Chapter 180: Chapter 132: This Scene Is Not for Young Girls (Part 2)

An ancient altar stretched as far as the eye could see.

The ancient altar was encircled by the black tail feathers of one-eyed crows, a symbol of darkness and depravity. Heavy breathing sounds rose and fell in the silent night.

The altar was covered in crimson satin. Drops of dark gold blood slowly dripped from the satin, pooling into patches of eerie light.

Watching the scene change before her eyes, Nancy Stuart’s jaw dropped in astonishment once again.

She was no naive damsel, and she had even seen her fair share of bloody spectacles. But this was the first time she had ever seen such a magnificent Cult altar.

And what’s more, this was all constructed by one person inside a dream.

Even she, who had eaten the flesh of a Succubus, couldn’t do something like this.

"We need a Bed of Calamity here."

Lian continued.

Instantly, countless Beds of Calamity, built from mounds of human bones, erupted from the ground.

They stacked 999 layers high, stretching up beyond sight.

The sight was magnificent, like a divine creation.

You’d have to kill tens of thousands of people to pile them that high.

At the very top remained the totem of the Eye of Misfortune, composed of fresh human eyeballs—dripping with blood, each one plump and full.

"I need fellow celebrants for the ritual."

Lian said slowly.

Figures in black robes materialized beside the altar. They appeared out of thin air, as if mass-produced by an AI, and soon surrounded the altar in layer after layer.

They stood silently in place, seemingly waiting for Lian to give his next command.

Nancy Stuart was utterly shocked.

"How are you doing this?"

"This is my dream. Isn’t it perfectly normal for me to control my own dream?"

Lian asked, confused.

"No, this isn’t normal. No one can control their own dreams like this. Dreams are subconscious, things that control us. But you—you’ve used your own Power to control the dream."

Nancy Stuart said.

Lian stroked his chin. "Could it be because I’ve already learned to control my own consciousness, and that’s why I can do this?"

"Perhaps. I’ll help you lure them over now."

Nancy Stuart turned, and her figure vanished from the dreamscape.

This was a power that belonged to a Succubus.

Lian only needed to wait for the three sacrificial offerings to appear.

Meanwhile, in his temporary residence, Sting Litt, the Minister of War of Rose Territory, was falling into a drowsy dream while holding a Maid in his sleep.

He rubbed his eyes, pushed the Maid beside him away, and sat up in bed.

He saw Nancy Stuart.

Dressed in a white gown, she was stunningly beautiful, standing there quietly right in front of him.

Greed and excitement flickered in Sting Litt’s eyes.

"Nancy Scalia, have you finally realized your mistake? As long as you serve me well, I won’t bear to give you away to someone else."

Nancy Stuart gave him a cold glance and turned to leave.

Sting Litt immediately jumped to his feet and followed her without even bothering to get dressed.

He walked out of the residence and into the deep darkness.

The figure in white remained a short distance ahead of him, neither too close nor too far.

Like a fish that had taken the bait, he continuously advanced toward the location Nancy Stuart had designated for him.

No matter how he shouted and threatened from behind, Nancy Stuart never broke her stride.

It wasn’t until Sting Litt realized something was wrong.

He frowned. ’This is a dream?’

Nancy Stuart turned back and looked at him. "Yes, this is a dream."

"Oh, so it’s a dream. I’ve had a rendezvous with you in my dream. How wonderful, isn’t it?"

Sting Litt reached out, trying to grab Nancy Stuart.

Nancy Stuart turned and melted into the black mist.

When Sting Litt came to his senses, he was already in the middle of the altar.

Beside him were two other Knights, both his trusted subordinates.

"Why are you two here as well?"

Sting Litt asked, confused. ’Why are my two subordinates in my dream?’

"I was lured here by Nancy Scalia."

"Me too."

The two Knights’ words instantly put Sting Litt on high alert.

But this was just a dream, after all. ’What can Nancy Stuart possibly do to us in a dream?’

’Is she trying to create a Nightmare to scare us?’

At this thought, Sting Litt couldn’t help but laugh.

