Chapter 1086 - 1085: Everyone’s Gone Crazy

"Damn it!" Carter Lockwood was pissed off, spat out an expletive, and turned back to the car.

Julian Ford had already settled into the passenger seat as he answered his question. The two of them couldn’t afford to worry about anything else but catching up with Finn Chandler and Anna Morgan.

The road was harder to navigate than Finn had expected. She had driven this road a few years ago when the conditions weren’t as bad as they are now. Due to years of neglect, the dirt alongside had crumbled, making the road progressively narrower, especially at the bends.

Finn watched Anna’s car ahead, seeing it corner and drive to the very edge of the road. After rainy days, the soil was too loose, and she could see the weight and speed of the car causing the dirt to tumble down.

They’re still close to the foot of the mountain, but the higher they go, the more dangerous it gets.

Anna’s usual hobby is acting; she hasn’t raced a car outside.

She’s really crazy!

The more Finn thought about it, the more frightened she became. She accelerated, thinking of stopping Anna.

But at the front, Third Young Master Chambers was mad, flooring the gas pedal, forcing Anna Morgan to speed up as well.

To Anna, Little Treasure was like her own son.

She couldn’t bear for Finn to get hurt, nor did she want Little Treasure to get into trouble.

Furthermore, the current state of The Morgan Family saddened her. Mr. Monroe disgusted her, leading her to adopt a more skeptical attitude towards her entire life.

This chase offered her a chance to throw caution to the wind and fight recklessly.

Realizing that she couldn’t catch up to Anna Morgan, Finn tried to reach her using the watch communication.

For the convenience of tracking the movements of three people, each of them had a watch.

They could also chat all together.

Finn dialed, but Anna didn’t pick up.

Staring at the soil constantly falling ahead, Finn was frantic, pressing her foot harder on the accelerator.

She saw Anna in danger, while Carter Lockwood and Julian Ford saw both her and Anna in danger.

No one knew how this chase would end!

They’re nearing the mountaintop.

Finn saw the two cars ahead slowing down.

The summit was flat, but the distance from one end of the road to the other wasn’t long.

Pushing the gas, counting to ten, they could possibly run off.

Third Young Master Chambers rolled down his window and took out a jade pendant.

Both Anna Morgan and Finn Chandler recognized it as Little Treasure’s.

It was Anna Morgan’s full-month gift to Little Treasure.

"Let’s play a game."

Third Young Master Chambers’ cold voice came through, "I’ll count to three. If you rush over and can stop me, then the little ghost in my car won’t die."

Third Young Master Chambers was indeed a lunatic.

He simply wanted Finn Chandler dead.

He didn’t anticipate Anna Morgan would follow along with Finn Chandler.

It didn’t matter who it was; as long as someone died alongside him, he’d be pleased.

After Third Young Master Chambers finished speaking, Finn Chandler gripped the steering wheel tightly and stared at Third Young Master Chambers’ car.

If rushing over to stop him required sacrifice, it would be Finn, not Anna.

The watch suddenly rang; Finn knew it was Serena Sullivan’s call.

She picked up swiftly.

"What’s going on in your heads!"

Serena Sullivan’s voice was angry and anxious, "Little Treasure isn’t in the car at all!"

"Return immediately, Little Treasure is still in the house."

Serena Sullivan’s words snapped Finn Chandler back to reality. She recalled Fiona Ford turning towards the house door after hearing Julian Ford speak.

Plus, when Julian Ford pulled her back, his gaze was directed at the door behind them.

This meant they were deceived; Little Treasure wasn’t in the car at all.
