High above in the sky, the real battle was unfolding.

Mavuika and Thanos.

They hovered thousands of meters in the air, the surrounding clouds shredded, ignited, and vaporized by their power.

Golden-red flames and purple Cosmic Energy collided in the sky; every clash was like two stars crashing into each other, bursting with light that illuminated the entire sky.

Mages on the ground looked up, seeing the two figures weaving through the clouds like two giant dragons fighting in the sky.

Thanos’s sword slashed toward Mavuika; that massive double-edged greatsword carried the purple glow of the Power Stone, its speed and power enough to split a mountain.

Mavuika dodged to the side and swung Thousand Blazing Suns horizontally, flames condensing on the blade into a golden arc of light, slashing toward Thanos’s chest.

Thanos raised his left hand, the gems on the Infinity Gauntlet lighting up as the Space Stone deployed a blue barrier in front of him.

The arc of flame struck the barrier, exploding into a sky full of dancing sparks, but it did not penetrate.

He waved his hand, and the blue light of the Space Stone began to Swirl.

Mavuika felt the space around her begin to twist—not folding, not bending, but being crushed like a crumpled piece of paper.

In that instant, she felt immense pressure, her body restricted by an invisible force, unable to move.

Thanos’s greatsword slashed down.

Mavuika gritted her teeth, three forces within her body erupting simultaneously, forcibly prying open a gap in the oppressive space.

She passed through that gap, Thousand Blazing Suns slashing toward the top of Thanos’s head.

Thanos’s eyes shifted slightly; he had not expected Mavuika to be able to break free from the Space Stone’s restriction.

He raised his greatsword to block; flames and Cosmic Energy collided, erupting into a ring-shaped Impact that pushed them both away.

Mavuika flipped in the air several times to steady herself, while Thanos also retreated a few steps, his feet carving two long trails of light in the air.

She charged up again.

This time, her speed was faster, and her flames were brighter.

Thousand Blazing Suns transformed into a golden pillar of light in her hands, slashing continuously at Thanos.

Thanos blocked with his greatsword, defended with the Space Stone’s barrier, and countered with the power of the Power Stone.

The two continuously collided, separated, and collided again high in the sky; every collision caused the sky to burst with light, making the mages on the ground feel waves of vibration.

But Mavuika could feel that she was being suppressed.

Thanos’s Infinity Gauntlet had four gems, each containing the power of the laws of the Universe.

The Power Stone made every one of his blows as heavy as Mount Tai, the Space Stone allowed him to twist space at will, the Soul Stone allowed him to perceive the intent behind her every move, and the Mind Stone allowed him to influence Mavuika’s consciousness.

Although Fire could restrain darkness and the Ode of Resurrection was supporting her, she remained at a disadvantage when facing the combined suppression of the four gems.

Thanos’s greatsword slashed down again, this time with the dual enhancement of the Power Stone and the Reality Stone.

Mavuika raised her sword to block, Thousand Blazing Suns emitting a blinding light; she was pressed down dozens of meters by that immense force, even the clouds beneath her feet scattered by the Impact.

Her figure turned into a golden-red bolt of lightning, charging up again.

This time she did not detour, but went straight for Thanos’s front—Thousand Blazing Suns slashed toward his chest with the momentum of a thunderbolt.

Thanos raised his greatsword to block, the light of the Power Stone shining on the blade, making his block as heavy as Mount Tai.

The moment the two swords collided, a ring-shaped Impact spread outward, shattering the roofs of several buildings below.

But this time, Mavuika was not knocked away.

Her flames burst open at the moment of contact, dozens of tongues of fire splitting from the blade of Thousand Blazing Suns, winding around Thanos’s greatsword like living snakes to entwine his arms and body.

That was the adaptation she made in a short time, no longer clashing head-on with the Power Stone, but using the flexibility of Fire to attack the blind spots that power could not cover.

Thanos’s pupils constricted slightly; he didn’t have time to retract his sword to block and could only dodge to the side, but those tongues of fire still entangled his left arm.

Golden-red flames burned on his armor, making a sizzling sound, the golden coating on the surface of the armor beginning to bubble and deform under the high heat.

Thanos hadn’t expected Mavuika to use such a delicate tactical change while clashing head-on; he gripped his left hand fiercely in front of him.

The Space Stone shone with blue light, and a spatial rift exploded between his arm and the flames, tearing those tongues of fire to shreds and swallowing them; the moment the rift closed, the remaining flames were completely extinguished.

A scorched mark was left on the armor of his left arm.

Mavuika charged again, this time her attacks even denser and faster, the flames leaving golden trajectories in the air.

Thousand Blazing Suns carved a semicircle in the air, slashing toward Thanos’s knees; Thanos side-stepped to dodge, his greatsword following through to slash at her waist.

Mavuika flipped in the air, flames erupting from her palms to push her backward, and in that same instant, the tip of her sword stabbed toward Thanos’s eyes.

The two exchanged dozens of moves rapidly high in the air, the sound of sword clashing against sword as dense as thunder, flames and purple energy light constantly bursting, shredding all the surrounding clouds.

Thanos’s greatsword slashed again, this time with the dual enhancement of the Power Stone and the Space Stone; wherever the blade passed, space itself twisted and trembled.

Mavuika felt the power of that sword strike; she pressed her palms together, Thousand Blazing Suns condensing into a ball of golden flame in her hands, and then she pushed the sword with both palms, condensing that ball of flame into a focused point, precisely striking the side of Thanos’s greatsword.

It was not a head-on confrontation, but a redirection, using minimal force to deflect a massive weight.

The power of Thousand Blazing Suns was concentrated on that point, guiding the weight and power of Thanos’s greatsword to one side.

The greatsword slashed past Mavuika’s body, the resulting airflow tearing her outer garment, but it did not injure her flesh.

Thanos frowned slightly, retracted his sword and retreated, the Mind Stone on his left hand lighting up.

The golden light was like invisible tentacles, sweeping toward the depths of Mavuika’s consciousness.

Mavuika felt an intrusion, not as violent as the previous attack, but a subtle probing attempting to find weaknesses in her consciousness.

She could feel Thanos using the Mind Stone to probe her thoughts, her past, and her fears, like a hand flipping through an open book.

Mavuika locked her mind, her will firm and unswayed by any external influence; that golden probing light was scorched and repelled by flames, completely unable to break through the defenses deep within her soul.

Thanos’s expression changed slightly; although he was not in direct contact with her heart, which prevented him from maximizing the Mind Stone’s ability.

However, having his offensive so easily neutralized by Mavuika still surprised Thanos.

Regardless, these were the Infinity Stones; how could they be so easily resisted?