"Hahaha, Nancy Scalia, you truly are a naive little girl. Did you think creating a Nightmare would be enough to warn us? Sorry, but a Nightmare only makes things more exciting for us. We will find you in the real world and show you what a true Nightmare is."

The two Knights chimed in, assailing Nancy Stuart with their filthy language.

But Nancy Stuart didn’t mind at all.

She had already exited the dream at the earliest opportunity.

The rest was up to Lian, who now had to interface with the Evil God himself.

Nancy Stuart didn’t think she had the courage to face the Evil God directly.

And Lian didn’t want her to be tainted by the aura of the Eye of Misfortune either.

The trio’s laughter echoed across the empty altar, somehow growing louder and louder.

Then they realized they were surrounded by many black-robed figures, who were also laughing along with them.

This bizarre scene scared them witless.

"Who are you?"

Sting Litt asked nervously.

The black-robed figures all pulled back their hoods, revealing Lian’s handsome face. In unison, they answered Sting Litt.

"It’s me, Lian Moria."

"Damn it, what is this bullshit?! How can there be so many Lian Morias!!!"

Sting Litt and the two Knights cursed in unison.

The Lians smiled as they slit their own wrists, letting the blood flow into the grooves at the base of the altar.

The blood began to boil. They opened their mouths as one and chanted in a booming voice:

"Great remnant of Jari."

"God of the East who commands Calamity and disaster."

"Please answer your devout Believer."

"Join us in this feast of flesh and blood."

"I offer Sting Litt and his two Knights as a sacrifice to you."

"I ask for your boon in return."

"Please respond to your Believer, and bring forth your Power."

"Eye of Misfortune."

"Please open."

As the sound of the Spell grew louder, the air began to warp, and an ominous aura started to spread.

Sting Litt and his two Knights all had a bad feeling. They stared nervously at the overcast sky.

"Damn it, we’re being used as sacrifices."

"Is he summoning the Eye of Misfortune?"

"Impossible, impossible! This is a dream! It’s fine! Don’t panic, we’ll be fine! This is just a Nightmare that bitch constructed to warn us! Nothing can happen to us."

"Yeah, how could anyone summon the Eye of Misfortune in a dream? Even if it appeared, it would just be an illusion!"

"We’ll definitely be fine. After we wake up, we’ll go deal with that bitch together."

Sting Litt kept reassuring himself and his men, but he could already feel the temperature plummeting and an invisible, terrifying pressure bearing down on them.

The dark clouds in the sky parted, revealing a spectral eye. Its body was covered in blasphemous runes, making it impossible to look at directly.

It opened its eye and looked down at the three Knights on the altar.

While they weren’t as substantial as the Spirit of the Forest, they could be considered a passably tasty meal.

The Eye of Misfortune appreciated their greed and filth; such souls were quite chewy to eat.

Sting Litt and his two trusted Knights froze simultaneously.

They never would have imagined that the Eye of Misfortune would actually descend upon this dream.

The pressure was so tangible it made them want to flee. Dream or not, they could already feel the threat of death.

"Heh heh."

The Eye of Misfortune let out a familiar, cold laugh in Lian’s ear.

The next second, chains descended from the sky and shackled the three Knights who were trying to escape.

The chains retracted rapidly, pulling them into the lashless eye of the Eye of Misfortune.

As a Five-star Knight and Minister of War, Sting Litt was utterly powerless against such an Evil God. He was like an ant, going from struggling and cursing Lian to shamelessly weeping and begging for his life in a matter of seconds.

"Lian Moria, you heretic! You’ll be sent to the gallows, to the guillotine! You, a super-heretic who worships the Eye of Misfortune! I curse you—%...&*"

"Lian Moria, you can’t kill me! I’m the Minister of War for Rose Territory! I’m a Count! You can’t kill me! You can’t sacrifice me! Stop it! You have to stop! You won’t be able to withstand Lady Mary’s fury!"

"Please, save me, Lian Moria! I was wrong! I’ll never covet your woman again, never again!"

Following that were the trio’s heart-wrenching screams and a familiar chewing sound.

Lian watched it all with a detached expression.

"Sorry, it’s too late."
