Mr. Grant Treats Me Like a Treasure

Chapter 1195: Not Worthy of My Idol

  • Next Chapter

“Your marriage is not something to be taken lightly.”

The other party is unknown, but Anna refuses to say anything, leaving her parents anxious.

“Mom, let’s deal with your divorce first.”

Anna Morgan replied, “Don’t worry about my matters.”

“Don’t worry!” Eldest Master Monroe raised his voice, “Anna, you casually found a man to marry, how can we not worry!”

“Who says I’m casual! He’s definitely the best!”

“Heh.” Eldest Master Monroe didn’t believe Anna Morgan could find any decent man.

Their family’s genetics are all here; genetics determine one’s taste.

Considering his and Miles Morgan’s poor taste in women, how good could Anna’s choice be?

As Eldest Master Monroe pondered, he raised his head and saw the Lockwood Family at the entrance of the banquet hall, leading him to think of Carter Lockwood.

“Anna, if you could find a man like Uncle Carter, then we’d be relieved!”

Eldest Master Monroe was certain in his heart that Carter Lockwood wouldn’t be interested in his sister.

Upon hearing this, Anna Morgan turned her head and spent a few extra seconds looking at her brother.

“Carter doesn’t have a partner?”

Mrs. Monroe interjected.

She was somewhat familiar with Felix Lockwood’s family, but Carter always wore a stern expression that was intimidating, so she seldom greeted him.

Besides, she had been busy with her and Miles’ matters recently, having no time to worry about others’.

“Probably…”

Anna Morgan aimed to indirectly tell Mrs. Monroe that Carter Lockwood had a partner.

It was her daughter!

Before finishing the words “he does,” Eldest Master Monroe chimed in.

“Of course not.”

“If he did, why would there be so many young ladies at today’s birthday feast?”

“Look, out of the Lockwood family present, half of them are marriageable girls.”

“I think the Lockwoods are anxious about Carter’s marriage, and they want to find him a partner at this birthday party.”

Eldest Master Monroe’s remark received Mrs. Monroe’s agreement.

“It certainly seems so.”

“Carter’s not young, if he doesn’t get married, the Lockwood Family is unsettled.”

A leader without marriage and children? How could the extended family not be tempted?

Though Felix Lockwood was expelled from the family, if Sean Lockwood gets married and Zoe Quinn gets pregnant, wouldn’t inappropriate ideas start brewing?

“Yes.” Anna Morgan agreed, then looked at Mrs. Monroe and called softly, “Mom.”

“A couple of days ago, Old Mrs. Lockwood came to the film set to invite me to the birthday banquet.”

“What do you think that means?”

Anna Morgan mentioned this deliberately, intending to give Mrs. Monroe and Eldest Master Monroe a hint about her and Carter’s impending announcement to avoid shocking them.

“Sending you an invitation?”

Mrs. Monroe frowned at Anna Morgan’s words.

“Does this mean she wants you to consider Carter?”

The Lockwood’s intentions for this birthday feast are all too clear.

“How could that be!” Eldest Master Monroe immediately interrupted Mrs. Monroe’s speculation.

“Mom, Old Mrs. Lockwood now wants to bring any girl home as a daughter-in-law whenever she sees one.”

“She used to like our Anna a lot. When Anna didn’t end up with Sean, she thought of matching Anna with Uncle Carter.”

Eldest Master Monroe explained, “It’s perfectly normal.”

“Anna, don’t worry.” Eldest Master Monroe assured Anna Morgan seriously, “No matter whom Uncle Carter takes a fancy to, it won’t be you!”

“Why not!”

Eldest Master Monroe’s words left Anna Morgan quite dissatisfied.

What do you mean by saying she doesn’t match up!

“Anna.” Seeing Anna Morgan glaring at him angrily, Eldest Master Monroe calmed his mind, “Not to mention the age gap with Carter, your temper is a bit off.”

Nobody knew his sister’s nature better than Eldest Master Monroe.

Pampered and willful!
