Chapter 1338: Vault

"Congratulations, Null Anthony. You may proceed forward," the voice stated as the dark light cloaking him vanished.

At those words, the other participants who were going through their own puzzles received a notification that someone by the name of Null Anthony had passed the riddle challenge. Hence, they would be sent to different domains until Null Anthony was done claiming his reward.

The notification that someone had already passed left them speechless and stunned. There was no time limit to answer any of the five riddles, so they had taken their time thinking so as not to get any riddle wrong, because if they failed one, they would be instantly disqualified.

As the dark light enveloping Anthony vanished, he felt as though he could finally move once more. But he didn’t move immediately. The last riddle about memories had him feeling a bit out of place, after all, all, all he possessed of his past life were his memories.

’Maybe the Milky Way Galaxy and Earth are positioned in another Universe entirely,’ he thought with a sigh as he remembered The Decipherer Of The Heavens telling him he had found nothing when he searched for Earth and the Milky Way.

"You may proceed, Null Anthony," the voice came again.

The voice snapped Anthony out of his thoughts. He gazed ahead, but all he saw was darkness and a swirling portal of water. He sighed and took a step forward as he headed towards the portal. Stepping through the water portal, it snapped shut and vanished.

Anthony appeared in what appeared to be a vault. Before him lay mountains of billions of items. Origin Essence Stones were scattered in an almost uncountable number, artefacts ranging from Saint Grade to an unknown Grade that was even higher than the Genesis Grade.

Various plants that alchemists would kill and betray the Universal Cauldron Pavilion for were scattered in heaps, some sealed in various boxes that preserved them, but Anthony’s eyes saw through the boxes as he possessed X-ray vision. Ores that artefacters would kill for lay here in abundance.

Anthony took a step forward. For the first time since his reincarnation, he was dazzled and amazed by someone’s wealth. He had always been rich; he had even been signing in at the system for the past ten years. His own wealth and knowledge were almost unscalable, but seeing someone else’s treasure trove left him genuinely amazed.

Anthony’s sky-blue eyes shifted to another direction. He walked towards it, and there, he could see various books scattered across the ground in heaps as though they were nothing, but these were books that detailed paths to the Embodiment Stage of various Laws.

Law Of Truth, Law Of Lies, Law Of Evasion, Law Of Charm, Law Of Sex, Law Of Stamina, Law Of Water, Law Of Echo.

Name it, and it was all here, scattered on the ground as mere pebbles.

His eyes shifted to another direction, and there, orbs of various colors could be seen. Anthony walked towards them, his All Seeing Eyes peeking through their information. These orbs were Law Lands that had been compressed into mere orbs. If anyone crushed one of them, the Law Land would instantly appear.

’Are Eternal Apexes truly this rich?’ Anthony thought to himself as he gazed around.

He couldn’t help but doubt it. The Eternal Apex, Nature’s Savant, whom he had fought didn’t seem that rich. Just a single life-saving artefact that he had destroyed had made the man extremely furious, despite the man being from the Vanishing Reapers Organization, where they possessed immense wealth.

’I could have gotten my answer if I had looked through Nature’s Savant’s space ring,’ he thought to himself.

But he hadn’t, simply because he didn’t usually bother robbing the corpses of his dead opponents, because he always believed he was richer than them. Even the six geniuses he had killed, he didn’t bother checking what treasures they had gotten from other domains.

’All rewards scattered across all domains are nothing but scraps compared to the real endgame reward,’ Anthony thought to himself. ’No wonder these Organizations, Sects, Families, and Pavilions spanning the entire Sathor Grand Region came here. Even the Ancient Behemoth Organizations won’t glance over such treasure, as even The Lover Of Death seems richer than them,’ he thought to himself as he turned around.

Anthony shook his head. He couldn’t help but wonder why people like Nature’s Savant didn’t just try usurping the final rewards for himself. But as he had that thought, an answer came right after.

Eternal Apexes of the past must have definitely done that. After all, why should they follow the rules and regulations of a dead Eternal Apex? But those who broke those rules and tried to steal the rewards must have suffered various backlashes from the mechanisms the dead Eternal Apex left in place.

’Which is probably why Nature’s Savant didn’t do anything else but just try to kill me,’ Anthony concluded as he looked around.

’But an unknown Grade artefact...’ Anthony thought to himself as he vanished from where he stood and appeared before the artefact, then picked it up.

It was a golden whip. Clearly, it was on the same grade as the items Chu Feng got from the merchant he bought the manual and sword from. Anthony could only guess that the man had died at the Unknown Regions, which showed how dangerous the place was.

’But did he truly die?’ Anthony thought to himself.

He didn’t know why, but he felt that this Lover Of Death guy seemed to be faking his death or something. After all, how could such a man just die like that? There were many life-saving artefacts here that could save tens of Eternal Apexes during a life-or-death fight, each of them more powerful than the necklace that Nature’s Savant had around his neck.

Anthony sighed and shook his head. Whether The Lover Of Death was alive or dead had nothing to do with him. All he had to do was take all these rewards and get them back to the sect.

’With this amount of resources, it should be enough to become the Sect Master, right?’ he joked to himself.

He didn’t care for the Sect Master position, nor any position in particular.

His eyes shifted to the side. He turned and walked towards that direction. And there, Anthony could see a Law Fruit, the same treasure he had seen at the Divine Realm that gave one one hundred percent comprehension of any Law.

But this Law Fruit was different. According to the Authority Of Information, this Law Fruit was the Death Apple. Eating it would kill the person who ate it, but they would be resurrected and reborn with the ability to wield forty percent of the Law Of Death and possess ten percent of other Laws connected to Death itself.

Beside the Death Apple were tiny crystals that shimmered with black radiance and gave off a feeling of warmth. But Anthony knew that by crushing these crystals, the one who ate the Death Apple could increase their comprehension of the Law Of Death gained from the Death Apple to varying degrees, depending on their own personal luck.

And if one didn’t eat the Death Apple but crushed the crystals, they would gain nothing. The crystal and the Death Apple came together as a set of some sort.
