My Aloof Husband, Mr. Drexler, Dotes Me Excessively
Chapter 843: I Report, Summer Shawcross Is Sneaking Snacks!
"Why didn’t you say so earlier?" Wendy Linden looked at her with some anger.
Summer Shawcross was taken aback.
"What?"
Just as she was looking at Wendy with bewilderment, Wendy suddenly stood up, grabbed all the snacks in her arms, and stuffed them back into the backpack.
"What are you doing..." Summer looked at her in surprise, wondering if Wendy had lost it after watching the night sky.
Unexpectedly, Wendy directly picked up the entire backpack of snacks, suddenly turned around, and walked towards the bedroom door. Once at the door, she raised her hand, opened the door, but didn’t step outside, instead shouting loudly outside!
"I report that Summer Shawcross is sneaking snacks!"
"..." Summer was frozen on the sofa, looking at Wendy who had betrayed her, suddenly questioning her life!
Wendy’s words had just been spoken when a rush of footsteps came from outside the door.
A few servants hurriedly ran over, followed closely by the butler who also came rushing.
When the butler saw the full backpack of snacks in Wendy’s hands, an expression of shock appeared on his face.
"Ma’am, why are you eating these things again!" he said, quickly signaling the servants to take away the snack-filled backpack.
"I didn’t eat any..." Summer looked at the butler innocently, wanting to eat but not yet getting anything before Wendy snatched it away!
As she finished speaking, the butler still wasn’t reassured, coming into the room to check around, confirming there were no other snacks before finally feeling at ease.
"Ma’am, if you’re hungry just let me know, the soup we prepared is ready, I’ll have someone bring it up right away."
"I’m not hungry!" As soon as Summer heard the butler’s words, she immediately became tense, anxiously shaking her head to deny.
But the butler directly ignored her words and turned away.
Wendy laughed, sending the butler off and then closing the door.
When she turned back around, Summer was looking at her with dissatisfaction.
"Don’t blame me, I’m doing this for your own good. You barely made it back alive, you can’t be careless." Wendy shrugged innocently.
After hearing Wendy’s words, Summer paused, not having the heart to blame her. Just as she was feeling a bit moved by Wendy’s words, Wendy’s concerned voice sounded again.
"If you die, who will teach me fortune telling?"
"..." Summer was petrified...
"Enough about that, let me show you the shooting stars I photographed last night!" At this moment, Wendy remembered her main purpose for today and quickly took out her phone, running over to the sofa, wanting Summer to help her take a look at last night’s situation.
Summer sighed helplessly, unable to do anything but reluctantly glance at the video Wendy had taken.
Just some ordinary shooting stars, she couldn’t see anything unusual because she didn’t understand.
"How about it, did you notice anything?" After the video ended, Wendy turned her head, looking at her with anticipation.
Just as Summer was thinking about how to answer, someone suddenly knocked on the bedroom door from outside.
Summer glanced in the direction of the door, knowing without thinking that it was the butler bringing her soup.
Even though the door was closed, she could already smell that greasy aroma through it.
