Mr. Grant Treats Me Like a Treasure

Chapter 1193 - 1194: Interested in Anna

  • Next Chapter

Old Mrs. Lockwood has always been very fond of Anna Morgan.

The young girl is beautiful, interesting, and straightforward, and she’s not one to cry at the drop of a hat.

The more Old Mrs. Lockwood looks at her, the more she likes her.

"Anna, take this invitation,"

Old Mrs. Lockwood pulled an invitation from her pocket and handed it to Anna Morgan, who was a little stunned.

The Lockwood Family’s birthday banquet; Carter Lockwood said she would definitely be attending.

However, it seemed there was no invitation.

In the past, when invited to banquets, other families sent invitations to the Morgan Family.

Miles Morgan was seeking a divorce from Mrs. Monroe, and when invitations were sent to the Morgan Family, Miles wouldn’t take Mrs. Monroe and Anna along.

Old Mrs. Lockwood had considered this, and when she saw Zoe Quinn earlier today, heard her mention Anna Morgan, she decided to personally deliver the invitation.

"You must come to my birthday celebration."

Old Mrs. Lockwood added.

"Mmhmm!"

Anna Morgan nodded without hesitation.

"Auntie, I will come."

"Great!" Old Mrs. Lockwood was pleased and noticed that Anna was wearing a costume, knowing she had scenes to shoot later, so she didn’t disturb her further.

"Anna, you’re busy, I’ll be going now."

Old Mrs. Lockwood turned to leave, while Zoe Quinn felt uncomfortable knowing she had come specifically to the set to deliver the invitation to Anna, but still followed her out.

Sean Lockwood was no help; Zoe Quinn could only try to win over Old Mrs. Lockwood herself, hoping to one day enter the Lockwood Family.

After leaving the set, Zoe Quinn asked in confusion, "Grandma, Mr. Monroe is divorcing Mrs. Monroe. If they get divorced, wouldn’t it have a negative impact on Anna?"

"Are you trying to say, without the Morgan Family, why should I bother pleasing Anna?"

Old Mrs. Lockwood was wise; she wouldn’t be blinded by someone’s flattery.

"Anna is so wonderful, she definitely deserves to be pleased."

Old Mrs. Lockwood added.

She invited not only Anna Morgan but also many other young ladies from various families.

But she wasn’t familiar with those other girls.

The most familiar one was Anna Morgan, who was originally meant to be matched with Sean Lockwood.

Sean insisted on Zoe Quinn, and regrettably, she couldn’t have Anna as part of the family.

For so long, she lamented not being able to have Anna enter the Morgan Family’s door.

Since she wanted to find a wife for Carter Lockwood at the banquet, why not try to match Anna Morgan with Carter?

The Lockwood and Morgan Families have always had a good relationship, and Anna could be considered someone Carter watched grow up.

"Grandma, are you planning to have Anna marry Uncle Carter?"

Zoe Quinn asked in astonishment.

She saw Old Mrs. Lockwood give her a slight smile and tried to persuade her, "That might not be a good idea."

"Anna and Sean, they..."

"What about her and Sean?" Old Mrs. Lockwood asked with a cold smile, "There’s nothing between the two of them."

"Anna is someone I have my eye on."

"You are not!"

With another dismissive remark to Zoe Quinn, her face turned sour.

"Grandma!"

Zoe Quinn called out in grievance, tears not yet falling as Old Mrs. Lockwood gave her a sidelong glance and got into the car.

Zoe Quinn’s tears only worked on Sean Lockwood in the Lockwood Family; everyone else could see right through her demeanor.

Old Mrs. Lockwood was polite to her for Sean Lockwood’s sake.

Zoe Quinn watched the Lockwood Family car drive away, anxious about Old Mrs. Lockwood’s plan to match Anna with Carter.

She recalled what Sean mentioned before, that Carter used to treat Zoe Quinn differently.

With Old Mrs. Lockwood in the midst of it, there’s a chance they might end up together.
