He had never imagined that the person who killed the Comedian, sent Rorschach to prison, drove Doctor Manhattan away, and plunged the world into the threat of nuclear war would be Ozymandias!

At that moment, he finally understood why Edward had said that everything was a joke!

Ozymandias had been the strategist of the Watchmen and their unofficial leader!

Silk Spectre, who stood beside him, was also rendered speechless by the truth.

Adrian had already put on his former costume and stood upon a raised platform, while a group of people dressed in white suits gathered below him.

Each of them held a glass filled with amber-colored champagne.

At that moment, one of them spoke with a broad smile:

"Congratulations, Mr. Veidt!"

"It was your support and passion that led us to this victory."

"Now, on behalf of the entire research team, we raise our glasses to you."

"The reactor designed by Doctor Manhattan is now fully operational. Clean energy has become a reality."

As his words fell, everyone dressed in white raised their heads and drained their glasses in a toast!

Ozymandias held his own glass of champagne and revealed a satisfied smile at the sight.

He nodded slightly.

"Indeed. Is there anything in life that is not worth celebrating?"

"This place will become the new Karnak, the center of worship for the sun god Amun."

"It represents the culmination of more than two thousand years of human achievement. Thanks to your assistance, this dream has finally been realized."

"And for that..."

The smile disappeared from his face. A cold light emerged in his eyes as he continued quietly:

"I regret to announce that your reward will not match the value of your contributions."

"As in the age of the pharaohs, every secret was buried beneath the golden sands along with the loyal servants entrusted with protecting it."

"Rest in peace, gentlemen."

"The new world of peace will be grateful for your noble sacrifice."

By this point, everyone who had been standing before him had already been poisoned!

Their corpses lay scattered across the floor, forever unable to reveal another secret.

Tony became even more confused.

Had Ozymandias done all of this so that he could monopolize the profits from clean energy?

But was that truly worth going this far?

"We once joked that he was fast enough to dodge bullets. Out there in the snow, he could easily kill both Nite Owl and me."

"We are heading to Antarctica now."

"So whether I am alive or dead by the time you read this, I hope the world survives long enough for this journal to reach you."

"I have never compromised in my life."

"I enter the darkness prepared to die, without regret."

"Rorschach. November 1st."

As his voice faded, the sound of an object being dropped into something could be heard, followed by retreating footsteps.

At the top of the Veidt Enterprises skyscraper.

Adrian revealed a surprised expression.

He had not expected this potentially fatal accident to come from Rorschach.

Sure enough, there was no such thing as a perfect plan.

However, none of it mattered anymore.

All he could do now was gamble on that unchangeable future.

The scene lit up once again, returning to Mars.

Silk Spectre finally reached her limit and erupted. She accused Doctor Manhattan of having no humanity and of standing by while mankind approached extinction through nuclear war!

Doctor Manhattan did not become angry.

To him, there was no absolute right or wrong in the world. There were only different perspectives.

And everyone possessed a weakness they were unwilling to confront.

After saying this, he raised his hand and forced Laurie to recall fragments of her past!

When those dark memories were finally assembled, a horrifying truth emerged.

She was the Comedian's daughter!

When the memories ended, Silk Spectre collapsed onto her knees in agony, her heart feeling as though it had been torn apart. She felt that her entire existence was nothing more than a joke!

Furious that Doctor Manhattan had shown her this truth, she began striking the clock tower before her again and again!

In the next second, an astonishing scene occurred!

The miraculous structure that should have been indestructible began to collapse!
