Chapter 329: Executing the Final Combat Mission, This Unit Is Ordered to Self-Destruct

Chapter 329: Chapter 329: Executing the Final Combat Mission, This Unit Is Ordered to Self-Destruct

The firepower output of the T3 Phoenix-class Starfighters and T3 Fire Phoenix-class Heavy Star Stealth Bombers once again cleared a large swath of Swarm Units and advanced the front line further!

By this time, the ammunition of the T3 Phoenix-class Starfighters and T3 Fire Phoenix-class Heavy Star Stealth Bombers was nearly exhausted.

Now, they yielded their positions to their ’comrades.’

The T3 Black Phoenix-class Medium Star Drones surged past the T3 Phoenix-class Starfighters and T3 Fire Phoenix-class Heavy Star Stealth Bombers, taking the lead.

At incredible speeds, they took over the task of clearing a path for the fleet from the T3 Phoenix-class Starfighters and T3 Fire Phoenix-class Heavy Star Stealth Bombers.

The T3 Blizzard and T3 Phantom Sting followed closely behind!

Pei Shengnan watched the T3 Black Phoenix-class Medium Star Drones whizzing past her. Even though she knew they were unmanned, she still saluted these Stellar Drones.

She was bidding farewell to these special comrades.

Pei Shengnan and the others had completed their mission and began their Return to Base.

The T3 Black Phoenix-class Medium Star Drones that took over the mission executed their combat duties flawlessly, clearing the route for the following T3 Blizzard and T3 Phantom Sting.

This allowed the T3 Blizzard and T3 Phantom Sting to advance at breakneck speed!

"T3 Black Phoenix Unit 1320, ammunition nearly depleted. Executing final combat mission. This unit is ordered to self-destruct." A mechanical voice announced.

A T3 Black Phoenix Unit 1320, its ammunition spent, did not return to base. Instead, it abruptly accelerated, breaking away from the entire drone formation.

At the forefront of the formation, it plunged headlong into the Swarm and self-destructed, taking out a cluster of Swarm Units with it!

In truth, even before this sortie, this had been designated as their final combat mission.

During their last resupply on the mothership, self-destruct devices had been installed in their airframes.

Once their ammunition was exhausted, they would use their own bodies to continue clearing the path for the fleet behind them!

Ten Units...

Fifty Units...

One hundred Units...

Three hundred Units...

More and more explosions lit up the void. On the T3 Phoenix-class Heavy Carrier Starship, the status indicators for more and more T3 Black Phoenixes turned black.

A Female Soldier on the bridge responsible for the Stellar Drones had red, swollen eyes.

For some reason, even though she knew these Stellar Drones were lifeless machines—expendable and replaceable in the future—witnessing these unwavering suicide attacks touched her heart. It was painful... an indescribable ache...

Through these actions, by the time the over two thousand T3 Black Phoenix-class Medium Star Drones were expended, the T3 Blizzard and T3 Phantom Sting had closed the distance to the T4 Zerg Nest Mothership to just one-third of the original gap.

"Bai Xue!" Zhao Chen shouted at this moment.

T3 Lion King-class Heavy Star Missile Ship No. 1 · Bridge

The wolf-girl Bai Xue’s eyes were bloodshot with excitement. She roared, "Fire!"

From the five T3 Lion King-class Heavy Star Missile Ships, 2,500 T2 Lion King-class interstellar missiles were launched at incredible speed, catching up to the T3 Blizzard and T3 Phantom Sting ahead.

They even streaked past right beside these two starship types.

Bursts of explosive flames blanketed the Swarm in front of the T3 Blizzard and T3 Phantom Sting.

Consecutive explosions devoured the Swarm in that area.

The sight made Bai Xue’s face flush with excitement: "So beautiful..."

After this wave of Stellar Missiles struck first despite launching later.

