Chapter 239 Kicked Out Four Times, Accepted Once

"Professor Jace," Lynx offered a calm, polite smile. He was being respectful. "Just here to sit in on the lightning lecture. I promise I will be quiet and not disturb anyone."

"No," Jace said firmly, not hesitating for a single second. "Your lightning comprehension is already beyond the curriculum of this academy.

Having you sit in this room serves zero educational purpose for you, and it distorts the learning environment for everyone else. Look at them. They are not focusing."

Jace looked at Ava and Eira, who were both pouting openly at him. They were making sad faces.

"I remember the trial, Lynx," Jace added, his tone softening slightly, though his pride remained guarded.

There was no hate in his voice, just respect mixed with a bruised ego. "You don’t need my lectures. You already beat me. Leave my class. Go rest somewhere else."

Lynx looked at Ava and Eira, giving them an amused shrug. His shoulders went up and down. "Looks like I’m banned here too, girls. See you at lunch. Save me a seat with food."

Eira groaned loudly, resting her chin on her desk dramatically, while Ava blew him a tiny, hidden kiss as he turned around and walked out into the hallway. Jace watched him leave and then sighed quietly.

Four classes. Four rejections. A new record even for Lynx.

Having been kicked out of four different affinity classes, Lynx walked down the sweeping marble corridors toward the Wind Affinity Building. The corridors were long and wide.

The floor was made of white marble that shone. The walls had big windows that let in sunlight. The sun made the floor shine. He was walking slowly now. He was laughing to himself. It was kind of funny.

Four professors had kicked him out in one morning. He had never been kicked out that many times before. Even his friends would laugh.

He put his hands in his pockets as he walked. Students were passing him in the hallway. They were looking at him and whispering. Some girls stopped to take pictures. He just nodded and smiled and kept walking.

He reached the Wind Affinity Building. The building was tall and had many windows. The wind was blowing around the building. Papers were flying a little outside. He could hear the wind howling softly.

He slid open the door to the Year 2 Wind lecture hall, stepping inside with a relaxed posture. He opened the door slowly and quietly. The room inside was bright.

The windows were open. The curtains were moving because of the wind mana. The air inside was fresh and cool. Papers on desks were fluttering slightly.

At the front of the room stood Professor Mira, a stunning woman with bright blonde hair tied in a loose ponytail, soft features, and big, expressive black eyes that radiated a cheerful, energetic charm.

Her blonde hair was shiny. Her ponytail swayed when she moved. Her black eyes were big and bright.

She was currently writing wind flow equations on the floating digital board. The board was glowing blue and white. Her handwriting was neat and bubbly. She was writing fast.

When the door opened, Professor Mira turned around, her big black eyes widening in surprise as she saw Lynx standing at the entrance. Her pen stopped in mid air. She looked surprised but happy.

"Well, well," Mira blinked, holding her digital pen in mid-air. Her voice was cheerful and bright.

"If it isn’t the famous Lynx Azarion. To what do I owe the honor of having the academy’s top student in my humble class? You have never attended a class... except Rose’s class."

The wind students in the room turned immediately, whispering excitedly as Lira, sitting near the middle row, flushed a bright crimson, her green eyes wide as she stared at Lynx.

Lira was wearing her Year 2 uniform. Her green eyes were shining. Her face became red very fast. She nearly knocked her textbook off her desk when she turned. She had to catch it quickly.

Lynx walked down the center aisle, putting on a helpless, deeply dramatic expression. He made his face look very sad and tired, like a lost puppy. He even sighed loudly.

"Please, Professor Mira," Lynx said, his voice smooth and pleading as he looked up at her podium. His voice was soft and a little dramatic.

"You have to let me stay. Every single professor in this academy has thrown me out of their class today. Rose, Selene, Brutus, Jace... none of them will let me sit down. You’re my last hope. If you kick me out too, I’ll have to sit in the hallway like a lost dog. I have nowhere else to go."

The entire class erupted into bright, hearty laughter! Everyone laughed loudly. Some students clapped.

Some were holding their stomachs because they were laughing so hard. Even Lira giggled behind her hand, even though she was still blushing.

Professor Mira burst out laughing too, covering her mouth with her hand, her black eyes sparkling with genuine amusement. Her laugh was soft and musical. She was laughing so hard her shoulders were shaking.

"They kicked you out?!" Mira giggled, shaking her head in disbelief. She put her hand on her hip. "Well, I can’t say I blame them. You’re a walking distraction, Azarion! Look at my girls, they are already not focusing because of you. But fine... since you’re begging so politely, and since you look so pitiful, I’ll let you stay. Take a seat before I change my mind. But you have to behave."

