Chapter 373 - 254: Aoi Monshou 4
Chapter 373: Chapter 254: Aoi Monshou 4
"Aoi Monshou?" Li Xiang asked, curious.
Chiba Yuki then gave a demonstration. A nun with a graceful figure and unparalleled beauty, dressed in a blue monastic robe, appeared in the room.
This beautiful nun’s right eye was the only one visible, its pupil glowing with a faint blue light. Her left eye was covered by a black lace eyepatch, much like a pirate’s.
She was, in fact, one-eyed.
A beautiful, one-eyed nun.
Golden scriptural talismans faintly shimmered on her neck, and in her hands, she held a giant Wooden Fish.
Li Xiang nodded. ’This Shikigami’s power is impressive; it should be enough to keep her safe. As for the Twin Gouyu, they’ll probably also step into the Extraordinary realm once they’re a bit older.’
"Master, please allow me and Aoi Monshou to attend to you in your bath," Chiba Yuki requested, kneeling once more. She felt that only by truly giving herself to her master could she earn his complete trust.
Li Xiang waved his hand. "You don’t need to dwell on this. If you are loyal, I will know. If you betray me, I have my own ways of dealing with you."
"Yuki would never dare to betray you," Chiba Yuki said. ’He’s such an amazing patron, how could I be so foolish? It’s a shame he’s too righteous to accept me. Does he not find me beautiful? No, that can’t be it.’
"Master, would you allow Yuki and your two daughters to see your true face? That way, Asatsuyu and Yukigiri will remember you and never forget," Chiba Yuki said after a moment’s thought, settling for the next best thing.
"You may." As one of the planet’s top-tier combatants, Li Xiang wasn’t too concerned about his identity being revealed anymore. He removed his Face Armor. Chiba Yuki looked up and was momentarily captivated. ’He’s so handsome,’ she thought, ’even more handsome than I imagined.’
Afterward, she brought her twin daughters over. When Chiba Asatsuyu and Chiba Yukigiri saw Li Xiang’s real face, they took an immediate liking to him, feeling an even greater sense of closeness.
Li Xiang picked them up. The two little girls were very well-behaved and leaned in at the same time, one kissing his left cheek and the other his right.
Chiba Yuki couldn’t help but feel a pang of envy as she watched.
"I’ll teach them to speak Chinese in the future. Master, you must come back often. Even just to visit and relax for a while would be wonderful," Chiba Yuki said.
Li Xiang nodded. "Now that you have Aoi Monshou to protect you, it’s time for me to go."
Chiba Yuki and her twin daughters were instantly reluctant to see him leave.
Chiba Yuki said, "Please, allow Yuki to prepare a lavish dinner to thank you, Master."
Li Xiang agreed. He then began to instruct the twins, personally guiding them in their cultivation. The Twin Gouyu were truly remarkable; though only five years old, they were very bright and had already begun to generate Spiritual Power in their bodies. They would likely become Tier One Transcendents sooner than Li Xiang had anticipated.
Chiba Yuki showed off her culinary skills, preparing a vast spread of delicacies: peony shrimp sashimi arranged in a sixteen-petal chrysanthemum pattern; a maple-colored tempura platter of kuruma-ebi, maitake mushrooms, and shiso leaves; salt-grilled mackerel; butter-seared scallops; salmon chazuke; ginger pork; chutoro sushi; cheese-baked toast; a vinegared seaweed salad; tonkotsu ramen; and clam miso soup. She also warmed a pot of plum wine, attending to Li Xiang with the utmost tenderness.
Unfortunately, Li Xiang ultimately vanished into the twilight. Chiba Yuki gazed at the empty room, feeling a sense of loss and melancholy.
The Alarm Deer Bamboo Tube under the eaves knocked emptily three times. She finally reached out, stroking the meditation cushion Li Xiang had sat on before pulling it into a tight embrace. ’Perhaps I should carefully bury a few jars of fine wine,’ she thought, ’and wait for the day I can warm it for my husband to savor.’
With Aoi Monshou by her side, Chiba Yuki never suffered from oppression again. The quality of the hot springs at her private bathhouse was superb, and so business naturally began to boom.
In her spare time, she painted a portrait of Li Xiang with her own hands and placed it in her bedroom, replacing the memorial portrait of her late husband.