Charlotte aboard the T3 Blizzard-class Light Interstellar Battlecruiser Number One Ship could faintly glimpse the silhouette of the opposing T4 Zerg Nest Mothership through the deep-space telescope, along with hundreds of T4 Guardian-class Leviathans.

"Wan’er, it’s our turn now," Charlotte muttered.

Zhao Wan’er aboard the T3 Phantom Sting Number One Ship declared solemnly, "Phantom Stinger Squad ready!"

Twenty Blizzard-class Light Interstellar Battlecruisers advanced with star shields raised, covering the five T3 Phantom Sting-class Light Interstellar Stealth Bombers behind them as they accelerated!

They plunged into the lingering smoke of the explosions.

The twenty T3 Blizzard-class Light Interstellar Battlecruisers unleashed their main and secondary cannons at full firepower, Stellar Missiles poured forth, and all Blizzard Stellar Drones were deployed.

"Report! Detected five T3 Nest Motherships approaching our starships!" a crew member reported.

Charlotte observed the five energy signals displayed on the starship radar.

"Two ships per target, eliminate them!"

"Yes!"

The T3 Blizzard-class Light Interstellar Battlecruisers paired off, their bow cannons locking onto their respective T3 Nest Mothership targets.

With the firing of ten beam lasers, the five T3 Nest Motherships soon vanished from the starship radar.

"Wan’er! Now!" Charlotte checked their position; they were now very close to the T4 Zerg Nest Mothership, with only a small number of Swarm units and those T4 Guardian-class Leviathans remaining in between!

"Phantom Stinger Squad, attack!" Zhao Wan’er commanded.

The five T3 Phantom Sting-class Light Interstellar Stealth Bombers began deploying their Stellar Torpedoes, Stellar Bombs, and Stellar Missiles.

Their targets were the Swarm units and T4 Guardian-class Leviathans blocking the path to the T4 Zerg Nest Mothership ahead!

The T3 Blizzard-class Light Interstellar Battlecruiser fleet also poured all their firepower onto those T4 Guardian-class Leviathans.

Bow cannons and main cannons fired one after another.

One by one, T4 Guardian-class Leviathans perished in explosions.

"Report, Phantom Sting 04 has completed bomb deployment!"

"Report, Phantom Sting 03 has completed bomb deployment!"

"Report, Phantom Sting..."

The five T3 Phantom Sting-class Light Interstellar Stealth Bombers quickly exhausted their entire ammunition load.

"Evade immediately!" Charlotte didn’t have time to assess the effectiveness of this attack wave, immediately leading the T3 Blizzard ships to cover the T3 Phantom Sting vessels as they veered sideways to evade.

Because at that moment, six terrifying beams of light were already primed and ready to fire from behind their fleet!

Three T4 Boreas-class Heavy Interstellar Battleships lined up side by side, each equipped with two bow heavy cannons, aimed at the ’path’ the Blizzard fleet had cleared earlier, which was not yet re-covered by the Swarm.

"Fire!" Chu Xuan gave the command to fire.

The three T4 Boreas-class Heavy Interstellar Battleships fired almost simultaneously.

The sight was nothing short of spectacular!

Six beams of light, like divine miracles, raced at incredible speed toward the vicinity of the T4 Zerg Nest Mothership.

In the previous wave of attacks, the few remaining dozens of T4 Guardian-class Leviathans attempted to block the assault with their own bodies, but it was like a mantis trying to stop a chariot—utterly ineffective.

The T4 Zerg Nest Mothership sensed the danger and began releasing large quantities of unknown spores from both sides of its body. These spores exploded, generating energy shockwaves in an attempt to neutralize the incoming attacks.

The terrifying cyclones produced by the bombardment scattered the surrounding Swarm, while those closer to the blast were incinerated to ashes by the intense heat.

Zhao Chen, Chu Xuan, Charlotte, and even Xu Yifan, who was fighting desperately on the Stargate Defense Line, were all watching this scene unfold.