"Thank you, Professor," Lynx smirked, his sad face disappearing instantly and becoming a charming smile. He stepped over to the middle row and slipped smoothly into the empty seat right beside Lira. The seat was empty and warm from the sun.

Lira’s face turned completely red. Her whole face was red like an apple. "L-Lynx... you actually came to wind affinity class?" she whispered, her voice trembling slightly with happy embarrassment.

She was whispering very quietly so only he could hear. "I thought you would skip here too. You have come to wind affinity class."

"Had to find somewhere to rest," Lynx whispered back with a warm wink, making Lira bury her face in her notebook.

Her ears were red too. She was hiding her face but she was smiling. She was very happy he sat next to her.

A few moments later, a quiet rustle of clothes came from the aisle.

Raven, a quiet, striking Year 2 girl with dark hair and sharp features, stood up from her desk near the front of the room. She moved shyly and careful, trying not to draw attention to herself, and slid into the empty desk right on Lynx’s other side.

She moved so silently that most of the class didn’t even notice. She was wearing her uniform neatly. Her dark hair was straight and shiny. Her eyes were dark and sharp.

Lynx turned his head, looking at Raven with an amused, curious expression. He was surprised to see her.

"Hey, Raven. Aren’t you supposed to be in the Earth Affinity class right now?" Lynx whispered.

Raven flushed slightly, her fingers fidgeting with her pen as she looked at him timidly. Her fingers were thin and she was playing with her pen nervously.

"Um... my understanding of earth affinity is already decent, but my wind flow comprehension is really lacking compared to it... I needed this class more today. So I... I switched," Raven whispered. Her voice was very quiet and soft. "And... I knew you were coming here... so I wanted to come too."

Lynx looked at her, admiring her quiet dedication and sharp focus. He liked how honest she was. "That’s smart. Understanding your weak points is how you actually get stronger. Most people only train what they are already good at. They ignore their weak points. You are different."

Raven’s eyes brightened, a tiny, rare smile touching her lips. She looked down at her notebook, happy. "Thank you, Lynx... That means a lot."

Up at the podium, Professor Mira tapped her pen against the digital board, looking down at Lynx with a playful, teasing smile. She had her arms crossed now.

"Now then, Azarion," Mira said, raising one eyebrow. Her eyebrow went up high. "Since you’re gracing us with your presence, perhaps you’d like to explain the relationship between wind vector pressure and spatial friction for the class? Let’s see if the famous genius actually studied or just skipped."

Lynx leaned back in his chair, chuckling smoothly, completely relaxed. He put his hands behind his head.

"Professor Mira, I came here to listen to your sweet voice, not to take a pop quiz on five minutes of sleep. I’m running on caffeine and spite right now. I woke up at 4 AM," Lynx said.

The classroom broke into another wave of laughter. Lira laughed so hard she had to cover her mouth. Raven also laughed quietly. The whole class was laughing.

Mira shook her head, laughing along with them as her cheeks warmed slightly under his charm. Her cheeks became a little pink. "Alright, smooth talker. You win this time. Pay attention to the board then. No sleeping in my class, okay? I will throw chalk at you."

"Yes, Professor," Lynx said, sitting up straight like a good student.

For the next hour, the lecture went on smoothly. Lynx listened attentively, occasionally leaning over to help Lira correct her formula notes or giving Raven a quick tip on wind circulation that made her eyes light up with understanding.

He was actually a good teacher when he wanted to be. He explained things in simple words that were easy to understand.

Mira was writing equations on the board. She was explaining wind flow and pressure and how wind moves around obstacles.

Sometimes she asked questions and students answered. Lynx answered one question and he answered it correctly and quickly. Mira was impressed, he was really a genuis.

Lira was writing notes fast. Her handwriting was neat but she made some mistakes because she was very excited sitting next to Lynx. Lynx leaned over and pointed at her mistake gently.

"Here, this vector should be negative, not positive. See? The wind is going the other way," he whispered to her.

"Oh! Right! Thank you!" Lira whispered back, fixing it quickly. Her face was red again.

Raven was also taking notes. She was quiet but she was listening very carefully. When Lynx gave her a tip, she nodded and wrote it down immediately.

"You need to make your wind flow more circular here, not straight. Like this," Lynx whispered to Raven, drawing a small circle on her notebook.

Raven’s eyes lit up. "Ah! I see! That makes sense! Thank you!"

When the bell finally rang, signaling the end of the morning sessions, the students began packing up their bags and heading out toward the cafeteria, chatting loudly and happily. The room became noisy again.

Lynx turned to Lira and Raven. "You girls go ahead and grab a table. I’ll catch up with you in a minute. I need to talk to Professor Mira about something."

Lira and Raven nodded sweetly, heading out the door together while Lynx walked down to the front podium where Professor Mira was gathering her digital files.
