Liam closed the study door behind him and stood in the quiet for a moment.

The villa was stable. Vanessa had come downstairs an hour earlier careful in her movements, quieter than usual, the residual marks of the night still visible if anyone knew where to look.

Renee had handed her coffee without comment. Jessica had given her a long, assessing look and then simply nodded.

Cole had watched from the far end of the hall and said nothing. The house had adjusted around the newest claim the same way it always did.

without drama, without fracture.Three women locked in inside the villa.

Renee.

Jessica.

Vanessa.

And one more who was close enough to bring across the line.

Veronica.

Liam crossed to the desk and opened the System interface with a thought. The familiar overlay settled across his vision, clean and precise.

He scrolled past the standard status readouts until he reached the function that had been sitting quietly at the edge of his awareness for weeks.

[Multi Claim]

[Status: Ready]

[Current Bound: 3]

[Recommended Threshold: 3+]

[Synchronization Window: Available]

He studied the readout without rushing.

Dual Claim had been straightforward two women, one sustained session, clean binding.

Multi Claim was different. Larger. More demanding. The System required proximity, consent under pressure, and a stable enough emotional structure that the claim wouldn’t fracture mid-process.

The rewards scaled with the number of participants. So did the risk. A failed Multi Claim didn’t just waste the window.

It could destabilize existing bonds, introduce resistance where there had been none, and force him to rebuild trust that had taken weeks to establish.

He closed the interface and looked out the window. Renee was the foundation. She had been first, and she remained the most stable.

No jealousy. No resistance. She understood the shape of the house better than anyone else and had already accepted her place inside it.

When the others wavered, Renee held the center. That made her essential not just as a participant, but as the anchor that would keep the others from fracturing under the intensity of a shared claim.

Jessica had fought longer, but once she broke, she broke cleanly. The residual softness in her was real. She no longer isolated herself from the others.

She had spoken plainly in front of them. She had stopped pretending the structure of the house was something she could ignore.

That honesty would make her easier to hold inside a larger claim. She would not disrupt the process out of pride or leftover resistance.

Vanessa was the newest. Still marked. Still adjusting. The careful way she had moved downstairs that morning said her body was still remembering the night in detail.

But she had stopped pretending she didn’t want it, and that honesty would make her easier to hold.

The version of her that had stood near the tree line days earlier posture tight, eyes carefully averted was already fading. What remained was softer. More open. Ready enough.

Veronica was the variable.

She had not been claimed yet. She had listened to the other women talk. She had hesitated in doorways.

She had watched the house change around her without fully stepping into the current. Her control had cracks in it, but cracks were not the same as readiness.

Still, she was softer than Cole. More affected than she admitted. If she was going to be brought in, it needed to happen before the Multi Claim or during it.

Leaving her outside while the others were bound together would only widen the distance.

Liam rested his hands on the edge of the desk and considered the timing.

The external board was quiet enough. Charles was handled. Derek was gone. Stone Cold had taken what he wanted and left.

The anonymous request for the routing schedules had gone silent after Sandra buried it.

The unknown watcher was still out there patient, distant, professional enough to test edges without overcommitting.

Not pressing hard enough to demand his full attention. That window of external stillness would not last forever. It was better to move while it held.

The house was aligned.

The women were no longer isolated from each other. They had begun to speak, to adjust, to occupy the same space without tearing it apart.

That mattered more than the System’s numerical thresholds. Multi Claim required more than individual surrender. It required a structure stable enough to hold several claims at once without fracturing under the weight.

The conversations in the lounge, the quiet acceptances in the kitchen, the way Jessica had stopped avoiding Vanessa, the way Renee had simply made space all of it was infrastructure. Invisible. Essential.

Soon. Not today. But the window was open.

Liam pulled up the villa’s internal schedule on the side monitor. Rotations. Off-duty windows. Overnight coverage.

He studied the next three days with the same precision he applied to everything else. There was a stretch two nights from now where Renee, Jessica, and Vanessa would all be off rotation at the same time.

Cole would be on perimeter. Jack would be in the far training yard, as usual.Veronica was scheduled for east wing coverage that night.

That could be adjusted.

He could move her off rotation under a clean administrative reason.

Or he could leave her on and bring her in deliberately once the others were already present. Both options had advantages. Pulling her off rotation reduced variables.

Leaving her on and calling her in mid-process would test whether she was ready to step across the line under pressure.

He preferred the second option. Pressure revealed truth faster than comfort. A soft knock came at the door.

"Come in."

Renee stepped inside, closing the door behind her. She didn’t sit. She simply stood near the desk, arms loosely folded, expression calm.

She had always been able to read the temperature of a room without needing it explained."You’re planning something," she said.

It wasn’t a question.Liam looked at her. "Yes."

"The others?"

"Renee. Jessica. Vanessa." He paused. "And Veronica."

Renee’s eyes narrowed slightly not in resistance, but in assessment. "She’s not claimed yet."

"No."

"And you’re bringing her in anyway."

"Yes."

Renee was quiet for a moment. Then she nodded once, as if she had already run the same calculation.

"Vanessa is still adjusting. Jessica is steadier than she looks. I’ve already accepted my place." She paused. "Veronica will hesitate. Don’t give her room to retreat once it starts."

"I won’t."

Something almost like approval moved through her expression. She turned to leave, then stopped at the door.

"Cole is watching more carefully than she admits," Renee said. "Whatever you do next will set the tone for her as well."

"I know."

Renee left.Liam stood alone in the study again, the quiet settling back around him. Outside, the courtyard was empty.

Jack’s staff was leaning against the far wall where he had left it. The tree line was still. The house felt steady in a way it hadn’t in weeks.

He opened the System interface one more time and looked at the Multi Claim readout.
