Monsters Die When Killed

Chapter 433 - 18: Bathing in Divine Blood

  • Next Chapter

Soon, the Water God raised its head and looked at the human who had previously rampaged inside its body, nearly shattering its Magic Furnace Core.

Despite its grievous injuries, the Divine Whale still possessed enough power to alter the weather and freeze the seas. This power billowed out in a fury, causing the torrential rain to fall even harder.

RUMBLE! As the gale raged and thunderbolts flashed, Su Zhou, standing in the sky, locked eyes with the Deity floating in the water. Their positions were now the reverse of what they had been at the start.

"WUUUUUU!!!"

The pupils of the Water God were round. Vast waves churned within its deep blue eyes, which held nothing but pure rage and astonishment.

’This human before me... he isn’t even a Near God, yet his power is so immense that he poses a threat to my very life!’

"What a shame. The trick didn’t work."

Meanwhile, Su Zhou’s pupils narrowed into vertical slits, a blue-violet light flowing within them. The scales across his body bristled, each imbued with a faint, dark blue glow. All the muscles on the young man’s body rippled as he accumulated power. His Spiritual Light grew so scorching and vibrant that it warped the very air, and arcs of cyan electricity crackled and shot out from his body with explosive snaps.

But it was the Water God that attacked first.

RUMBLE! The giant Whale God writhed in the waters of the Three Lakes, which had now completely submerged the land. Its island-sized body arched, and with a slap of its massive tail, it whipped up the water into a tsunami of mist. The mist soared thousands of meters into the sky, where the Water God’s power condensed it into incomparably sharp blades of water. Breaking the sound barrier, they rained down on Su Zhou, blotting out the sky!

This rain of water blades was as dense and frenzied as a school of sardines. It completely enveloped Su Zhou and the area for several thousand meters around him, making any attempt to dodge impossible. The air itself was shredded by the supersonic blades, tearing open vast vacuum fissures.

But Su Zhou had no intention of dodging. He spread his arms as his Gale Armor flared to life. A translucent Wind Armor erupted around him, blocking and deflecting the onslaught. His Gale Shield, spinning like a vortex, then shredded the ice blades—harder and sharper than steel—and ground them into a sky full of ice dust.

As he defended against the endless rain of blades, Su Zhou launched his counterattack. He took a deep breath of the cold air, looking down dispassionately at the Giant Whale that seemed to be testing him. He raised his Dragon Horn Long Spear high, Gale and Thunder Light coiling around it, and then hurled it down at the colossal beast!

BOOM! A tempest erupted and thunder roared. The long spear thrown by Su Zhou vanished in an instant, breaking the sound barrier. It tore a long vacuum corridor through the curtain of rain as visible shockwaves rippled out in all directions. Finally, it slammed into the Giant Whale’s body, blasting open a gash over ten meters long.

But for a Giant Whale over a kilometer long, a superficial wound like that was barely a scratch.

The probing exchange was over. With a grim expression, Su Zhou controlled the gale and the electric charge on his Dragon Horn Long Spear, recalling it to his hand. The Water God, in turn, raised its head and roared.

The sky filled with a deafening roar. Amidst the booming thunder, the entire dim world, saturated by the downpour, trembled in terror before the wrath of a Deity. And yet, the human fighting it was utterly fearless.

Near the small sanctuary of Naisel City, the greatest battle in the Tartadis World since the apocalypse and the severing of the Demon Tide had begun.
