Even Flynn Hughes, who normally wasn’t afraid of anything, was sitting there at this moment, silently watching Noah Drexler’s expression, not daring to say a word.

But... just as the atmosphere was tense to the extreme and no one even dared to breathe too loudly...

the door of the conference room was suddenly knocked from outside.

...

— Knock knock!

...

The sound of knocking startled everyone; they all thought it was probably some junior staff coming to deliver tea.

At the same time, some secretly rejoiced that finally there was a scapegoat walking right in!

Sure enough... the moment he heard the knock, Noah’s expression grew even darker, and the anger that was ready to explode was instantly triggered!

Click... the conference room door was pushed open from the outside.

"Get out!"

A furious shout exploded!

With that shout, he flung the remaining documents at his side hard toward the doorway.

Summer Shawcross, who was just coming in carrying a lunch box, was caught completely off guard and got a whole stack of files thrown into her face.

Her body froze; she stood there at the door, her face utterly blank as she lowered her head to look at the stack of files at her feet, having no idea what had just happened.

After a few seconds, Summer finally processed what was going on.

Just now... he told her to get out?

Out of nowhere, why was he blowing up at her again?

Thinking this, Summer turned her head and glanced at the people in the conference room who were staring at her in shock. After pausing for a second, she let out a sigh.

Looks like she picked the wrong time to come.

"All right then." She curled her lips, said that, then hugged the lunch box and silently walked out of the conference room.

And the moment that quiet "all right then" left her lips, Noah, who was still in the middle of his rage, suddenly tensed all over.

The expression on his handsome face froze, and his complexion changed dramatically!

That voice just now... was Summer Shawcross?

"Why didn’t any of you say anything?!" He cursed in a mix of anger and regret. How had she ended up here?

And none of this lot even told him?

Right after he snapped, he pushed up from his chair and strode out with long legs, going after her!

...

As soon as Noah walked out, Flynn Hughes, who had been sitting there nervously just moments ago, watched his hurried departing figure, and a look of gloating suddenly appeared on his face.

This was actually the first time he’d seen Noah so afraid of a woman.

...

Outside the conference room, Summer had just stepped out and barely taken two steps when someone grabbed her wrist from behind.

She stopped and turned around, only to see the man’s face filled with tension.

He was holding her wrist, his gaze fixed on her slightly reddened nose. He hadn’t held back with that throw just now; the files had smacked into her face and reddened her nose.

Seeing her red nose, Noah’s expression shifted; his handsome face was instantly flooded with guilt and aching tenderness.

He had just finished reading the financial report and was furious, so he hadn’t even looked to see who was coming in before flinging the files over just to vent!

He’d thought it was just some staffer, never imagining that it would be her.

Summer looked at his tense expression, then lowered her head to glance at the wrist he was gripping, her face suddenly showing a hint of stunned disbelief.

She really hadn’t expected him to chase after her straight out of the conference room.

She knew he hadn’t done it on purpose just now, but seeing him lose his temper again, she couldn’t help feeling a bit helpless inside.
