Asher looked around him for a moment and then slashed with the sword a few times, getting used to its length and weight, since it had been a long time since he had used a real sword.

He was simply trying to get familiar with it before the fight began.

Soon, the timer ran out.

Five minutes had passed.

Asher looked at the virtual map in front of him. There were a total of 25 special areas marked across the entire map.

In the first round, a total of five students would be eliminated.

After looking at the map for a moment, Asher started moving toward the closest area to him, which was only 1 KM away.

Another timer also started at the same time.

It was a 30-minute timer.

Within this amount of time, the students had to reach their assigned area and defeat the other students present there. If they couldn’t defeat the other student in the area before the timer ran out, they would also be eliminated.

Asher slowly moved toward the area without any worry on his face.

He didn’t seem to be in any hurry.

Asher had only walked around 200 meters when he suddenly heard the sound of something approaching him from his left.

Asher immediately looked toward his left.

And there stood a large wolf about 10 meters away from him.

The wolf was around 1.2 meters tall and was a Gold 2-rank beast.

Since this was a virtual world, the beast didn’t have its own consciousness. It was completely controlled by the artificial intelligence of the simulation.

Asher looked at the wolf and simply stayed still, waiting for it to attack him.

The wolf also stared at Asher for a moment.

Then, without any hesitation, it suddenly lunged toward him.

Asher calmly looked at the approaching wolf and raised his free hand toward it.

A mana bullet instantly formed in front of his hand and shot straight toward the wolf’s face.

The beast noticed the magic bullet coming toward it and quickly moved to the side to dodge it.

The mana bullet passed right beside its head.

Asher then started moving toward the area again. After only a few hundred meters, Asher encountered another beast while continuing toward the special area without slowing down or stopping at all.

The beast was a Silver 7-rank snake. It was 2.1 meters in length and was as thick as an adult man’s leg, making it a large snake for this area.

When it noticed Asher, it immediately attacked him. The snake quickly moved toward him with its large mouth wide open, revealing its sharp fangs as it prepared to bite him.

However, Asher didn’t even move from his position. He simply stood there and waited for the snake to reach him, remaining completely still as it rapidly approached him at all.

Just when the snake’s large mouth was directly in front of him, ready to shallow him whole.

However, while the wolf was moving to the side, Asher had already moved forward.

In the next instant, he appeared directly in front of the wolf, with his sword already swinging toward its eyes.

The wolf noticed the danger and immediately moved to side to dodge the incoming sword.

Asher noticed the beast moving toward the side and instantly changed his sword’s trajectory. His wrist twisted, changing the blade’s direction during the swing and catching the wolf by surprise.

The sword slashed across the wolf’s right side, cutting through its fur and leaving a shallow wound. A small amount of blood immediately flowed from the injury onto ground nearby.

The wound was too shallow to deal any real damage, but the wolf quickly landed and pushed itself backward with its legs, creating several meters of distance from Asher.

Asher didn’t chase after it. He simply lowered his sword slightly and remained where he was, while the wolf stopped several meters away and turned toward him again.

The wolf lowered its body, pressing its paws against the ground. Its ears pointed forward, and its eyes remained fixed on Asher while blood continued dripping from its wounded side.

Asher looked at the wolf and then said in a surprised tone, "It is just like a real wolf. They really programmed it well."

After saying this, Asher slowly moved toward the wolf, taking one step after another while keeping his sword firmly in his hand and his body facing forward steadily.

The wolf watched his movements carefully. As Asher approached, it suddenly pushed against the ground with its hind legs and lunged forward, quickly closing the distance between them.

The wolf jumped into the air and raised both front legs, extending its sharp claws toward Asher. Asher immediately bent down, allowing the claws to pass above him.

While dodging, Asher thrust his sword directly into the wolf’s stomach. The blade pierced through its body before Asher immediately pulled it back out and moved aside.

The wolf fell past him and landed heavily on the ground. Blood flowed from the wound as it quickly pushed itself up and tried moving away again.

Its movements were slower than before, but it still managed to take several steps. Asher immediately followed, taking quick steps and closing the remaining distance between them.

The wolf suddenly turned its head and opened its mouth, but Asher stepped forward before it could react and drove his sword straight into its right eye.

The blade pierced through its head and reached its brain. The wolf’s body immediately stopped moving, its legs went limp, and it collapsed onto the ground.

Asher remained standing beside it for a moment before gripping the sword firmly and pulling it out from the wolf’s eye socket with a steady movement.

The moment the sword came free, the wolf’s entire body suddenly began disappearing. Its body faded from the ground, and the blood covering its fur vanished completely too.

The blood on Asher’s sword also disappeared, leaving the blade completely clean. Asher lowered the sword, turned away from the empty spot, and continued walking forward.
