Minecraft: The Conqueror of Multiverse
Chapter 121 The Tables Have Turned!
Escorted by fighters, a golden dropship punched through the atmosphere and touched down on the Custodes’ exclusive landing pad. With the hiss of hydraulics, the boarding ramp lowered.
Vane and Big E stepped out to find the Primarchs already waiting for them. Seeing their father again, whatever old grievances and rifts that once existed vanished into thin air, leaving only the sheer excitement and joy of reunion.
“Father.”
Big E looked at his sons in silence. Then, without a word, he pulled them into tight hugs, one by one. The unexpected gesture left the Primarchs completely stunned, frozen in place.
“It has been a long time, my sons. Ten thousand years ago… had I shown you just a little more trust, perhaps the tragedies that followed could have been avoided.”
“It wasn’t your fault,” Jaghatai replied. “What you did wasn’t wrong. It’s just that the burden of saving humanity was simply too heavy.”
Jaghatai’s words struck a chord, drawing nods of deep agreement from his brothers. The unveiled truth of the Warp had completely washed away the bitter taste of Big E’s past lies and dictatorial rule.
Nobody could have possibly done a better job under those hellish circumstances. He had been plotted against by the gods, betrayed by allies, and constantly forced to deal with the suspicions of his own subordinates and sons. Externally, he faced endless hordes of xenos, splintered human factions, and the Chaos Gods chanting from the shadows. Internally, there were ambitious backstabbers gunning for his life, warlords scheming for a restoration of the old orders, and traitors who had been duped by the Warp into thinking they held the ultimate truth.
Amidst all that, he still had to conquer the entire galaxy, forge the Imperium of Man, make humanity whole again, and scrape together the resources to build the Webway.
“I hate to interrupt the touching father-son reunion, but we’ve got bigger fish to fry right now.”
Vane stepped forward, interrupting Big E and the Primarchs. He pulled out the Shadow Crown, the Heart of the Forge, and the Origin of the Earth—items he had synthesized along the way—and handed them over to Corax, Vulkan, and Dorn.
Corax already possessed the power of shadows and could transform into a flock of ravens; putting on the Shadow Crown and wielding the authority of shadows was a perfect fit. Vulkan was a Perpetual and a master smith; merging with the Heart of the Forge, which represented blacksmithing and smelting, naturally elevated him into the God of the Forge. As for Rogal Dorn, the unyielding stone of the Imperium, it went without saying that the Origin of the Earth was exactly what he needed to become the ultimate grandmaster of civil engineering.
The Primarchs had already heard all about the legendary exploits of Vane, the human Forefather, from their brothers. Seeing the god-tier loot he pulled out, the three didn’t hesitate. They took the items straight away, merged with them, and seized their respective divine authorities.
The commotion of these three Primarchs grasping their new powers was just as massive as when their brothers did it. The resulting cosmic phenomena rippled across the entire Sol System.
But that wasn’t even the biggest change.
Once Dorn, Vulkan, and Corax firmly held their new authorities, radiant light also erupted from Sanguinius, Guilliman, the Lion, Russ, Jaghatai, and Ferrus. Together, their energies synchronized. Finally, an impossibly brilliant light burst forth from Big E, the Master of Mankind himself.
The blinding light unleashed by the nine Primarchs and Big E converged, instantly causing realspace and the Warp to overlap.
Within the Immaterium, the collective light radiated by Big E and the Primarchs gathered to a critical mass before violently detonating like a miniature Big Bang. It unleashed an unparalleled shockwave of blazing fire. The fiery blast rapidly expanded, incinerating any Warp entities and daemons caught in its path.
The sheer scale of this upheaval was even more staggering than the birth of Slaanesh, but this power strictly scoured the Warp; it didn’t cause a single ounce of collateral damage to the materium.
The surging energy quelled the raging Warp storms, carving out a domain right in the heart of the Empyrean. Within this domain, a colossal, majestic palace rose from nothing, radiating an authoritative brilliance like a blazing sun ascending in the Warp. The intense light it emitted pierced through the twisted realms, forcing countless daemons to shriek in sheer agony.
Surrounding the grand palace, breathtaking human architecture began to materialize. Pavilions, temples, massive halls, flowing fountains, and elegant corridors—everything you could ever imagine was there. It was exquisitely beautiful, echoing with holy hymns, looking exactly like a celestial city ripped straight out of mythology.
The very moment this Heavenly City took shape, the souls of deceased humans were gently enveloped by an invisible force. They flew in from every corner of the galaxy, streaming safely into the massive sanctuary.
For the longest time, the souls of the dead had plunged straight into the Warp, serving as nothing more than demon food. Whenever a war broke out in realspace, it was an unimaginably lavish all-you-can-eat buffet for the denizens of the Warp. With the manifestation of the Human Pantheon, the souls of the dead would now be guided into this city to rest, merging into the collective consciousness of humanity and completely bypassing their formerly tragic fate.
Watching their food fly right out of their mouths, the daemons of the Warp let out roars of absolute, furious agony. They madly chased after the fleeing human souls, swarming the perimeter of the city and howling endlessly. Once their numbers grew large enough, the ravenous greed of the swarm overpowered their dread of the Anathema, and they launched a frenzy of attacks.
Just as the daemonic hordes began scaling the city walls, brilliant pillars of light crashed down upon the ramparts. From within the blinding light stepped the fallen heroes and soldiers of the Imperium’s past. Transformed into immortal Einherjar, they became the unwavering guardians of the walls, completely barring the daemons from breaching the city.
Heroes of old—Garviel Loken, Tarik Torgaddon, Sigismund, and many others—emerged from the radiance one by one. Reborn as eternal warriors, they unleashed their righteous fury upon the enemy. These brave, fearless champions finally saw their ultimate loyalty rewarded, becoming humanity’s eternal protectors. They would fight on relentlessly until the universe went cold and civilization reached its absolute end.
Looking at the towering, boundless City of Man that had manifested in the Warp, Vane’s face lit up with sheer excitement.
Holy shit. This is just too incredibly badass.
From this day forward, the tables had completely turned. Where the Chaos Gods can go, so can we.
The four Chaos Gods, on the other hand, were completely dumbfounded.
Are you shitting me?! Is this even allowed??
If they had known this was going to happen, they would have just let the Anathema build his damn Webway! If he had finished the Webway, the worst-case scenario was that they wouldn’t be able to influence realspace anymore. They’d just have to tighten their belts and tough it out. They would have at least survived!
But looking at the current situation? They were totally screwed!
That Evil Outer God had actually conjured up a human sanctuary just to throw down with them in their own backyard. This guy was clearly planning to flip the entire Warp upside down and wipe them completely off the board.
