Monsters Die When Killed
Chapter 509 - 14: The Unusual Movement of the Continuous Prayer Meeting
In other words, they still thought Su Zhou was an exceptionally talented Thunder Element Caster.
And before Su Zhou could speak, the voices of the Daoist Saint and the Artifice Sage came through the micro-earpiece in his ear canal: "We don’t mind. Show them what you’ve got." "It’s a trivial matter. Go right ahead."
The two of them had noticed as soon as Rafael approached Su Zhou. Leveraging Zhengguo’s control over the Kunlun Secret Realm, they were observing the exchange from a distance.
They were naturally well aware of their old friend Rafael’s little scheme, but it was nothing to worry about. Every major power had inheritances and experience that led directly to the Immortal God Realm. Su Zhou’s greatest strength wasn’t some special ability, but the mind-boggling fact that he leveled up as if he had an 8x experience boost enabled.
So, Su Zhou nodded and gave a heads-up. "Alright, I’m starting."
Rafael and Selos also grew serious at the same time. A spiritual light flickered in their eyes—they had activated their Spiritual Vision, wanting to carefully observe the flow of Spiritual Qi around Su Zhou.
But all they saw was a gale.
A cyan, torrent-like storm of Spiritual Power.
Standing on the soil of the Kunlun Secret Realm, Su Zhou casually spread his arms. With that motion, four hundred and thirty-two Gale Seeds—a number exceeding what was needed for the Great Cycle of Heaven and Earth Wind Armor realm—tore out from his body, carrying with them an endless storm.
These rapid streams of wind formed a storm that raged between heaven and earth, causing Spiritual Power to surge like a torrent. They crisscrossed one another, forming a vast, cyan net that covered all space within a 152-meter radius centered on Su Zhou. Within this massive domain, the Gale Seeds combined and interlocked, twelve to a group, forming thirty-six simple Spiritual Cores that resembled cannon barrels.
Under the infusion of Su Zhou’s Spiritual Power, these Spiritual Arrays seemed to come alive, orbiting Su Zhou in a peculiar trajectory. Inside each Spiritual Core, various forms of Compressed Spiritual Power were gathering.
It was as if a host of miniature giant dragons were preparing their breaths.
At that moment, not only Rafael and Selos, not only the Daoist Saint and the Artifice Sage, but even the distant national teams sensed it. A massive, unprecedentedly powerful fluctuation of Spiritual Power was building, rumbling like an imminent volcanic eruption.
And the next moment, it erupted.
As Su Zhou casually pointed a finger to the sky, all the cannon-like Spiritual Cores arranged themselves into a circular array and fired in unison.
Thirty-six jets of Spiritual Power ignited the dust in the air, filling the sky with sparks. These lightning-like beams, dazzlingly bright and powerful enough to melt tank armor, could only be called "Dragon Breath." The barrage lasted for a full three seconds, its heat so intense it distorted the air and left dark afterimages burned into one’s retinas. Su Zhou even controlled the residual streams of spiritual light, using them to precisely trace two words in the air: "Su Zhou."
This single attack could instantly destroy thirty-six tanks, assassinate thirty-six unprepared Awakening Tier Transcendents, or even take out several distracted Extraordinary Tier Cultivators.
Flow, acceleration, convergence, agility... The techniques of wind, the teachings and advice from the Wind God, had been thoroughly digested and converted into his own power.
"I was originally going to call them Dragon Cavalry or Floating Cannons—but that seems to be a copyright infringement."
After the volley, Su Zhou retracted his hand. "So I’m going to call it the Dragon Breath Cannon. Ah, well, it’s all the same thing anyway."
The thirty-six Spiritual Cores disintegrated in midair back into individual, leaping Gale Seeds, which then all returned to his body.
Unlike his granddaughter, who was just muttering to herself, ’That’s so strong,’ Rafael slowly lowered his head from gazing at the sky and looked at Su Zhou with gravity. "Thank you very much for your demonstration. I now have a very clear understanding of your strength."
