Minecraft: The Conqueror of Multiverse

Chapter 148 Gank A God (Bonus)

  • Next Chapter

Up in the sky, the GUTS crew piloting GUTS Wing 1 and 2 were staring in absolute disbelief.

“Two more giants?!”

“What is even happening down there? Why do they just keep multiplying?”

Back at GUTS Headquarters, Captain Iruma was just as stunned. She had already witnessed one new Ultraman during her run-in with Mitsuo Itabashi. She definitely didn’t expect a third one to randomly pop up.

Exactly how many Ultramen are hiding on Earth?!

—

“As the supposed heroic guardians of Earth, surely you wouldn’t stoop to ganging up on us in an unfair fight.” One of the giant Kyrieloids broadcasted its voice via telepathy. “We demand a one-on-one duel. The victor claims the title of Earth’s true god.”

“Are you actually pulling my leg right now?” Vane openly mocked them. “Where was all this honorable one-on-one talk when you guys were jumping Daigo in an alley?”

“Light ’em up. Beat the absolute hell out of them.”

Big E’s Ultraman Atum was the fastest off the block. He practically teleported behind one of the giant Kyrieloids, throwing a devastating uppercut that launched the alien straight into the stratosphere. Without missing a beat, he teleported into the sky right above it, delivering a second, cataclysmic punch that literally blew the Kyrieloid to pieces mid-air.

“Is… is it over already?”

Daigo stared at the falling debris, completely slack-jawed. Two punches. He didn’t even use a finisher beam, and the monster is just… dead?!

Masaki was equally shook, his mind reeling. Lord Neos’s combat power is completely off the charts.

He quietly thanked his lucky stars he hadn’t been stupid enough to try and challenge the man. If he had, the resulting beatdown would have left him with a lifetime of PTSD!

“What an insanely powerful Ultraman…”

“I’ve gotta be dreaming right now.”

The GUTS pilots were entirely speechless. The fight had ended so fast they hadn’t even had time to lock on with their weapons.

Down on the streets, the doomsday cultists who had just been screaming for their angels to purge the demons went dead silent. It was a complete one-shot. The literal god they had worshipped just got instantly wiped off the map!

The sole remaining giant Kyrieloid froze in place, entirely unsure of what to do next. This was not in the script! Why the hell does Earth have an Ultraman this ridiculously overpowered?!

“Hey, don’t be scared. We aren’t nearly as ruthless as he is. Go ahead, fight us with everything you’ve got,” Vane called out in a remarkably gentle, encouraging tone, looking up at the paralyzed alien. “Be a real, manly Kyrieloid.”

Giant Kyrieloid: “…”

Taking one last look at the absolute monsters standing before him, the Kyrieloid leaped into the air and bolted straight for the glowing Gates of Heaven in the sky. This planet is cursed! If I don’t run right now, I’m gonna get turned into a meat patty!

“You think you’re getting away?” Vane sneered. “Eat an Atomic Breath!”

Godzilla’s dorsal plates ignited one by one, glowing with a blinding, radioactive red light. Once fully charged, Godzilla let out an earth-shattering roar and unleashed a massive, searing crimson beam. It crossed the sky in a fraction of a second, slamming dead-center into the sacred gates.

Boom!

The twin doors couldn’t even withstand a second of the heat. They melted instantly, dripping away as glowing red slag.

The atomic beam punched straight through into the mysterious dimension beyond the gate. A few seconds later, an agonizing, utterly desperate shriek echoed from the other side. Likely sensing the apocalyptic threat heading its way, whatever was controlling the portal panicked, abruptly severing the connection and letting the gate vanish into thin air.

“No…”

The giant Kyrieloid stared at the empty sky where its escape route used to be, pure despair washing over its face.

Daigo and Masaki, who were already hot on its heels, didn’t hesitate. They unleashed their finisher beams at full power, blowing the stranded Kyrieloid into oblivion.

With the Kyrieloid threat neutralized, Vane cancelled his transformation. The second he shifted back to his human form, a barrage of quest completion notifications popped up in his vision.

[Crafting Recipe Unlocked: Kyrieloid]

[Crafting Recipe Unlocked: Sacred Gate to Alternate Dimension]

[Quest: Defeat the Kyrieloids on Earth (Completed). Rewards: Dimensional Pickaxe x1, Lucky Block x1, EMC Points +1000, Enchanted Golden Apple x20, Progression +1%, Title: “God? Just Another Loser”.]

If I’m remembering right, this pickaxe should be from the Betweenlands mod.

Vane popped open his inventory and immediately spotted a pickaxe shimmering with an iridescent, rainbow glow.

[Item: Dimensional Pickaxe. Rumor has it this pickaxe belonged to the God of Dimensions. It possesses strange powers, capable of mining dimensional blocks and tracking down incredibly rare ores. Evaluation: “Wanna visit another dimension? Use this to dig your way there.”]

Vane had barely finished looking over his loot when a new quest prompt popped up in his vision.

[Quest: Defeat the Kyrieloid God. You successfully crushed the Kyrieloid conspiracy on Earth, but the root of the problem remains intact. Please eliminate the Kyrieloid God and completely eradicate this cancer. Rewards: Radiant Star Map x1, Skill “Rewind Time”, Lucky Block x1, Titan Iron Golem x20, EMC Points +1500, Ring of Invisibility x1, Ring of Teleportation x1, Majestic Elytra, Somersault Cloud Amulet, Progression +1%, Title: “Destroyer of Kyrieloids”.]

“There’s a follow-up quest?”

Vane skimmed the notification and immediately swiped it away. His current power level was nowhere near high enough to justify invading an alternate dimension just to gank a god. He’d let the guy live for a few more days.

With the battle wrapped up, Big E, Daigo, and Keigo Masaki slipped away from the public eye and reverted to their human forms.

“Being a Giant of Light feels pretty damn good. I think we can take this tech back to the my universe and roll it out,” Big E said, walking up to Vane to get his take.

“Go ahead and mess around with it however you want,” Vane replied, not really caring either way.

“Then it’s settled. I’m taking every usable piece of tech in this universe back with me.”

Even though the Imperium of Man no longer had to deal with the threat of the four Chaos Gods, there were still plenty of hostile xenos and Warp entities looking to tear humanity apart. If he could bring this universe’s technology back home, the Imperium’s development would absolutely skyrocket.
