Chapter 172: Threads of Fate and Ancient Secrets

Amelia scoffed loudly, crossing her arms tight under her massive chest, making her full breasts spill over her dark dress.

"Don’t misinterpret me, Celestial! I was interested in him at first because I thought he was just a once in a century talent, a super, genius who was going to bring glory to my academy and help us sweep the tournament.

But the more I look into his records and his recent displays, the more off everything feels."

A dangerous, predatory smile stretched across Amelia’s bloody red lips.

"It’s actually quite amusing," Amelia purred, her white eyes flashing with a dark, imperial light.

"I feel like dragging that boy right into this office, tying him down, splitting his entire body open, and properly dissecting his soul layer by layer to see what he’s hiding or why you an Eternal Blessed can’t even peek into his future."

Celestial shook her head, laughing gently at her friend’s typical violent nature. "Don’t worry. You won’t have the chance to do that."

Amelia blinked. "Maybe. But that’s precisely why I suggested talking to my brother first. I’m sure he must have noticed something strange about the boy’s explosive growth as well. Knowing my brother and how his calculating mind works.

If he finds out how special Lynx is, he won’t outright kill him. He’ll try to recruit Lynx into his personal Imperial Shadow Force instead. You know him... always planning for the ’absolute future and supreme glory’ of the Aether Empire."

"Yes, I know how your brother operates," Celestial replied, her smile fading slightly. "But that is not why I said you won’t have the chance to split him open."

Amelia raised an eyebrow. "Oh? Then why?"

"And I also know what you are truly worried about in that head of yours," Celestial added smoothly, completely bypassing Amelia’s question.

"You are worried about what happens if Lynx decides to abandon us and join one of the other empires instead."

Amelia didn’t deny it. She leaned back, resting her hands flat on the desk. "Isn’t it obvious? Lynx is currently sitting right in the heart of the Void Empire’s capital. Even though the tournament is just getting started, his ridiculous strength and absurd looks have already caught the intense interest of the high lords from the other three empires.

They are going to throw mountains of gold, territory, and elite women at him to get him to switch sides. Or worse... they might try to outright kidnap him."

Amelia’s white eyes narrowed into cold, lethal slits.

"And you know how those crazy bastards in the Heather Empire operate," Amelia muttered softly. "If they get their hands on a kid with five affinities or perhaps more... cause I believe he has more than the usual 5 affinity he lets us see... and abnormal soul traits, they won’t even try to recruit him.

They’ll just drag him straight to their underground laboratories and turn him into a bloody lab rat. I am not going to let those savages ruin a student from my academy."

"Relax, Amelia," Celestial said softly, her voice filled with a calm, comforting power. "That will not happen. No one is going to kidnap him, and no one is turning him into a lab rat."

The two ancient powerhouses fell silent for a short while, letting the heavy weight of their conversation settle into the air.

Outside the high marble windows of Amelia’s office, the distant sky of the Aether Empire was beginning to darken into dusk, but inside, time seemed to stand completely still.

After taking another slow sip of her cold coffee, Amelia leaned back and swiped her hPad screen once more, pulling up the match footage of Lynx’s close circle.

"Speaking of that boy..." Amelia started, her tone shifting slightly, "have you noticed what Lynx has been doing to those girls who are constantly glued to his side?"

On Celestial’s side of the screen, the Saintess adjusted her posture slightly, her golden eyes flashing with a subtle light. "I have. When those girls came to the main church cathedral to receive their official tournament blessings ten days ago, I felt their soul signatures. Comparing their current soul energy from the broadcast to what they had back then... the difference is staggering."

"Right?" Amelia said, pointing a dark-gloved finger at the screen showing Ava and Kira completely annihilating their Phase 1 targets.

"Their souls and physical bodies are growing stronger at a ridiculously fast, unnatural rate. It makes zero sense."

Celestial rested her chin on her hand, looking thoughtful. "Honestly, I do not know how he is achieving it. Even if he were engaging in top tier dual cultivation techniques with them every single night, dual cultivation alone would not strengthen their souls and physical foundations at such a massive, hyper stable rate without causing any core instability."

Amelia leaned all the way back into her high backed chair, sighing softly as she stared at the glowing ceiling.