Faced with this power, he subconsciously used a respectful tone. In his mind, however, a thousand thoughts were racing.
’I see... So besides his powerful Thunder Element abilities, Su Zhou also has such talent and power in the Wind Element? This truly makes him invincible on Earth at this stage! Even if an entire squadron of supersonic fighter jets engaged him in aerial combat, they would likely be utterly defeated by this kind of array formation! Eastern Europe would suffer a crushing defeat!’
’These thirty-six Spiritual Cores, capable of releasing a stream of Spiritual Power akin to Dragon Breath at any moment, are practically equivalent to thirty-six mobile, flexible, and extremely powerful tank cannons... Each "shell" has the power of an Extraordinary Tier lesser dragon’s breath!’
’It’s hard to imagine how terrifying the Dragon Breath from Su Zhou’s own True Body must be, considering he’s a Mimic Dao Cultivator!’
"If he just learns to fire Spirit Light Robes in sequence to guarantee uninterrupted suppressive fire, no one will be able to defeat him in a long-range battle within line of sight!"
Even as he continued to speak with Su Zhou, the Harmony Bureau’s high-ranking official was thinking, ’Unless... unless you close the distance quickly and force him into close-quarters Spiritual Martial Arts combat, preventing him from using this technique...’
But Su Zhou was completely unconcerned, smiling and letting the other man speculate.
As the forces of the world’s major powers gathered in the Kunlun Secret Realm, preparing to take action.
「North America, the Alaska Icefield.」
「New Saint Snake Spirit Prayer Association Headquarters.」
A young voice echoed in the empty, domed hall. "Have our people entered the Kunlun Secret Realm?"
"They have, Leader," a respectful middle-aged man’s voice replied. "This time, we can bypass the Kunlun Secret Realm entirely and place a Teleportation Beacon directly in the Beast God Realm. That way, neither Zhengguo nor any other power will be able to stop us from going to the Otherworld."
In the core of this underground fortress, built beneath permafrost and endless ice and snow, was a long, strange table that snaked and twisted like a serpent.
And at the serpent’s head of the table, on a lavish throne that seemed forged from Silver, Gold, and various crystals and Gemstones, sat a young man with a calm demeanor and eyes as bright as Sapphires.
The young man’s features were delicate and androgynous, but not to the point where his gender was ambiguous. His waist-length golden hair was splayed over his shoulders, looking somewhat unkempt, but one could see the strands moving as if alive, like mischievous little snakes coiling and uncoiling around each other.
"Mm," the young man responded to his subordinate’s fawning words, not looking particularly pleased. He steepled his fingers on the table, propped his head up, and said somewhat languidly, "Let’s hope we can achieve our goal this time."
A middle-aged man in a black tuxedo standing by his side, who had been smiling obsequiously, immediately brightened. "No problem! The Spiritual Energy Revival has already happened, and the Beast God Realm is an untamed wasteland. As long as we can establish a proper base there, whether it’s to prepare more sacrifices to trade with the Great Being in the Void or to serve as our new headquarters, we will surely restore the Continuous Prayer Meeting’s former glory..."
"Idiot. That’s not our purpose at all." The young man sighed. He was dealing with a subordinate who never understood their objectives, whose flattery always missed the mark, and who was useless aside from his loyalty. If most of the Continuous Prayer Meeting’s elite forces hadn’t been nearly wiped out in the Shan Country before the Spiritual Energy Revival, he never would have put this man in charge of anything. "Placing a Teleportation Beacon in the Beast God Realm and opening the Void Trading Orbit is one of our goals, of course. But we didn’t plant a long-term mole in the American Federation’s task force just for that!"
He slammed his hand on the table, filled with frustration. "Our objective is ’Su Zhou’!"
As he spoke, the young man lowered his head to gaze at a photograph placed on the long table. He muttered to himself in a solemn tone, "He, and only he, is our true target."
One could see that the photograph on the table featured only one person.
It was the face of Su Zhou.
