“Alright, focus. Can’t sit here giggling all day. Gotta finish the job first.” Vane slapped his own cheeks to snap himself out of it, shaking his head at his own distraction.

His ADHD was really acting up today; his mind kept wandering to the most random side projects whenever he was supposed to be working. Even if he wanted to launch the Desire Grand Prix, he still had to finish speedrunning the Warhammer 40k universe and get his ass back to the Minecraft universe first.

Refocusing, Vane locked his eyes back onto the glowing terminal in front of him and started combing through the system architecture.

“Just as I thought. They stripped out almost the entire emotional spectrum, leaving behind practically nothing but pure joy and battle-lust. I just need to tweak a few sliders. No need to rewrite their entire source code.”

“The quest objective only told me to neutralize the Ork threat to other civilizations. Technically speaking, as long as the Greenskins stop actively declaring war on everybody, the System should register the quest as cleared.”

Vane didn’t bother tweaking their base stats or tech trees. Instead, he simply took the Greenskins’ core drive—their obsession with waging war for fun—and swapped it out for an obsession with farming. Just like that, the endless, bloody WAAAGH! crusades were instantly rebranded into WAAAGH! agricultural drives. These maniacal Greenskins would now dedicate every ounce of their manic energy to terraforming every single rock in the galaxy into a lush, life-sustaining garden planet.

[Confirm configuration changes?]

Right after Vane dialed in the new parameters and hit save, a prompt popped out of thin air, waiting for his final sign-off.

“Confirm.” Vane didn’t hesitate for a second and smashed the accept button.

A progress bar immediately popped up on the console, racing from zero to a hundred percent before another notification chimed.

[Old configurations overwritten. All newly spawned Greenskins will execute the updated directives.]

Right on cue, the System’s quest module flashed in front of Vane’s eyes.

[Main Quest Cleared: Neutralize the Galaxy’s Cancer – The Greenskins. Reward: World Completion +10%. Title Unlocked: You Da Boss, Da Biggest and Da Baddest WAAAGH!]

As soon as the completion prompt faded, a whole cascade of new notifications practically blew up his HUD.

[New Main Quest Triggered: Repel the Tyranid Swarm, Defend the Galaxy. The extra-galactic Tyranid race is attempting to devour the entire Milky Way. A mere fraction of their tendrils has already pushed the galaxy’s factions to the brink. If the main Hive Fleet arrives, total consumption is inevitable. Find a way to wall off the Tyranids outside the galactic rim. Reward: World Completion +10%. Title Unlocked: Bane of the Hive Mind.]

“Wall the Tyranids outside the galaxy…” Vane frowned slightly.

Obviously, the most straightforward way to clear this quest would be to just wipe the bugs out entirely. But doing that would be an absolute time-sink. The Tyranids aren’t just chilling in this one galaxy; they’re scattered all over the damn universe. Just tracking them all down would be a ridiculously massive undertaking. I can’t afford to waste hundreds or thousands of years messing around in the Warhammer universe. I’ve got other worlds to speedrun, for crying out loud.

“What if I just… built a giant wall around the galaxy to keep them out?” Vane rubbed his chin, a brand-new idea sparking in his brain.

Theoretically, as long as I have the materials, building a wall around the entire galactic perimeter wouldn’t be that hard. I’ve got my building mods installed. With enough blocks in my inventory, I could slap that wall down in an instant.

The only problem is that the Milky Way is a hundred thousand light-years across. The sheer volume of blocks needed to enclose that kind of space is mind-boggling. Even if I set up massive automated cobblestone generators and iron golem farms, it would still take forever just to AFK and farm the materials. A hundred thousand light-years… I’d be grinding for centuries just to get enough blocks.

“I wonder if I can use the Warp to build it…”

Vane suddenly remembered a piece of lore from the Horus Heresy. The traitor Primarch Lorgar had used mass slaughter and dark rituals to summon the Ruinstorm—a massive warp anomaly that practically engulfed the galaxy. When the Lion, Sanguinius, and Guilliman realized Big E was still alive, they disbanded Imperium Secundus and rushed to Terra to help. But on their way, they got completely stonewalled by the Ruinstorm and couldn’t break through.

