Marvel: Odin Imprisoned Me with Hela
Chapter 150: Stark’s Dark History
Knock, knock.
Hearing footsteps outside, Orion Cross waved his hand, and the bedroom door instantly opened.
Psylocke stood at the doorway, her hair slightly disheveled.
"Did you win or lose?"
Orion Cross asked the same question.
"Won."
Psylocke answered expressionlessly before looking at Raven. "Where is my workplace and where will I be staying?"
"Give me a moment. I’ll take you there shortly."
After replying to Psylocke, Raven turned her attention to Orion Cross.
"Have you thought about how to arrange the other one?"
The other one naturally referred to Diana.
"As for her, let her get used to modern life first, then..."
Orion Cross stroked his chin and thought for a moment. He remembered that Diana’s original occupation seemed to involve the restoration and appraisal of antiques and cultural artifacts.
"Then we’ll see what she wants to do herself. She can either join the company or become something like a reporter."
"A reporter? Your ideas really are impossible to predict."
Raven scratched her head, feeling that she could not keep up with Orion Cross’s thinking.
"Are you planning to monopolize the company’s entire advertising and publicity operation?"
"Is that a bad thing?"
Orion Cross asked in return.
"Looks like I’ll have to consider whether the company should only hire female employees from now on."
Raven said it casually.
Orion Cross froze.
"Huh?"
"I’m joking. You’re not actually thinking of doing that, are you?"
Raven looked at Orion Cross in surprise.
"Tony Stark has never done something like that. How could I?"
Orion Cross immediately denied it.
Raven stood up and walked over to Psylocke.
"I’m taking her to the company. Keep this in mind: tomorrow, don’t be too enthusiastic with Zhao Hailun. Keep her hanging, maintain a little distance, act slightly aloof..."
"I don’t need you to teach me how to pick up women, okay? Just go!"
Orion Cross waved his hand helplessly.
The following day at noon, Skye fulfilled her duties as a driver and drove Orion Cross to a S.H.I.E.L.D. branch on the outskirts.
S.H.I.E.L.D. had once again become Orion Cross’s personal ride service. He borrowed a transport aircraft from them.
"The flight route has been approved. We can leave."
Inside the cockpit, Skye looked at the message she had received and spoke to Orion Cross.
"Five minutes. Not bad efficiency."
Orion Cross praised S.H.I.E.L.D.’s current efficiency, then looked suspiciously at Skye sitting in the pilot’s seat.
"But when did you learn how to fly a plane?"
"Didn’t I originally have an agent identity?"
Skye explained while curiously adjusting the equipment in the cockpit.
"My clearance and authority were the lowest, but I didn’t want to waste the opportunity. Before you helped me give up my agent status, I copied everything I could."
"Flying this thing isn’t particularly difficult. It’s almost entirely automated, so even though this is my first time, I can easily..."
"Wait. You said this is your first time flying?"
Orion Cross turned toward Skye and asked seriously.
"Yeah."
"I... Aren’t you scared?"
Orion Cross finally understood why female drivers had such a bad reputation.
She had merely learned how to fly from written descriptions and already dared to take the controls.
At this rate, next time she might be piloting a spaceship.
"There’s nothing to be afraid of. Aren’t you here? I might as well use this as a test flight."
Seeing Orion Cross’s expression, Skye burst out laughing.
She obviously was not reckless. If she had been alone, she probably would not have dared to do this.
But with Orion Cross present, the safety factor was essentially maxed out, so naturally she wanted to give it a try.
"By the way, there’s someone else coming with us today. Raven plans to recruit her into our company."
Orion Cross gave Skye a heads-up in advance.
"Is she a woman?"
"A woman."
The plane shook slightly.
Orion Cross immediately stopped the conversation.
Fortunately, Skye’s theoretical knowledge was proportional to her actual ability. The plane landed safely at the airport on the private island.
"I’ll make a call."
After getting off the plane, Orion Cross prepared to call Zhao Hailun.
However, the moment he picked up his phone, he noticed an Asian woman in a white lab coat standing not far away.
What?
"You came early?"
Orion Cross slipped his phone back into his pocket, walked over, and shook Zhao Hailun’s hand.
He asked in confusion, "Raven only sent you an invitation yesterday. We didn’t even discuss a specific location. How did you know to come here?"
"I know Tony Stark, and I know that you know him, so I gave him a call and asked."
Zhao Hailun smiled with her lips pressed together as she looked at Orion Cross.
"You know Tony Stark?"
Skye walked over to Orion Cross’s side and scrutinized Zhao Hailun.
In a certain sense, if a woman knew Tony Stark in the past, there was a ninety percent chance she had slept with him.
Unfortunately, Zhao Hailun happened to belong to the other ten percent.
"Of course I know him. He’s nothing but a jerk who relies on having some technology. My nanotechnology will eventually make his clumsy armor obsolete."
"He once came to my university as a guest lecturer. In one week, he slept with twenty female students from our school."
"Unfortunately, one of the girls accidentally let it slip. After that, everyone at our university knew that Mr. Stark was a man who believed in making every second count."
Zhao Hailun maintained her smile as she answered Skye’s question. Then she turned toward Orion Cross.
"What’s today’s schedule? Do we test first, or do we perform the Ascension Ceremony for this young lady first?"
"Test?"
Orion Cross was slightly stunned.
This was a private beach and vacation destination. Where would they get testing equipment?
"Stark didn’t tell you?"
Zhao Hailun took a small step to the side and pointed toward a building in the distance.
"He probably knows that his body isn’t what it used to be and that he can’t use this beach anymore, so he simply built several research laboratories on the island. I’ve already obtained permission to use them."
"However..."
Zhao Hailun hesitated.
"If we conduct the tests there, there’s a good chance Stark could intercept the data."
"I’m a hacker. I can block him."
Skye stepped forward.
"Then I don’t have to worry."
Zhao Hailun breathed a sigh of relief.
"Although Iron Man has a good reputation among New York citizens now, who knows whether he has some other purpose behind becoming a superhero?"
For a moment, Orion Cross did not know what to say.
He had a feeling that Miss Zhao Hailun’s tongue was rather sharp.
But when he thought about what she had experienced in the past, namely Tony Stark, the human jackhammer, sleeping with twenty of her classmates in a single week, Orion Cross felt that perhaps her sharp tongue was perfectly understandable.
