Mr. Grant Treats Me Like a Treasure

Chapter 1191 - 1192: This Is a Good Thing

"My parents’ birthday celebration is coming up soon."

"Hmm." Ethan Grant thought Carter Lockwood was calling to invite him to the birthday celebration.

"The invitation has been sent to The Grant Corporation, but I can’t make it, so I’ll let my parents go."

Mr. Grant and The Matron Grant were divorced; however, as Mr. Grant’s attitude toward Serena Sullivan changed, The Matron Grant’s relationship with him eased.

The two of them didn’t remarry, but they lived together.

"Hmm." Carter replied, "I know."

"Ethan, there’s something I’m very conflicted about."

For Carter to be conflicted about something, Ethan Grant smiled, "Anna Morgan."

If there’s something that could trouble Carter, who else could it be other than Anna Morgan.

"I heard the two of you are doing well."

Carter didn’t really like talking about his personal matters; when it came to his emotional affairs, they could only observe.

"Hmm!"

Carter admitted.

Being with Anna Morgan was better than he imagined.

"If everything’s good, what’s the problem?"

Carter had already weathered the storm and seen the moon.

He had waited for Anna Morgan for so long, finally being together.

Although he used deceitful means.

"She wants to go public."

"Isn’t that a good thing?"

Anna Morgan wanting to go public meant she had completely accepted Carter.

"You’re really quick this time."

Ethan Grant half-joked, capturing Anna Morgan’s heart so thoroughly.

"Yes, it’s a good thing!" Carter said confidently, "But..."

"Are you afraid Anna Morgan will remember the past?"

Ethan Grant understood.

"Yes!"

Carter replied, "If we go public, and she later remembers that I deceived her, it will definitely bother her."

"Separating again would have a significant impact on her."

"Afraid people will talk about her?"

Ethan Grant continued, questioning Carter, "Carter, not going public won’t affect her, do you think?"

"I think what you should give her now is a sense of security."

"Not going public might make Anna Morgan overthink."

Carter was being great to Anna Morgan but was also afraid to acknowledge their relationship publicly.

If Anna Morgan overthinks, she’ll feel that Carter doesn’t love her enough.

Then there will be a gap between the two of them.

Ethan Grant’s words gave Carter a revelation, "That’s true."

"Carter, your love for her shouldn’t be tied to her past memories."

"I don’t think Anna Morgan will truly hate you if she ever recovers her memory."

Carter wasn’t toying with Anna Morgan’s feelings, he cared too much.

"You should know in your heart what to do." Ethan Grant added.

Carter paused, reflecting on Ethan Grant’s words.

"Actually, there’s nothing much to be conflicted about; memories might come back quickly or might never return."

Carter said softly.

If he waits for Anna Morgan to remember the past before going public, he might wait forever.

Doing so would be equally unfair to Anna Morgan.

The current Anna Morgan already holds him in her heart; she wants a world with him.

What’s there to be conflicted about!

"I’ve figured it out."

The silence from Carter over the phone made Ethan Grant sense it, and he chuckled and said.

"In love, deceit is not permissible, but sometimes, if it’s hard to be honest, it’s better to cherish what you have now."

Overthinking can lead to losing more.

We live in the present, so we should cherish everything we have now.

"Hmm!" Carter responded, just as he was about to hang up, hurried footsteps could be heard from the other end.

"Mr. Grant, Mrs. Grant is going into labor."

Ethan Grant was momentarily stunned when he heard the nurse coming out of the ward.
