Mr. Grant Treats Me Like a Treasure

Chapter 1156 - 1157: Face-Slapping Too Fast

  • Next Chapter

As Riley Preston’s angry voice faded, the banquet hall suddenly buzzed with excitement.

A scene involving a confrontation with Ivy Preston, combined with Riley Preston’s full cooperation, instantly exposed Miles Morgan’s lies.

Miles claimed he and Ivy were innocent; no one ever believed it, and this immediate slap in the face was both quick and hilarious.

"What is Mrs. Monroe? She’s the wife that Miles Morgan married openly, while this girl is just a shameless mistress."

"I really wonder how their parents raised them, producing such shameless beings. If I were their parents, I’d have strangled them right after they were born."

These voices all came from the mouths of the noble ladies.

They’re not men, and cannot accept a man having one woman at home and another outside.

Some tolerate their husbands cheating, but it’s out of helplessness, not willingness.

Now seeing Mrs. Monroe wronged, Miles Morgan’s shamelessness and heartlessness, along with the mistress’s extreme brazenness, which woman watching could endure it!

Unnoticed, the three of them, Miles Morgan, Ivy, and Riley Preston, were surrounded and pointed at.

Miles Morgan wanted his bodyguards to handle the situation, only to find them blocked outside the crowd.

He thought about calling the hotel security, but suddenly remembered it belonged to The Grant Corporation.

He held power for over a decade, yet had never lost face like today.

"Everyone, this is a private matter of the Morgan family."

Having weathered many storms, Miles Morgan realized he couldn’t leave immediately, so he threatened in a calm voice.

"Yes, this is the Morgan family’s business."

Anna Morgan picked up on Mr. Monroe’s words, looking mockingly at her father.

Why hadn’t she realized before that her father had two faces?

"I always believed my father, Mr. Monroe, was the best in my heart. I never imagined he would betray my mom, nor did I think he could be so heartless, shameless, hypocritical, and disgusting!"

Anna Morgan was utterly disheartened with Miles Morgan.

"Anna Morgan!"

Upon hearing Anna’s words, Miles Morgan shouted angrily.

Anna coldly looked at him, unafraid.

Miles could only ask Mrs. Monroe, "Is this how you teach your daughter!"

"Raising someone who doesn’t respect elders and acts so arrogantly!"

With both Miles Morgan and Mrs. Monroe doting on her, Anna Morgan was indeed spoiled.

However, she wasn’t as bad as Miles Morgan claimed.

Mrs. Monroe couldn’t take it anymore. Watching Anna protect her, and thinking about Miles Morgan’s recent flirtation with Ivy, her heart was chills.

"I came over today for one thing."

Mrs. Monroe spoke up, "Miles Morgan, let’s get divorced."

She said it plainly and briefly.

If a man doesn’t care if she lives or dies, why should she stay deluded!

She feared if she truly died, he would only be happily greeting his mistress without concerning himself with dividing the assets.

While she faced trouble, it was Anna and James who would suffer.

Coming to a realization happens in an instant.

After Mrs. Monroe finished speaking, she slowly descended from the stage.

She hadn’t done anything to wrong others, so she held her head high.

Divorce!

Mr. Monroe thought he misheard.

He never imagined Mrs. Monroe and Anna would come to pull such a play.

Divorce was something he had considered; otherwise, he wouldn’t have prepared early to prevent Mrs. Monroe from taking a large portion of the assets.

However, there’s a difference between initiating a divorce and being divorced.

Miles Morgan thought he would propose the divorce, not Mrs. Monroe.
