, there's no need to hide your tracks anymore. This war is your declaration of return to the Multiverse."

"Neith, open the teleportation channel. Gaea, Oshtur, and Chthon are waiting for you."

Chthon was there too? What about Set?

Upon hearing this, the hearts of the thousand-plus Elder Gods in the field were filled with doubt.

What kind of war was this, that three of the four leading figures among the Elder Gods were involved?

But seeing that the teleportation channel had already opened, and the Creator had no intention of explaining, the Elder Gods could only suppress their doubts for now.

"Sorcerer Lucas, hold on, drag it out a bit longer."

The Creator's voice suddenly echoed in his mind, and Lucas paused slightly, his descending silver finger halting for a moment.

Before Lucas could ask, the Creator's explanation came.

"I want the Elder Gods to replace the former Celestials as the administrators of the Multiverse, but they have been gone for too long and lack prestige."

"So you want them to come out and boost their reputation, using the demise of the Celestials, Beyonders, and Dark Celestials to establish the renown of the Elder Gods?" Lucas mused.

"Exactly."

The Creator gave an affirmative answer, and Lucas agreed.

As the savior of the Elder Gods, their ascension would be beneficial to Lucas with no drawbacks.

"No problem."
