Yanzi turned around, just in time to see the young man, and couldn't help but shout.

"Brother, are you also planning to go to the Heavenly Mountain Summit to watch the battle?"

"We've lost the path up the mountain; do you know the way?"

Yanzi and Old Cat's Baidu map on their phones had lost its markers upon reaching here, leaving only some vague mountain ranges.

Further ahead, Yanzi no longer knew which path to take.

The young man removed the straw from his mouth, glanced at Yanzi, and spoke indifferently.

"If there's no road up the mountain, head down instead."

"The snow on Tianshan is deep, an avalanche would be disastrous."

Despite his words, he continued heading towards the mountain without looking back.

Yanzi felt somewhat unsatisfied.

"If an avalanche really happened, why don't you go down the mountain? Aren't you afraid of danger?"

The young man burst into laughter.

"Don't mention a small avalanche, even if the sky itself were falling, it wouldn't faze me!"

As he spoke, he continued on his way, ignoring Yanzi and Old Cat.

"Hey, hey, wait for us."

Yanzi became anxious, chasing after the young man fiercely.

But as soon as they climbed a steep slope, the young man's figure disappeared.

Old Cat, burdened with a mountain-like backpack, struggled to keep up behind Yanzi.

He placed his camera tripod by the roadside and sat on the ground, panting heavily.

"Yanzi, that guy doesn't seem trustworthy; we'll search for a way up slowly and surely find the path."

Yanzi stood aside, rolling her eyes at him.

"If you could find the way up, you would have found it already."

"What a pity, we finally met someone who knows the path, but he won't guide us. So stingy."

At that moment, a voice appeared from Yanzi's left, lazy and filled with amused sarcasm.

"Little girl, speaking ill of someone from behind isn't a good habit."

Yanzi jumped, only to see the person from before return, looking down at the two from the slope.

"Why... why have you come back?"

Yanzi was both surprised and delighted, rushing towards him.

Old Cat muttered, packing up his backpack, helplessly following behind Yanzi.

The man looked at the pendant around Yanzi's neck, his eyes quite peculiar.

"Where did you get this? I guess you're from the Imperial Wang Family of the Capital, aren't you?"

Yanzi jumped, instinctively shielding her pendant with her hand.

This item, of unknown material, was crystal clear, emitting a glossy glow, with a faint symbol in the middle.

Almost every direct descendant of the Wang Family possesses such a pendant.

It's said to have been left by Peerless Great Power Wang Xiaoshi of the Wang Family.

Its specific magical effects are unknown.

But every direct descendant of the Wang Family has one, symbolizing their identity.

The young man saw Yanzi's expression and knew he was right.

He chuckled unexpectedly.

"Didn't expect to bump into Wang Family members here."

Although Yanzi was young, being from the Wang Family, she received rigorous elite training, gaining some Mortal World experience.

She cautiously looked at the young man: "Who are you? How do you know the Imperial Wang Family of the Capital?"

The young man laughed and shrugged.

"You don't need to know who I am, but since you're from the Imperial Wang Family, I'll naturally take care of you. Let's go together."

As he spoke, he walked ahead, hands behind his back, and his steps were carefree with a feeling of almost flying away.

Yanzi watched his figure, both puzzled and uncertain, while Old Cat joined her, looking somewhat uneasy.

"Yanzi, when traveling it's wise to be cautious; we must be careful."

Yanzi nodded, stepping forward with Old Cat to follow the young man.

Dusk fell, yet Tianshan's snow remained, with Thousand-Year Profound Ice never melting.

Their vision wasn't affected by the reflection of silvery snow.

The young man continued walking in front, like a moving robot, slow yet graceful.

Yanzi longed to catch up and speak to him, but a distance of about ten feet separated them.

No matter how she propelled her Essence Qi to increase speed, she couldn't catch up to the strange young man.

Suddenly, shadows whirled from the left path like lightning.

Both Yanzi and Old Cat were startled, standing there uncertainly.

Older of them, Old Cat, pointed at one person and shouted.

"Old Luo, it's you guys here on a mission, isn't it?"

In the reflected snowlight, a person wore a camouflage thermal suit, thick-soled boots, and held an assault rifle.

Old Luo paused in surprise upon seeing Old Cat.

"Old Cat, didn't expect to see you here. Weren't you at the military academy in the Capital? What brings you here?"

Old Cat pulled a face towards Yanzi nearby.

"No choice, my Goddess wants to see a battle of immortals, so I was dragged here."

Old Luo glanced at Yanzi, his expression very serious.

He pulled Old Cat aside, handing him a cigarette.

"We're on orders from above to maintain guard duty here."

"Let me tell you, it's beset with danger; you better quickly take this young lady downhill."

Old Cat glanced at Yanzi nearby, laughing wryly.

"Stop beating around the bush; the whole Earth knows this is a duel between two Great Masters from the Cultivation World, who isn't aware of the danger?"

"But such a rare chance, no one wants to miss it, let us pass?"

Old Luo hesitated as Old Cat showed a small book.

"See, I'm a Captain from the National Defense Intelligence Office, I have the right to enter."

Old Luo thought for a moment, sighed deeply.

"Alright, but be careful, watch just two kilometers away with binoculars, don't near the summit center."

He handed a pistol to Old Cat.

"The bullets are specially treated, etched with runes, effective against cultivators below Foundation Establishment, keep it on you just in case."

Old Cat nodded, accepted the gun, bid farewell to Old Luo, and moved forward.

Nearby, Yanzi stomped her feet, looking around.

"Strange, where did that guy go? Why can't I find him again?"

Old Cat looked carefully and found the strange young man again absent, confused.

The two continued along the mountain path, unable to walk a kilometer, and saw that strange young man again.

Yanzi felt both joy and grievance, rushing up to the young man.

"Hey, you're so rude, leaving without a word?"

The young man turned, looked at Yanzi meaningfully.

"I actually think you should listen to the man beside you, if a woman is too strong-minded, she might never get married."

"Bah, who are you to tell me! Who says I'm going to marry him?"

Yanzi spat, turned around, glaring at Old Cat.

Old Cat chuckled, secretly pleased, feeling a bit more favorable toward the young man.

After several hours of stop-and-go journeying, the trio finally reached the North High Peak of Tianshan.
