explained that their store still supplied the Battle Maiden Sect because she refused to participate in the pressure campaign.

"They pay on time," she said simply. "And they do not bully smaller merchants. Why would I stop dealing with them?"

Tang Yuer leaned against the counter.

"Because several large sects threatened us."

Bai Ruxue looked annoyed.

"Threatened is a strong word."

Tang Yuer smiled. "They politely explained what would happen if we continued."

Su Yubing laughed.

Mo Yuxin looked at Bai Ruxue.

"Are you worried?"

Bai Ruxue considered it.

"Yes."

That honest answer surprised Ji Ruyan.

Bai Ruxue continued, "I am not stupid. I know we are small. But fear is not a business plan."

Tang Yuer reached over and fixed the collar of Bai Ruxue’s robe.

"She says things like that when she is scared."

Bai Ruxue looked at her.

"I am still right."

"You are."

Su Yubing smiled.

Mo Yuxin quietly whispered to her, "They are cute."

Su Yubing nodded.

"Yes."

Mo Yuxin looked at Bai Ruxue and Tang Yuer again.

"They remind me of us."

Su Yubing raised an eyebrow.

"You mean because you also ignore danger?"

Mo Yuxin looked offended.

"No. Because you complain and I still do what I want."

Su Yubing stared at her.

"That is exactly what I meant."

Tang Yuer overheard them and laughed.

Bai Ruxue quietly asked, "Are all married cultivators this strange?"

Ning Shuyue answered from behind them.

"Apparently."

The mood in the shop became warm.

Then a loud crash came from the back room.

Bai Ruxue’s expression changed.

Tang Yuer immediately moved.

Mo Yuxin was faster.

She disappeared from the doorway and reappeared in the storage room.

Three masked cultivators were standing among broken shelves.

One held a fire talisman.

Another had already lit it.

The third was carrying a sack of spirit materials.

They had expected the shop to be empty.

Instead, they found Mo Yuxin waiting for them.

The first attacker reacted quickly and threw the fire talisman.

Mo Yuxin caught it.

The talisman continued burning between her fingers without harming her.

She looked at it.

Then at them.

"Really?"

The attacker froze.

Mo Yuxin pinched the flame out.

The fire disappeared.

The other two attacked at the same time.

One used a blade.

The other used a chain weapon.

Mo Yuxin stepped once.

The blade stopped against her palm.

The chain froze in the air.

The two attackers were thrown backward without Mo Yuxin visibly exerting any force.

They crashed into the wall.

Bai Ruxue and Tang Yuer stood in the doorway.

Bai Ruxue looked shocked.

Tang Yuer looked impressed.

"I like your wife," she said to Su Yubing.

Su Yubing smiled. "I do too."

Mo Yuxin immediately looked happy.

The attackers tried to escape through the rear window.

Ning Shuyue blocked it with her sword.

Ji Ruyan blocked the door.

Su Lian sealed the room with a formation.

The three masked cultivators were trapped.

Bai Ruxue walked over and looked at the broken shelves.

Her face turned dark.

"These are going to cost money."

Tang Yuer immediately put an arm around her.

"We can fix them."

"They destroyed three cabinets."

"We can rebuild them."

"The wood is expensive."

"I love you too."

Bai Ruxue looked at her.

Then she sighed.

"Fine."

Su Yubing laughed.

The attackers were questioned.

They refused to speak.

Mo Yuxin did not torture them.

She simply looked at the youngest one.

"You are afraid of whoever hired you."

The man said nothing.

"More afraid than you are of us."

Still silence.

Mo Yuxin crouched in front of him.

Her tone remained calm.

"I do not want the name of your employer."

The man looked confused.

"I want to know where the next shipment is going."

That question hit differently.

The attacker hesitated.

Su Yubing watched him carefully.

Finally, he whispered, "North warehouse district."

"When?"

"Tomorrow night."

"What shipment?"

"Spirit weapons."

Mo Yuxin looked toward Bai Ruxue.

"For the Battle Maiden Sect?"

The attacker shook his head.

"No."

"Then who?"

"Golden Mountain Sect."

Everyone became silent.

That was unexpected.

The attackers had been sabotaging an independent merchant store that still supplied Battle Maiden Sect, yet their next target was a shipment headed toward one of the sects currently opposing them.

Su Yubing immediately understood.

"They want a second incident."

Mo Yuxin nodded.

"And this time they want to make it look like the Battle Maiden Sect did it."

The attacker looked frightened.

He had said too much.

Mo Yuxin stood.

"Thank you."

The man’s face went pale.

"What?"

"You saved us a lot of time."

She looked at Su Yubing.

"We should go."

Su Yubing nodded.

Bai Ruxue stared at them.

"You are going to stop that shipment?"

Mo Yuxin shook her head.

"We are going to watch it."

Tang Yuer smiled.

"I think that means she is going to stop it."

Mo Yuxin did not argue.

That night, Bai Ruxue and Tang Yuer sat with them over tea.

The merchant couple told them more about the city’s trade system.

Certain major sects controlled large portions of mining, shipping, medicine, and weapons.

Independent merchants survived by staying neutral.

The Battle Maiden Sect had always paid fairly but had never built the same merchant network as the male-dominated sects.

That had made them vulnerable.

Bai Ruxue explained that several stores had already stopped dealing with them because their suppliers had received pressure from larger organizations.

Su Yubing asked, "Why do you two continue?"

Tang Yuer answered before Bai Ruxue could.

"Because she is stubborn."

Bai Ruxue glared.

Tang Yuer smiled.

"And because I married her."

Bai Ruxue’s expression softened.

"That is not an answer."

"It is for me."

Mo Yuxin looked at Su Yubing.

Su Yubing whispered, "Stop staring."

"I like watching happy couples."

"You are watching because they remind you of us."

"Yes."

Su Yubing sighed and leaned closer.

"Then keep watching."

The next day, Mo Yuxin and Su Yubing went to the northern warehouse district.

They did not bring a large group.
