Chapter 2304 - 2305: Outer Door Disciple

This person, Yang Fei knows.

He is the Old Cat who went to Tianshan with Yang Fei, along with another person, Yanzi.

Yanzi is a direct descendant of the Wang Family, so Yang Fei deliberately paid attention.

He has some impressions of these two juniors.

Yang Fei turned around, glanced at Old Cat, and said lightly.

"Do you have business with me? Where's Yanzi?"

Old Cat witnessed Yang Fei's peerless divine skills firsthand and admired him to the point of worship.

Old Cat respectfully bowed to Yang Fei, his expression very fearful and cautious.

"Yanzi asked me to wait for you here. I have been waiting for two days and one night, and finally, you came."

Yang Fei casually greeted Old Cat and had originally planned to turn around and enter the gates of the Hidden Dragon Nine Divisions.

Listening to Old Cat's words, he turned back to look at him again.

"What's up? Any issues?"

Old Cat glanced at the sentinel not far away, smiled bitterly.

"If Master Yang has the time, I would like to have a word."

His smile showed awkwardness, a bit of restraint, and was full of anticipation.

Yang Fei had many major affairs to attend to, not having time to deal with this little lieutenant.

He hesitated for a moment, pondering silently.

Seeing Yang Fei's indecisiveness, Old Cat became anxious, stepped forward, and pleaded with Yang Fei.

"Master Yang, you save the distressed and show great compassion, you must help us this time, it concerns the lifetime happiness of me and Yanzi."

Yang Fei felt a stir in his heart and finally nodded slowly.

"Whatever the matter, speak here, I'm very busy, you have only one minute."

Old Cat felt relieved as if pardoned.

He then explained the whole situation succinctly and quickly.

It turns out, both Old Cat and Yanzi are excellent students from the Capital Military Academy.

Yanzi has a fiery temperament, acts swiftly, and has exceptional military skills.

Old Cat, however, is gentle in nature, but is also an excellent hacker.

The two, one skilled in literature and the other in martial arts, often trained and executed tasks together.

Gradually, Old Cat developed feelings for this heroic senior.

Yanzi also harbored affection for this warm-hearted junior.

However, Old Cat never knew the esteemed background Yanzi came from.

She is a direct descendant of the Wang Family, regarded as the past equivalent of a princess in the Capital City.

Old Cat, however, hails from a commercial family in Jiangnan Province, with some assets but far from being a billionaire.

This family background, compared to the mighty Wang Family, is nothing more than an ant.

Therefore, from the outset, their relationship was strongly intervened by the Wang Family.

Marriages between noble families are all about strong unions, especially for family elites like Yanzi.

Old Cat sighed over his shallow foundation, unable to match Yanzi.

Yanzi is a girl with a remarkably strong and resilient character.

After several negotiations with her family were refused, she simply decided to quietly promise her life to Old Cat.

Yanzi and Old Cat went to Tianshan against the Wang Family's taboo.

Upon returning, Yanzi was grounded by her family and directly detained at home.

Old Cat gathered bits of information through various inquiries.

Wang Family is already preparing to betroth Yanzi to a direct descendant of another prestigious family, the Zhou Family, with an engagement planned for tomorrow night.

Noble families like the Wang and Zhou Families traditionally value rules and credibility, once engaged, marriage is almost a certainty.

Both Old Cat and Yanzi were heartbroken, secretly rendezvousing over the phone and crying several times.

Yanzi suddenly thought of Yang Fei.

Taking Yang Fei's role as the Guardian God of the Wang Family, if Yang Fei were willing to speak a word on their behalf, even the Family Head would have no choice but to withdraw the decision.

Yanzi asked Old Cat to find Yang Fei at the Hidden Dragon Nine Divisions, begging for his support.

Old Cat couldn't go inside, so he waited outside the gates of the Hidden Dragon Nine Divisions for two days and one night, finally meeting Yang Fei.

Old Cat, hearing this, looked at Yang Fei nervously and fearfully, pleading desperately.

"Master Yang, please help me and Yanzi."

"We genuinely love each other. Without Yanzi, I don't know how to live."

Yang Fei, hearing this, spat sharply.

"Useless fellow, you are not worthy of Yanzi, wouldn't you strive to improve yourself to earn some recognition from the Wang Family?"

Old Cat looked at Yang Fei in fear, somewhat at a loss.

"But... Master Yang, the Wang Family is very snobbish; with my family's modest power and wealth, they don't even consider us."

Yang Fei snorted: "True strong people never fear petty snobs."

"If you were truly powerful, the snobs would only flatter you, how dare they suppress you, oppose you?"

Old Cat understood Yang Fei's words but was crestfallen.

"But Yanzi is getting engaged tomorrow night, I..."

Yang Fei looked at Old Cat profoundly, speaking calmly.

"I can give you an identity, allowing you to marry Yanzi."

"But if you are not strong enough, even if you got Yanzi, you will eventually lose her."

Old Cat stared blankly at Yang Fei, not comprehending his meaning.

Yang Fei finished speaking and casually took out a jade talisman, in which he infused a set of Cultivation Techniques, then handed it to Old Cat.

"From today onwards, I accept you both, Yanzi and you, as outer door disciples."

"Take this set of techniques to train with Yanzi; if there are achievements in the future, you must serve the country and protect the Divine Land."

Upon saying this, Yang Fei sneered.

"Tomorrow, you will go to the Wang Family using this jade talisman as proof of being my Outer door disciple."

"Humph, I want to see who dares compete with Yang Fei's Outer door disciple for a woman."

Yang Fei finished speaking, casually pulled out a Gathering Yuan Pill, and handed it to Old Cat.

"This Gathering Yuan Pill, along with the Cultivation Techniques, is enough for you to enter the Qi Refinement Realm."

"If you still can't break through the Qi Refinement Realm in three months, I'll expel you from the sect."

Yang Fei finished speaking and, without waiting for Old Cat to react, walked directly into the gates of the Hidden Dragon Nine Divisions.

Old Cat stood dumbfounded for a moment before suddenly reacting, overwhelmingly joyful.

"I... have become Master Yang's outer door disciple, now both Yanzi and I are saved."

With Yang Fei's current prestige, he has subtly become the number one in Huaxia, no major family in Huaxia can compete.

Old Cat, as his outer door disciple, has a status higher than many Family Heads of top-tier families.

Understanding this, Old Cat was in tears of gratitude.

He knelt on the ground, toward Yang Fei's silhouette, offering three bows and nine prostrations, completing the disciple ceremony he missed earlier.

The next evening, the Wang Family Courtyard was bustling with guests.

Yanzi, being the direct descendant daughter of the Wang Family, despite the engagement banquet being intentionally low-key, still showcased the prestige of a top-tier family.

Yanzi was forcibly dressed in formal evening attire, welcoming guests alongside her mother at the courtyard gates.

This was the rule personally set by Old Master Wang, prohibiting the use of retainers and servants, mandating that the hosts themselves greet guests as a sign of respect.

Today, Yanzi was exceptionally beautiful, with exquisite makeup, but her face was clouded with sorrow.

Anyone could see her perfunctory and helpless smile.

Yanzi's mother couldn't stand it, after just welcoming a wave of guests, she chastised Yanzi softly.

"Today is your engagement ceremony, pull yourself together, don't embarrass me in front of everyone."
