Chapter 370: Chapter 370: Solving It the Green Tea Way

"Wait, what are you guys talking about?"

Seeing the staff’s speculations getting more and more outrageous—

"Has the second young master finally settled down after being such a playboy?"

"It’s pretty touching when a rich playboy shows his deep affection."

"That lady is so lucky. I saw her with some kids earlier. Could they be his?"

"I don’t think so. The kids look quite old. She probably had them with someone else."

"Huh? The second young master actually fell for a woman with kids? That’s definitely true love. I’m so jealous."

"The manager said the roses are on the way. They shipped over quite a lot, so it’ll be convenient if Second Young Mr. Sloan wants to confess his love or something."

Liam was rendered utterly speechless. His expression turned ferocious, his eyes wide with horror.

"Wait! What are you doing? Did you not see Nathaniel’s eyes? Are you trying to get me killed?!" he screamed internally.

"Haha, look at this misunderstanding," Liam chuckled nervously, ready to flee.

Before he could finish his sentence, he suddenly heard a noisy commotion from not far away. He let out a confused noise. "Didn’t I book the whole place today? Who is that?"

Since he had booked the entire venue, there naturally shouldn’t be any other guests. The staff at the equestrian club wouldn’t be laughing and messing around either. The voices clearly belonged to visitors. However, Liam furrowed his brows. Was the owner double-dipping? Taking his reservation fee while still doing business with others?

He was just about to call the owner when the owner’s call came in first.

"Second Young Mr. Sloan, you see... Mr. Yeats insisted on coming, and I couldn’t refuse... He showed up first thing in the morning. I couldn’t just kick him out, and I didn’t have time to discuss it with you..."

Liam understood immediately. The man really was double-dipping. He had clearly booked the entire venue. Why was Evan Yeats allowed in to ruin the mood?! He had planned to bring Estelle Lockwood here to relax, but now the day was ruined!

Liam sneered. "Are you sure you want to say this to a lawyer?"

"Oh dear..." The owner grew anxious. He only knew that Liam had booked the venue, unaware that Nathaniel Sloan was also here. In his mind, while he couldn’t afford to offend Liam, Liam’s status couldn’t compare to the Yeats family. How could Liam, a rich playboy practically abandoned by the Sloan family, compare to the highly favored Evan Yeats?

The art exhibition incident had blown up so massively, yet Evan remained completely unaffected, even having the mood to come eat, drink, and play at the equestrian club. Anyone could see that currying favor with Evan was far more important.

Therefore, the owner now felt a tinge of resentment toward Liam. "Second Young Mr. Sloan, how do you want to handle this? Do you want me to kick Mr. Yeats out? I can refund half your money, but I really can’t drive him away.

"I can’t afford to offend the Yeats family, and neither can you. You know Mr. Yeats’s status... Sigh, I’m only saying all this for your own good."

Liam was incredulous.

"Are you kidding me, man? You’re practically shoving your sarcasm right in my face," he thought.

"Fine. Nathaniel, let’s go," Liam said, laughing out of sheer anger. "Estelle, didn’t Old Mr. Yeats promise you yesterday that Evan wouldn’t cause you any more trouble? How come he’s here snatching our venue today? He doesn’t even understand the concept of first come, first served, yet he’s supposedly the meticulously groomed second young master of the Yeats family.

"It just so happens I have a few buddies who love livestreaming. I’ll tell them about this right now."

Estelle crossed her arms over her chest. "Sure. It’s a good opportunity to ask Mr. Lynch if he really wants to collaborate with someone like that."

"W-Wait?" The owner was instantly dumbfounded. "A-Are you saying Mr. Sloan is here too?"

Hearing the commotion, Nathaniel looked back, raising an eyebrow as he grasped the situation. "Let’s go."

To someone like Liam, spending money didn’t matter, but having his mood ruined and his time wasted made him very unhappy. "Yeah. So what? Alas, who told Nathaniel to be inferior to Evan? We’re leaving. You go ahead and entertain your precious Mr. Yeats."

With that, Liam decisively hung up the phone. He sent a message to his colleagues at the law firm, then walked straight out, heading to another equestrian club right across the street.

Estelle didn’t really mind which club they relaxed at. It was just that... was Evan’s arrival really a coincidence? There were so many equestrian clubs in Crestfall, and people usually booked them in advance. Yet Evan had shown up directly at the entrance without a reservation, forcing the owner to let him in.

Was it unintentional, or was he deliberately trying to disgust her?

Estelle narrowed her eyes slightly. "Let’s go."

She was here to relax, not to make herself unhappy. As for the club and Evan, she trusted Nathaniel would handle them.

Liam still felt infuriated. "Evan is absolutely sickening. If word of this gets out, outsiders will definitely think it’s a trivial matter. If we make a fuss about it, people will just say we’re being petty and narrow-minded."

Little did others know, this was exactly Evan’s plan. If he couldn’t kill them, he would disgust them to death.

Christian suddenly chimed in, "We can use the same method to disgust him back."

Liam looked at him curiously. "How do we do that? Tell me, my darling Christian."

Christian spoke in an obedient, sweet, and soft voice, "Uncle Liam~ You know a lot of friends in the entertainment industry and livestreamers, right~?"

Nathaniel, who was walking alongside the three little ones, hadn’t expected Christian to speak up suddenly. He couldn’t help but feel a bit curious.

Zachery fell utterly silent. He wore a look of sheer agony.

"Run for your lives! The young master is about to put on his innocent little act again!" he screamed in his head.

An hour later, at eleven o’clock in the morning.

It was exactly lunchtime. A certain celebrity on a movie set had started a livestream during his lunch break. Right in the middle of it, a call came through.

The celebrity, who boasted twenty million followers, told his viewers, "Hold on a second, I need to take this call."

Sharp-eyed viewers in the livestream immediately caught the caller ID: Liam Sloan.

[Wow, isn’t that Young Mr. Sloan?]

"Liam, what’s up?"

"Damn it, Fang, let me tell you, something happened today that gets me madder the more I think about it! I booked an entire equestrian club so I could bring my brother, my sister-in-law, and their three kids out to relax. But the owner ended up taking my money and letting other guests in anyway."

The celebrity was surprised. "How could that be? Does he not care about his business reputation?"

"Exactly!" Liam exclaimed. "But the owner told me those guests were big shots. Even after being told the place was fully booked, they barged in regardless and even threatened to kick me out.

"I didn’t want the owner to get into a conflict with his ’distinguished guests,’ so I figured I’d just let it go. But the more I think about it now, the more off it feels. Do you think those guests did it on purpose?"

The celebrity pursed his lips and analyzed the situation. "You booked it in advance, and those guests suddenly showed up knowing you were going to be there. I think... that guest seems to be deliberately targeting you."

The comments in the livestream flooded in with agreement.

"Sigh, is that so? But I never offended him..." Liam sounded distressed. "With his status, I wouldn’t dare offend him anyway..."

The celebrity was perplexed. "Who is it? Someone even you don’t dare offend?"

"Who else but that guy who recently came to Crestfall..." At this point, Liam acted as if he had let something slip. "Oh, never mind, never mind. I really don’t want to cause trouble. Forget it, I’ll stop talking."

After hanging up the phone, Liam turned to Christian and asked, "How was that? Did I play the innocent victim well enough?"

Christian fell silent before shaking his head. "Uncle Liam, your skills aren’t up to par. Let me do it."

Liam was stunned.

Estelle was equally perplexed.