After dragging themselves through hell and back, they accidentally crash-landed on the planet Davin. There, the three Primarchs threw down with Warp demons, smashed their grand conspiracy, and destroyed the anchor keeping the Ruinstorm alive so they could finally make a beeline for Terra. Along the way, those Primarchs actually bumped into a mega-structure that spanned an entire star system—a colossal wall directly willed into existence by the Warp.

Maybe I can exploit that exact same mechanic to build a galactic perimeter wall and keep the bugs out.

For the sake of the galaxy’s innocent citizens, the demons of the Immaterium are just gonna have to take one for the team and suffer a little. I’ll have to see if I can round up a massive horde of demons and put them to work building my wall.

Oh, speaking of which, I could totally use those demons as monster NPCs for the Desire Grand Prix! That would definitely spike the show’s ratings.

Vane closed out the Tyranid quest notification, only to have another one pop up immediately.

[New Main Quest Triggered: Construct the Human Pantheon, Establish a New Order in the Warp. Since the War in Heaven, the Immaterium has been in a state of absolute anarchy. Under the manipulation of the Chaos Gods, it has devolved into a literal hellscape. A new order must be established to untangle the chaotic energies and raging emotions, restoring the Warp to its former calm so it can serve as a peaceful resting place for the souls of the dead. Objective: Ascend the loyal Primarchs—who possess inherent Warp essences—to godhood and create a Pantheon specifically for humanity. Reward: World Completion +10%. Title Unlocked: The True Minecraft Creator God.]

“Now this is a quest I can get behind,” Vane grinned.

“Sanguinius, Guilliman, the Lion, the Khan, Leman Russ, and Ferrus Manus—those six have basically already ascended to godhood. That just leaves three: the stubborn rock Rogal Dorn, Uncle Vulkan, and the Raven Lord Corvus Corax.”

“As long as I can get those last three Primarchs to ascend, this quest will be a total walk in the park.”

The only reason the Warhammer universe is universally blacklisted as a ‘No-Go Zone’ for Isekai protagonists isn’t because the Chaos Gods are unbeatable. It’s simply because this hellhole is rotten to its absolute core. You suffer when you’re alive, you suffer when you die, and you suffer if you’re stuck somewhere in between. While you’re breathing, you have to constantly watch your back against Chaos cults, horrific aliens, and the Imperium’s own tyrannical, dehumanizing bureaucrats. Life is a miserable, endless grind. And the moment you die? Your soul gets yeeted straight into the Warp to be tortured by demons for all eternity.

Once the Human Pantheon is built, we can reorganize cosmic authorities and properly guide the souls of the living and the dead to a peaceful afterlife, or at least merge them safely into the collective human consciousness. Once that’s sorted, the Warhammer universe won’t be a complete cosmic dumpster fire anymore.

[New Main Quest Triggered: Defeat the Four Chaos Gods, Restore Peace to the Immaterium. As monstrous Warp entities born from the unintended consequences of the Old Ones’ experiments, their very existence pollutes the entirety of the Empyrean. As long as they exist, the eventual corruption and downfall of every race in the galaxy is inevitable. They must be destroyed to give the galaxy’s civilizations a chance at true salvation. Reward: World Completion +10%. Title Unlocked: The Cesspool Terminator.]

“Wait, taking down the Four Chaos Gods is a literal quest now?” Vane stared at the final notification prompt, genuinely taken aback.

Counting these three new quests, plus the two incomplete ones I already have—’Defeat the Necrons and C’tan’ and ‘Punish All Traitor Primarchs’—clearing them all would push my World Completion straight to 100%.

As long as I knock out these five tasks, I’ll have officially speedrun this entire universe.

“Honestly, building the Human Pantheon looks like the easiest one on the board.” After comparing the quests, Vane decided to tackle the Pantheon project first.

All the loyalist Primarchs have already returned. I just need to power-level the last three into gods, and we can break ground on the Pantheon.

“Hey, Big E, tell your boys to group up at Terra. We’re heading back there too.” Vane said, turning his head.

“Eh? Why the sudden rush back to Terra?” Trazyn, who had been busy inspecting the Greenskin terminal, looked up and stared at Vane in sheer confusion.

“I need to ascend the last three Primarchs into gods so we can forge a Pantheon and beat the Immaterium back into order,” Vane stated matter-of-factly.

Eldrad, Big E, Trazyn, and even the two chubby little Ork gods froze dead in their tracks.

What the hell did he just say?! He wants to build a Human Pantheon?!
