Upon hearing Noah Drexler’s question, Summer Shawcross paused for a moment, then smiled and came up with an excuse to explain.

"Actually, it was when I was at the mall earlier that I encountered Mr. Liu’s wife... Wasn’t she an actress before? At the time, I felt there was something off with the man next to her, so I decided to remind Mr. Liu."

Hearing her explanation, Noah Drexler furrowed his brows slightly before showing a look of understanding.

"Mrs. Drexler, this is our first meeting today. I’ll toast to you as well. Hopefully someday, when you have free time, we can go shopping together." At this moment, a woman beside Mr. Gao, who looked somewhat mature and was dressed elegantly, suddenly stood up with a wine glass, smiling at Summer Shawcross.

Seeing this, Summer Shawcross also showed a smile, poured some water into her own glass, then raised the glass with a smile, and proceeded to compliment the other woman.

"Mrs. Gao has such great presence, Mr. Gao is truly fortunate."

She wasn’t wrong; she knew previously that Mr. Gao was relatively older, considered a veteran around Noah Drexler. He’s likely been married for about twenty years already, and this Mrs. Gao in front of her is at least forty years old. Even with only light makeup, she doesn’t look old at all, and her presence really stands out among the ladies today.

After Summer Shawcross finished speaking, Mrs. Gao let out a bitter smile.

"Mrs. Drexler is joking; what’s the use of good presence, when men all prefer young and beautiful?"

As she spoke, she turned her head to glance at the man beside her, then appeared visibly upset as she finished the wine in her glass.

"That’s really out of line!" Hearing her words caused Mr. Gao’s expression to change, he reprimanded her, then turned to Summer Shawcross with a forced smile.

"I’m sorry, Mrs. Drexler, for making you witness this embarrassment."

Summer Shawcross showed an awkward smile, only then remembering that Mr. Gao seemed to have stirred quite a scandal last month with a young starlet with a surgically-enhanced face from a subsidiary entertainment company of JR Group. Back then, Noah Drexler was at home with her during her pregnancy recovery, and upon seeing the news, he was so aggravated he personally called to admonish Mr. Gao.

While Summer Shawcross was momentarily distracted thinking about Mr. Gao, a woman beside Mr. Zhao, who appeared to be under thirty, stood up with a wine glass and smiled at Summer Shawcross.

"Mrs. Drexler, I will also toast to you."

Summer Shawcross was a bit taken aback, realizing that she had originally come to accompany Noah Drexler for dinner. How did she become the center of attention this way?
