Miss Witch, It's Time to Clean the Entries
Chapter 160 - 123: Save me, Knight.
Chapter 160: Chapter 123: Save me, Knight.
Lian’s mouth was dry. He had to picture Catherine’s face several times in his mind to resist the temptation.
’Time to clean the next entry.’
Lian’s hand reached for the red entry: [Merfolk Bloodline].
While it could awaken a terrifying Power within Nancy Stuart, it was also the very thing that would turn her into a Sea Monster. To prevent that horrifying future, Lian had to clean this entry.
’This is the first time I’ve realized I can actually change someone’s bloodline!’
His consciousness once again entered the Illusion Realm.
This time, he found himself on a small boat upon the Forbidden Sea.
The jet-black surface of the sea was like an all-devouring beast—silent and deep. Waves lapped gently against the boat’s hull.
As an eerie wind picked up, ripples spread across the surface of the sea. Huge waves, like black mountain peaks, rose and fell in succession, and the small boat swayed precariously in the tempest.
Suddenly, an even more colossal shadow rose from the seabed. It churned slowly, stirring up monstrous waves that threatened to capsize the entire ocean.
It was a Sea Monster. Its body was unbelievably immense. The rough scales on its skin shimmered in the waves, giving off a cold, metallic sheen. Its eyes were like burning embers—indifferent and deep, seeming to pierce right through a person’s soul.
Embedded in the great Sea Monster’s body was a human woman.
She bore a striking resemblance to Nancy Stuart.
She lowered her head and looked at Lian.
Her hollow eyes burned with a ghostly blue Flame, revealing nothing but endless desire and depravity.
Just as Lian’s consciousness was about to be pulled into an endless Abyss, a soft green light enveloped him.
Solaya’s Spirit had saved Lian just in time, keeping his mind from being enthralled.
When Lian came to his senses, he was drenched in a cold sweat.
’If Solaya had been even a moment later, I might have been doomed, perhaps never to wake again.’
’Cleaning an entry, it turns out, is incredibly dangerous.’
The woman embedded in the Sea Monster realized Lian wasn’t under her control and let out a furious roar.
"Why are you trying to take my daughter away!"
"You can’t take her away!"
"She is mine!"
"Mine!"
The voice struck directly at his soul, making Lian feel as if ten thousand steel needles were churning inside his brain, threatening to split his skull.
A part of Solaya’s Spirit promptly pulled Lian out of the Illusion Realm and back to reality.
’Even as a Five-star Light and Shadow Knight, I still can’t accomplish something as major as changing a bloodline,’ Lian realized. ’Especially not when my opponent is such a powerful deep-sea leviathan.’
’Just a projection of that monster could inflict so much damage on me.’
’This thing... it’s probably not much weaker than the [Eye of Misfortune], is it?’
’Could it be a Lord Level monster from the deep sea?’
As Lian’s consciousness returned, he found Nancy Stuart in a terrible state.
She looked as if she had just gone through a serious illness. Drenched in sweat and gasping for breath, she lay collapsed on the floor, her face ashen.
Moments before, she too had felt a soul-rending agony.
Lian wiped the sweat from his own forehead before helping Nancy Stuart up, letting her rest against the soft seat of the carriage.
"Save me, my Knight."
Nancy Stuart’s hand found Lian’s, and she clung to it like a lifeline.
Her body was ice-cold, and faint fish scales had begun to appear on her skin. Her long blue hair seemed to take on a life of its own, reaching out to tightly entangle them both.
