Modern: My Broken Sign In system
Chapter 36: Sign in
With Morbius by his side, Ben had a powerful advantage going into the Jupiter Academy entrance examination.
They continued discussing the examination for a while. Amanda explained what he could expect during the process, while Maya shared what she knew about the academy and its students.
After breakfast, Amanda eventually left to take care of her own matters.
Ben and Maya returned to their room as well. After spending the night together, they eventually fell asleep.
The following morning, Ben woke up and immediately opened his system.
He still had several unused Sign-In Opportunities that he had accumulated over the previous months. Since he planned to take a short break before the examination, he decided that this was a good time to use them.
Ben checked his system.
[Current Sign-In Opportunities: 1 Awakening Sign-In, 1 Major Realm Breakthrough Sign-In, and 5 Monthly Sign-Ins.]
He had seven Sign-Ins in total.
"System, use all my Sign-Ins."
[All available Sign-In Opportunities will now be used.]
A series of notifications appeared before him.
[Congratulations! You have obtained the Dimensional Evil Eye Eye’s.]
[Congratulations! You have obtained Alchemy Skills Level 2 Mastery.]
[Congratulations! You have obtained 10,000 Celestial Stones.]
[Congratulations! You have obtained the Rare Art: Mist Walker.]
[Congratulations! You have obtained 100,000 Celestial Stones.]
Ben was pleased by the additional Celestial Stones, but the final notification immediately caught his attention.
[Congratulations! You have obtained the Unique-rank Skyboard.]
Ben stared at the message for a moment.
"A Skyboard?"
He had never heard of such an item before.
Curious, Ben immediately opened its information panel to see what kind of reward he had received.
[Unique-Rank Skyboard]
[Description: A Gauss-type flying vehicle designed for high-speed interplanetary travel.]
[The Skyboard is equipped with an advanced artificial intelligence system and can be controlled through mental commands.]
[The Skyboard does not require celestial energy to operate.]
[It can automatically absorb and convert various forms of energy into usable power.]
[The Skyboard possesses an advanced spatial navigation system and can travel safely between planets.]
[It is capable of interplanetary and interstellar travel.]
[The Skyboard can travel throughout the Milky Way Galaxy.]
[Special Technique: Dimensional Travel.]
[Dimensional Travel allows the Skyboard to create temporary spatial passages, greatly reducing the time required to travel between distant locations.]
Ben read through the information carefully.
"So it’s basically a flying vehicle."
He continued reading.
The Skyboard was relatively small and designed to accommodate up to five people. Despite its size, its internal space was much larger than it appeared from the outside.
More importantly, it did not rely on ordinary engines or conventional fuel.
The Skyboard could absorb different forms of energy from its surroundings and convert them into power. This allowed it to operate for extremely long periods without needing to be refueled.
Ben was most interested in its travel capabilities.
A normal spacecraft could take an extremely long time to travel between distant planets, especially when crossing large portions of the galaxy.
The Skyboard, however, possessed a spatial navigation system that allowed it to travel between planets with ease.
Its special technique, Dimensional Travel, made it even more useful.
By using spatial energy, the Skyboard could create a temporary passage through space and shorten the distance between two locations.
This meant Ben could use it to travel not only between planets within the same star system but also across much greater distances.
"It can even travel through the Milky Way?"
Ben looked at the information again.
That was far more useful than he had expected.
With the Skyboard, traveling between distant planets would no longer require relying on large spaceships or other transportation methods.
Ben could simply choose his destination, and the Skyboard’s navigation system would calculate the safest route.
He continued reading through the remaining information.
The Skyboard also possessed several defensive and support systems, allowing it to protect its passengers during high-speed travel and spatial transitions.
Ben nodded with satisfaction.
"This is actually a pretty useful reward."
He had originally expected a flying artifact, but the Skyboard was much more advanced than that.
With its ability to travel between planets and even cross vast distances within the Milky Way Galaxy, it would make future journeys much easier.
Ben closed the Skyboard’s information panel and looked at the other rewards he had received.
The next reward that caught his attention was the Dimensional Evil Eye.
He opened its information panel.
[Dimensional Evil Eye]
[Description: A rare dimensional material containing powerful eye-related energy.]
[The material can be used to awaken or strengthen a powerful Eye-type sub-ability.]
[The quality of the awakened sub-ability depends on the user’s innate ability, cultivation, and compatibility with the material.]
Ben read the description carefully.
"So this can help me awaken an Eye-type sub-ability?"
A smile appeared on his face.
His innate ability, White Ruination of Decay, already had several unusual characteristics. If he used a high-quality material like the Dimensional Evil Eye during a future breakthrough, there was a good chance that he could obtain a powerful new sub-ability.
This was exactly the kind of material he had been looking for.
Ben had originally been worried about not finding a suitable resource for his next breakthrough, but now the problem had practically solved itself.
"It seems like the system knew exactly what I needed."
He smiled and stored the Dimensional Evil Eye in his inventory.
The next rewards were much simpler.
The Alchemy Skills Level 2 Mastery directly increased his mastery of alchemy, while the 110,000 Celestial Stones gave him a large amount of cultivation resources.
Ben didn’t need to spend much time examining them.
He already understood their value.
Finally, he checked the last reward.
[Mist Walker]
[Rank: Rare]
[Type: Movement and Illusion Art]
[Description: A movement technique that allows the user to transform their body into a state similar to mist, greatly increasing movement speed, evasion ability, and mobility. The technique can also create illusions by manipulating the surrounding mist and the user’s movements.]
Ben’s eyes lit up slightly.
"This is useful."
Unlike the other rewards, Mist Walker was a technique that Ben could immediately learn and use.
It combined movement and illusion, giving him another method of dealing with opponents.
