Chapter 529: Chapter 444: Soul Fusion Technique, Rapid Leveling

In the days of constant Cultivation, time flew by. In what felt like the blink of an eye, half a year had passed. For this world, time is the most meaningless of measures. Any member of the Demon Race would forget its passage in their endless Cultivation.

No one would deliberately track the flow of time. It seemed only the Demons had their own methods for recording it. Oh, and it was said that the bearers of Chaos Bloodlines deep within the Primitive Ancient Forest also kept track of time. But for the rest of the Demon Race, recording time was completely meaningless.

Take, for instance, the members of the Demon Race who had not yet attained Spiritual Awakening. They couldn’t perceive the flow of time at all. All they saw was the so-called rising of the sun and setting of the moon, over and over again, until years had passed.

Furthermore, even those who reached the stage of Spiritual Awakening were plagued by all kinds of troubles. They had to fear other members of the Demon Race at or above their level encroaching on their pitifully small territories. They had to worry about becoming a snack for someone stronger. Every day was consumed with the thought of becoming stronger—strong enough. With all that, where would they find the time to record the so-called passage of time?

Once they succeeded in Opening Spirit Veins and became a Great Demon, they might possess a relatively stable territory. Even so, these Great Demons were still wary of those more powerful than themselves. They worried about two Dominators fighting, or some great migration. And so, they desperately focused on getting stronger, with no mind to spare for tracking time.

If a lucky one managed to achieve the status of a Dominator, he would only then discover how truly insignificant he was. He would be like an ant that had glimpsed the truth of the world, seen the endless expanse of the realms, and grown to fear the truly strong even more, compelling him to strive for power with even greater desperation.

For a Dominator, there were countless other members of the Demon Race who were just as powerful. Even in their immediate vicinity, the territories of one Demon Race after another formed inviolable borders, tightly confining their limited domains and turning them into cages.

And above them all were the eight insurmountable Great Dominators. How could anyone find the peace of mind to relax?

Thus, the cycle continued: constantly growing stronger, constantly cultivating, constantly developing!

Time became the most useless of things. So much so that countless years could pass without anyone noticing. However, while Cultivation might take other members of the Demon Race years or even decades, it wasn’t so troublesome for Jiang Qiu. In just half a year, he had mastered Call the Wind and Summon the Rain!

“So this is what it feels like to master Call the Wind and Summon the Rain?” Jiang Qiu took a deep breath. He could feel an endless chill wind spiraling from all directions, converging as it entered his mouth, ready to transform into a storm at a moment’s notice. “Not bad.”

It wasn’t just that he could absorb so much wind; with a mere opening of his mouth, the currents flowed into him. With a flick of his finger, he could summon a tempest, as if the very Laws of this territory were resonating with him.

The wind and rain had become things he held in the palm of his hand!

Did such an ability have offensive power? Against the Great Dominators who had cultivated beyond the Spirit Control Realm, or even the True Dominator, the Golden Eagle, who stood above them?

Of course it did, and its power was not to be underestimated. The wind was like a bone-scraping blade, the rain a torrential downpour. It was especially effective against the Flying Demon Clan!

Unless an opponent’s Realm was truly, unimaginably high—meaning they could command the wind and rain with ease—it would be impossible for them to not be affected by Jiang Qiu.

However, judging by the Nine-tailed Fox’s abilities, those in the Transformation Realm definitely couldn’t do such a thing. At most, they might be able to slightly influence the wind and rain; in fact, being unable to control them at all was the norm.

Normally, being able to manipulate wind and rain would make one a supreme prodigy. Back on Blue Star, he had never seen any Demon Race at the Spirit Communication Level who could easily control the elements. And at that level, they could already use some pretty flashy Secret Techniques.

Therefore, Jiang Qiu was no longer very worried about the Golden Eagle’s abilities. Besides, he had cultivated more than just Call the Wind and Summon the Rain. With half a year of growth, his Cultivation had also risen to a new stage!

What had once been a mere cluster of his Spirit Vein now flowed like a trickling stream. With just a little mobilization and refinement, he could now use most of the Secret Techniques he had mastered in the early days of the [Primordial] world-cluster.

The techniques he had mastered were far beyond this era. Therefore, while on the surface he only appeared to be at the Middle Stage of Spiritual Vein Opening, his actual combat strength might already be above the Spirit Control Realm!

Even based on his physical body alone, he could match the Spirit Control Realm. After all, the core strength of the Dragon Race was their invincible physique. Even as a whelp, he had absorbed so much Heaven and Earth Spirit Charm to temper his body. How could an ordinary member of the Demon Race possibly compare?

His growth rate was undoubtedly on a completely different level from the ordinary Demon Race of this world. He stood above the masses, and if not for a lack of resources, he might have already soared to the heavens!

As he thought this, Jiang Qiu sighed with a bit of emotion. ‘I still need resources like Spirit Fruits to get stronger faster. It’s time to go deal with those Great Dominators!’

He called for the Nine-tailed Fox. In a flash, two shadows—one large, one small—shot out from the depths of the cave. It was the incomparably graceful Nine-tailed Fox and her first clone, One-tailed. “Master.”

“How are things? What about your Cultivation?”

Jiang Qiu stared at the two of them, silently assessing their changes. He had already sensed a massive transformation in both of their auras. Compared to half a year ago, their presence was now powerful on an unprecedented level.
