[Smith Shelter, underground meeting room]

Since Ethan and the others left, and after watching them train there for so long, Adrian had taken it upon himself to renovate the room.

Now, a larger circular table, capable of seating over sixty people, replaced the smaller long table.

And right now, with Christian to the left of him and Elena to the right, fifty-three out of the sixty seats had been filled, with Alfred standing behind Christian and Adrian taking up the fifty-third seat.

"Haha, good job, Adrian! It seems that head of yours is working more than before."

"In fact, this old man was wondering if we were all going to sit cross-legged like during training for this meeting."

"Good job!"

Taking a glance at his tea, Christian looked at the table in front of him and then at his son with an appreciative look in his eyes.

It seemed that ever since this apocalypse started, his children, who had only been obsessed with benefits and power, had started working together.

Perhaps it was because the order of the world had collapsed, or that they knew the true power of the Smiths would be concentrated in their nephew.

However, the amount of petty squabbles and schemes between one another had drastically reduced, a sight Christian was always welcome to see.

’George, are you watching from wherever you are?’

’Although I do not regret killing you, even though you were my brother, I wonder, if you could see things like this, would you still be obsessed?’

He thought, remembering the purge he had carried out not long after the sky turned red.

A move that he had to do to ensure the family had zero troubles going forward, a move which he had no regrets about.

"Thank you, Grandpa. I only did what I had to."

"With you and my nephew over here, along with the others, going out to protect the base..."

"A small thing like this is the least I could do."

Scratching the back of his head, Adrian couldn’t help but blush as he felt the gaze of everyone at the table around him.

Slap!

"Haha! Kid, what are you behaving so shy for? Be a man like your grandpa!"

"Though be careful when you emulate that old fellow; after all, there are still some kinds of things he’s not good at."

"Such as races and bets! Haha!"

Slapping Adrian on the back, Lauren laughed, causing the other veterans to snicker too.

Yes, although he had tried his best to catch up to everyone, unfortunately, when it came to Air Walk, their strengths weren’t too different, causing him to be unable to do so.

As a result, he not only lost the bet, but he now had to be in charge of guard duty for the shelter for a month.

"Damn, you bastards! If only you hadn’t cheated and started early, I would have won the race!"

Grumbling slightly, he took a sip from his teacup, drinking another round of tea as he ignored everyone.

A scene that caused Alfred, who was standing behind him, to smile as he reached over to give him a refill.

For a while, the room was noisy as the veterans talked and bragged about their expedition just now, causing Adrian and Elena, who hadn’t been there, to widen their eyes from time to time.

Especially Elena, when she heard how strong Lucian was, and how he even defeated Kenjiro, who was a 2nd-Circle mage, with ease, she wondered how she would fare against such an opponent.

Perhaps indeed she would lose, but with her Undying Flame and hyper-speed regeneration, she would be able to at least last a while.

Listening to the descriptions of the fights, unknowingly she began to run simulations in her mind, trying to see if she would win or lose.

And as such, more discussion continued, and after about five minutes or so, Ethan finally spoke up.

Ahem!

"Alright then. I believe everyone has finally calmed down and let everything they needed out of their system."

"If so, then let us continue with the next order of business." He paused.

"As you know, from this battle, we achieved a huge harvest."

"Not only did we acquire a large amount of monster materials and cores, but the Magic Web is also a huge benefit."

"With it, whenever the cell towers do stop working or we run out of battery for the walkie-talkies, we can still achieve seamless communication."

"Although right now it’s only for mages, that just pushes us to help create more mages in the shelter."

Speaking of this, Ethan began to draw up his plans for the future.

"As such, as of right now, after this I’ll begin to focus my training on the Awakeners trying to become mages."

"The faster they can reach the 1st Circle, the better."

"Adrian, at the same time, lead a group of people and pick-up trucks, along with a few veterans."

"There’s a place we buried the monster corpses; go pick them up and prepare them for processing."

"Let’s see what kind of materials and weapons we can make from them."

"After all, things like mana blades consume a large amount of mana, and gun bullets aren’t infinite."

"It would be more cost-effective to wrap weapons made from these monsters with mana."

Remembering his last life where Awakeners wielded all kinds of monster weapons, he knew that it wouldn’t be as simple as just wrapping them in mana.

Back then, some weapons, when crafted, even retained some of the abilities of the monsters their bodies were from, becoming all kinds of poison swords, flame lances, and so on.

Right now, although he didn’t know how to achieve such a thing, he might as well begin trying.

So hearing this order, everyone nodded, as even though they were strong now, they all knew it was not enough.

If Ethan hadn’t been there, then they might not have been able to take down Lucian, and everyone here would have long since been dead.

In that case, to avoid such situations, they each vowed to practice and become stronger.

Seeing this, Ethan nodded.

"Alright then. And lastly, everyone take out your beast cores and place them on the table."

"For my next plans, these cores are going to be a vital part of our going forward, both in combat power and economically as a shelter!"

Placing the second core he extracted on the table, Ethan began to explain.
