Summer Shawcross’s words had just been spoken when Mr. Drexler and the woman beside him instantly turned pale.

“Sorry, Mrs. Drexler, we have something to attend to, so we’ll be leaving now.” Mr. Drexler bowed his head towards Summer Shawcross and then turned to leave.

“Honey, wait for me…” The woman quickly turned, following after him.

Watching the two leave, Summer Shawcross couldn’t help but shake her head.

“Ah… Was that woman the mistress?” At this moment, Katherine Irving’s surprisingly disdainful voice suddenly rang out beside Summer Shawcross.

Just as Summer Shawcross was about to respond, a hurried figure suddenly dashed past and accidentally bumped into her arm.

The baby clothes that Summer Shawcross was holding dropped to the ground.

“Sorry, sorry!” a flustered voice sounded, and the woman wearing sunglasses in front of her hurriedly bent down, picked up the clothes from the ground, returned them to her, and continued to apologize.

“Apologies, I was in such a rush just now, I didn’t notice…” As the woman was apologizing, she looked closely at Summer Shawcross’s face and was startled.

“Mrs. Drexler?”

“Mrs. Drex?” Summer Shawcross listened to the woman’s voice and then looked at her face, which was partly hidden by sunglasses, and finally recognized her.

Looking at Mrs. Drex in front of her, Summer Shawcross suddenly recalled Mr. Drexler and the other woman just now, showing a surprised expression on her face.

“Were you following them…”

Upon hearing this, Mrs. Drex laughed, reaching up to take off her sunglasses, exposing a well-maintained face without makeup, but with a trace of a bitter smile. She awkwardly spoke to Summer Shawcross.

“I apologize for the embarrassment.”

Seeing Mrs. Drex’s bitter expression, Summer Shawcross’s feelings suddenly became complicated, unsure of what to say.

It wasn’t like she hadn’t seen women confronting infidelity before; during her time singing in bars, she had witnessed such occurrences a few times.

Without exception, every woman confronting her husband and the mistress was either in tears or seemed to have collapsed into madness.

It was the first time she’d seen a woman confronting infidelity while maintaining a smile and a composed demeanor.

Just as Summer Shawcross was engrossed in Mrs. Drex’s appearance, Katherine Irving’s indignant voice suddenly sounded from beside her.

“Do you want me to help? I can deal with those two shameless people right now!” Katherine’s face was full of anger, ready to roll up her sleeves and settle with those two who had just left!

Hearing Katherine’s words, Mrs. Drex, initially embarrassed, couldn’t help but laugh.

“There’s no need.”

“How can that be? They’re boldly out on the streets, how can you let them off just like that!” Seeing Mrs. Drex’s response, Katherine’s expression was still filled with anger.

Mrs. Drex could only sigh.

“That woman is pregnant.”

“The child is innocent.”

As soon as Mrs. Drex finished speaking, Katherine paused, and suddenly realized why those two came to this maternity and baby store.

Looking at the helpless expression on Mrs. Drex’s face, Summer Shawcross felt a tinge of sympathy in her heart and couldn’t help but ask her.

“So… What do you plan to do?” genuinely concerned for her.

She didn’t know why, but among all the wives of the CEOs she met at the last dinner, many were eager to connect, exchanging contacts and attempting to build rapport with her, yet she still felt that Mrs. Drex was the most likable.