"This Lynx kid..." Amelia muttered, shaking her head. "I am definitely going to have a long, very strict word with him the second he sets foot back in this academy. He’s causing too many headaches. Even Rose has completely fallen for him."

Celestial smiled warmly at the mention of the red haired professor. "Certainly. I still find it hard to believe how easily Rose fell for a student. She used to be so cold and distant toward everyone."

Amelia snorted, waving her hand dismissively. "Please. Rose acts like a tough, unshakeable woman on the outside, but inside? She’s basically just a soft, confused kid.

She never had a proper romantic experience in her entire life because she was too busy swinging her blazing hands and beating up people who annoyed her."

She continued "Lynx probably just looked at her with those mesmerizing eyes of his, said a few smooth words, and her brain completely melted."

Celestial nodded in gentle agreement. "Well, to be completely fair to Rose... Lynx’s physical beauty is well beyond perfection. It is almost divine."

Amelia paused, turning her head slowly to stare directly at the screen. "I know, right?! It’s actually absurd! How does a guy even look like that?"

Amelia threw her hands up in exasperation, her massive chest bouncing under her dress.

"I have lived for many centuries Celestial!"

Amelia continued loudly. "I have seen royal princes, strong champions, self proclaimed holy gods, and the most handsome Blessed men across the four human empires, and the vast world of Aetherion.

But Not a single one of them comes anywhere near that boy’s face! I still can’t wrap my head around how he ended up with looks like that!"

Celestial chuckled softly at her friend’s rare outburst. "He is quite decent in his behavior as well. Even though almost every female student in your academy is openly or secretly fawning over him day and night, he maintains a surprisingly tight, selective circle. He hasn’t turned into a mindless, wild beast chasing after every skirt he sees."

Amelia’s dark smirk returned instantly. She leaned her face right up to the camera lens, her pupil less white eyes narrowing in deep suspicion.

"Oh ho?" Amelia purred teasingly. "Look at you, my dear Mother Saintess! Complementing a young male student so warmly? What’s this? Have you finally decided to join the long line of women waiting for him?"

Celestial let out a clean, airy laugh, completely unbothered by the accusation. "Of course not. Do not be ridiculous, Amelia. I am the Saintess of the Holy Church of Goddess Shiva. My heart belongs to the her light."

"Riiight," Amelia drawled sarcastically. "Sure it does."

"However..." Celestial added, her voice dropping into a softer, more mysterious tone.

"While I could not see his personal future or peek into the core of his soul, my divine sight was still able to catch a few faint, shimmering threads of fate connected to his body."

The moment those words left Celestial’s mouth, Amelia’s playful attitude vanished. She leaned her entire upper body straight toward the screen, her dark coat sliding completely off one shoulder.

"Go on," Amelia commanded softly. "I’m listening."

Celestial looked directly into Amelia’s eyes through the magic screen, a faint, deeply amused smile gracing her holy features.

"One of the thickest, most prominent threads of fate connected to Lynx..." Celestial said slowly, "...leads directly to you."

The room fell dead silent.

Amelia’s mind completely stalled. For three straight seconds, her sharp, imperial brain completely stopped processing information.

"What...?" Amelia whispered, her pupil less eyes blinking rapidly. "What is that supposed to mean?"

Celestial couldn’t hold back her amusement anymore. She let out a beautiful, ringing laugh that echoed through the hPad speakers.

"It means exactly what it sounds like, my dear Headmistress," Celestial said, her eyes twinkling with pure mischief. "According to the subtle threads of fate, you are highly likely to become one of his women in the future. In fact, that boy is destined to hold a massive harem of the absolute strongest powerhouses on this continent... and you are right there in the center of it."

"HA!"

Amelia burst into a loud, frantic laugh, waving her hand violently in front of her face as if trying to swat away a fly.

"You’ve lost your mind!" Amelia declared loudly, her cheeks flushing with a sudden, uncontrollable surge of dark heat.

"I think having your mana drained like that for the first time in centuries has completely fried your ancient brain cells, Celestial! Me? With a eighteen year old student? That is the most absurd, ridiculous garbage I have ever heard come out of your mouth!"

Amelia stood up from her chair, pacing back and forth behind her desk with aggressive steps, her high heels clicking loudly against the marble floor.

"If I see that kid..."
