With Daxton Lancaster’s words falling, Violet Zimmerman’s gasp echoed loudly, and she immediately covered her mouth with her hand after screaming.

Looking at the man with bright red eyes, Violet Zimmerman shook her head continuously, tears spread across her face.

In normal circumstances, this could be a moment of intimacy, but now it was clearly Daxton Lancaster’s humiliation towards her.

Under the dim light, Daxton Lancaster’s lips curled in a sinister grin, paired with his paper-white face and fiery red eyes, resembling a demon from hell.

"How does it feel? Is it this feeling?"

"Daxton..." Violet Zimmerman tightly covered her mouth, her voice choked with sobs, not daring to make a single ambiguous sound, worried the servants in the room might hear.

"Please, don’t..."

"Is it ’don’t stop’ or really ’don’t’?" Daxton Lancaster slanted his lips in a grin, his fiery eyes staring at Violet Zimmerman, fearing he might miss any of her expressions.

"Violet, don’t be embarrassed. We are husband and wife. Tell me if you want it. Although I’m not perfect, I can satisfy you in other ways."

"No, I beg you, Daxton, please, I’m carrying a child..."

Violet Zimmerman pleaded bitterly. Being pregnant, her actions were clumsy, not to mention, wherever she tried to hide, Daxton Lancaster followed closely, showing no intention of letting her go.

To her, Daxton Lancaster’s behavior was a form of humiliation.

"Hush..." Daxton Lancaster placed another hand at his lips, deliberately whispering, "Don’t speak,"

After speaking, Daxton Lancaster blocked Violet Zimmerman’s lips with his own, words laden with insult penetrating Violet Zimmerman’s ears like a curse...

Joseph Lancaster was drunk. Already in a bad mood, he had consumed quite a bit of alcohol.

Emily Zimmerman and the servant helped him to lie down on the bed. Emily Zimmerman instructed, "You can leave. I’ll take care of him."

The servant responded, leaving the bedroom and thoughtfully closing the door behind.

Joseph Lancaster was heavily drunk. Initially, he had no choice but to accompany Augustus Zimmerman in drinking, and later he wanted to intoxicate himself.

With drunkenness, he couldn’t hear the elders freely express opinions about his marriage, none of the envisioned scenarios they had appealed to him.

Joseph Lancaster was still wearing that white shirt, with one button undone at the collar, and the shirt collar seemed constrictive at his neck due to his lying position, appearing uncomfortable.

Emily Zimmerman sat sideways on the bed edge, hesitated, then raised her hand to help unbutton his collar, unexpectedly having her fingers swatted away by Joseph Lancaster.

"Get lost! I don’t need your care!" Even drunk, he knew exactly who the woman beside him was.

Some incidents are instinctual, but some people are already imprinted in the heart.

Emily Zimmerman took a deep breath, felt very uncomfortable, her fingers curled and then reached out again, "Joseph, let me unbutton your collar. It’ll be more comfortable to sleep."

Joseph Lancaster did not respond, turned his back on her, showing Emily Zimmerman his silhouette.

Emily Zimmerman took another deep breath, but did not leave, pondering before walking towards another door in the room.

If she guessed correctly, it should be the bathroom, seeing as the rooms of wealthy individuals on TV are designed this way.

Emily Zimmerman came out of the bathroom, now holding a damp towel, circled to the other side of the double bed, sat at the bed’s edge, gently wiped Joseph Lancaster’s handsome face.

Joseph Lancaster was heavily drunk, after turning over he fell into deep sleep, even beginning to snore lightly.

Like his brother Daxton Lancaster, the more alcohol Joseph drank, the paler his face became, yet his lips appeared like a crimson cherry, intensely hot.

Emily Zimmerman stopped, her gaze falling on Joseph Lancaster’s flushed lips, firmly closing her own lips as if hesitating, then cautiously approached, softly kissing Joseph Lancaster’s lips; just as she was about to pull away, her nape was grasped by Joseph Lancaster.

It’s said pregnant women tend to sleep more, but Violet Zimmerman dozed off in a muddle only at dawn.

After Daxton Lancaster fell asleep, she was unable to sleep, staring blankly at the ceiling, her tears had dried up.

She didn’t know if it was due to the alcohol or Daxton Lancaster’s subconscious true thoughts, but no matter the reason, it was too terrifying; Daxton Lancaster after drinking was strange, the usual refined man was suddenly spewing foul language...

When Violet Zimmerman awoke, it was already past eight o’clock, and just as she opened her swollen eyes, her lips received a gentle kiss.

"Morning~" One character, imbued with tenderness, lightly landed and then withdrew.

Violet Zimmerman turned her gaze, meeting Daxton Lancaster’s gentle brows and eyes, his lips bearing a tender curve, looking at her, softly asking, "Last night I drank too much, did I frighten you?"

Violet Zimmerman stared blankly at him, unsure if Daxton Lancaster truly remembered nothing, or intentionally feigned ignorance.

"What’s wrong? Silly girl, why are you looking at me like this?"

Daxton Lancaster lightly poked Violet Zimmerman’s nose, his words carrying an evident fondness.

Violet Zimmerman’s elegant brows knitted tighter, suspiciously watching Daxton Lancaster, as if probing whether he was pretending or genuinely recalled nothing.

A shadow loomed over, Daxton Lancaster kissed Violet Zimmerman’s lips again, tenderly licking and sucking, after a few seconds retreating, their foreheads gently touching, he smiled saying.

"Get up, sleepyhead, today Joseph’s girlfriend’s parents are leaving, after breakfast, I need to go with Joseph to see them off at the station."

Watching Daxton Lancaster’s figure heading toward the bathroom, Violet Zimmerman suddenly felt, maybe he hadn’t forgotten what happened last night, after all, he was so lucid that night, whereas she...

Violet Zimmerman lifted a hand to touch her heavy eyelids, having cried for so long, they must have swollen, so obviously, Daxton Lancaster surely couldn’t miss noticing.

The reason he pretended not to see, was merely a facade of amnesia.

As Violet Zimmerman entered the bathroom, Daxton Lancaster was standing in front of the sink brushing his teeth, he furrowed his brows in confusion upon seeing Violet enter, asking, "Did you cry? Why are your eyes swollen?"

Daxton Lancaster lowered the cup and toothbrush to inspect Violet Zimmerman’s eyes, mouth foam not fully rinsed lingered at the corner of his lips.

Due to Daxton Lancaster’s actions, Violet Zimmerman suddenly believed he truly had forgotten, if it was an act, it couldn’t possibly be so convincing.

"Violet, is it..." Daxton Lancaster furrowed his brow, hesitating before asking cautiously, "Did I do something after getting drunk?"

Daxton Lancaster asked cautiously, the concern in his eyes did not seem fabricated.

At this moment, Violet Zimmerman couldn’t explain her feelings, it felt like being inadvertently slapped, after the slap, the culprit then concernedly asks her, what’s wrong?

Seeing Violet Zimmerman not speaking, Daxton Lancaster further confirmed his thoughts, holding her face, he asked anxiously, "Tell me, was it me? Did I do something disgraceful?"

Violet Zimmerman pressed her lips together, eventually shaking her head, reluctantly pulling up the corners of her mouth, "No, I didn’t sleep well, just swollen."

"Phew... That’s good, that’s good." Daxton Lancaster hugged Violet Zimmerman tightly, breathing a sigh of relief.

Listening to the sigh beside her ear, Violet Zimmerman also secretly sighed, whether he had forgotten or was playing dumb, as long as in the future they live like normal couples, she was satisfied.
