Mr. Grant Treats Me Like a Treasure
Chapter 1051 - 1050: Dare to Dump Me
On the phone, from Serena Sullivan’s tone, it was clear she knew Finn Chandler had gone to the hospital.
"It’s alright, she can handle it herself!"
It was a completely different answer than what Carter Lockwood had said.
Finn had told Carter that Anna Morgan’s situation was dire, making him worry, and as a friend, Carter’s concern for Anna wasn’t enough; what was most needed was Carter’s affection.
He told Serena this to avoid making her worry.
"I don’t think the situation sounds good."
Serena didn’t believe Finn’s words; she had always had a strong analytical ability.
"This isn’t Mrs. Monroe’s first suicide attempt."
This was the second time, what does it indicate!
It indicates that Mr. Monroe hasn’t turned back, indicating that their marriage has reached a breaking point.
If the two of them aren’t well, how could Anna be okay!
"At the hospital, I even ran into Mr. Monroe. He wasn’t there for Mrs. Monroe; he was there with his mistress for a prenatal checkup."
Upon hearing Serena’s guess, Finn didn’t hide it anymore and talked about encountering Mr. Monroe and his mistress at the hospital.
"Anna was furious and picked up a broom to hit Mr. Monroe."
"Anna is impressive."
Serena didn’t think Anna was wrong for hitting Mr. Monroe.
Mr. Monroe’s actions truly broke hearts.
"The crux of the problem is still with Mrs. Monroe."
"My mom wanted to persuade Mrs. Monroe to divorce, then secure the most benefits for herself before the divorce."
It could be said, Mr. Monroe relied on Mrs. Monroe to gain control over The Morgan Family.
Without the support from Mrs. Monroe’s family, he couldn’t have become Mr. Monroe.
"I agree with what Mrs. Ford said."
Serena hadn’t understood Mrs. Ford before, but because of Finn, Serena knew about Mrs. Ford’s character and began to admire her more and more.
"Yes." Finn continued, "In any case, Mr. Monroe was the one who cheated first. Mrs. Monroe should hire a lawyer to get more, possibly even leave empty-handed."
"It might not be that simple," Serena refuted Finn’s response.
"Mr. Monroe is a shrewd businessman."
Why didn’t he divorce earlier or later, but choose to cheat and divorce now?
Is it really because that woman is too beautiful and perfectly to his liking?
No, it’s because he thinks he has control over everything and can cheat.
That woman appeared at the right time, perfectly meeting his requirements.
"And he still wants a divorce!"
Finn asked, puzzled.
"Perhaps he wants to use the idea of divorce to scare Mrs. Monroe, so she would accept this woman and the child in her belly."
As Serena said this, Finn suddenly recalled the start of the matter with Mr. Monroe, where there was no mention of divorce.
He brought his mistress back to The Morgan Family and announced her pregnancy.
Then The Morgan Family was in turmoil.
Recalling the hospital, the words Mr. Monroe told Anna, divorce indeed wasn’t a good option!
Divorce involves the division of property.
Mr. Monroe wanted to keep his wealth and also force Mrs. Monroe to accept his illegitimate child and mistress.
This kind of action among wealthy people is common, like Finn’s father.
Mr. Monroe’s actions make people even angrier.
"Anna, are you afraid Ethan Grant might one day dump you?"
Finn thought of the love-fearing Anna and seriously asked Serena.
"Hasn’t he already dumped me once?"
Serena replied with a smile.
"Besides, if he dares to dump me again, isn’t he afraid of my dad and brother?"
Now Serena has strong backing, only Ethan Grant should be afraid.
Simon Sterling doesn’t like him as a son-in-law who made a mistake.
"Serena, why are you on the phone! Hang up and rest well."
