Chapter 541: Chapter 450: The Golden Eagle Ancestor Emerges, the Tiger King Great Dominator

Several Great Dominators of the Golden Eagle Race gathered at Cloud Cliff, discussing the current situation and waiting for an audience with their Ancestor. As they spoke, every one of them was filled with astonishment.

Who could have imagined that four Dominators would meet their end in a single day?

Three of them had been killed instantly. Only the Nine-tailed Fox was suspected of having made off with the Spirit Fruit. A situation like this hadn’t been heard of in tens of thousands of years.

After all, the cost of killing a Great Dominator was immense. Typically, only when one True Dominator targeted another would a large-scale battle erupt for the sake of slaughter and plunder.

Take the Demons outside the Primitive Ancient Forest, for example. They reveled in slaughter and were the only ones who regularly preyed upon the Dominator Level members of the Demon Race, sometimes even targeting Great Dominators. In fact, that was how the King Kong Ape had managed to become a Great Dominator—his predecessor had been killed and carved up by Demons.

But even the Demons typically only targeted one at a time; they would never commit slaughter on such a scale. Besides, for Demons to enter the Primitive Ancient Forest without a single trace was utterly inconceivable!

Thus, no one could figure it out. What had caused the deaths of three Great Dominators and the disappearance of the Nine-tailed Fox? And where on earth did those two mysterious members of the Demon Race come from?

As they were discussing, a voice of supreme authority cascaded down from above the clouds, as deep and resonant as the tolling of a colossal bell. “I am already aware of the matter you reported. Mobilize all Great Dominators and Dominators. Lock down the territory!”

Everyone was shaken by the command. It was the first time they had ever heard such an order. It carried the full weight of preparing for war against a neighboring True Dominator!

Indeed. Mobilizing all Dominators and Great Dominators—wasn’t that tantamount to preparing for war with the forces of a neighboring True Dominator? Why else would so many powerful members of the Demon Race be mobilized at once?

The consequences of such an action were immense. Even if the intent wasn’t to alarm a neighboring True Dominator, it would undoubtedly put them on high alert.

If any misunderstanding arose, the other party might mobilize their own forces in response. ‘Of course,’ they all thought, ‘isn’t this level of mobilization a bit of an overkill for just two mysterious members of the Demon Race?’

To mobilize all surrounding Dominators and Great Dominators just to catch two insignificant members of the Demon Race—it was no exaggeration to call it deploying the entire strength of their race!

“As you command!”

But they had no choice. Within the Golden Eagle Race, everyone had to obey the Ancestor. The suppressive power of his bloodline was simply too strong. They were all his descendants, and they followed the very path of Cultivation he had pioneered. They were born with a destiny to obey.

However, they were secretly thrilled. The Ancestor himself was going to take action this time!

No one had seen the Ancestor fight in many, many years. Legend had it that he had reached the Perfect Transformation Realm long ago and had been in seclusion ever since, attempting to break through his bottleneck.

However, no one knew if he had succeeded, nor could they fathom how powerful the Ancestor had become.

This was especially true for the younger members of the race. Almost none of them had ever seen the Ancestor’s true face, let alone grasped the extent of his power. They only knew of him through legends.

Of course, his blood flowed through their veins; they carried his lineage. At their very core, they were bound to hold the Ancestor in infinite reverence.

Therefore, they carried out their orders with fervent diligence, each hoping to garner the Ancestor’s attention—perhaps by being the first to discover a sign of the two mysterious members of the Demon Race, or the first to pinpoint their location.

With this goal in mind, the vast Golden Eagle Race mobilized. In an instant, the sky was blotted out by a tide of black wings as Golden Eagles of all ranks soared forth, spreading across the horizon like a black carpet.

A few hours passed before there was a development. Another Golden Eagle of the Grand Dominator Level arrived, his face a mask of terror. “Ancestor! The Great Dominator in the territory I was watching was killed in an instant by the two mysterious members of the Demon Race! I dared not make a move and came immediately to report!”

One after another, Great Dominators fell and Spirit Fruits were taken. The efficiency was terrifyingly high. It was as if killing Great Dominators was just something they did in passing; their real intention was simply to travel through the territory.

As these reports reached Cloud Cliff, the countless Golden Eagles closest to the Ancestor were profoundly shaken. They were all aware of the recent command, as the decree had been transmitted through their very bloodline. In other words, every member of the Golden Eagle Race knew that a pair of mysterious members of the Demon Race were killing their Great Dominators.

And yet, in the blink of an eye, another Great Dominator was dead.

It was the death of this Great Dominator that finally spurred the Ancestor to emerge from his seclusion. He had completely locked onto the enemy’s movements. A piercing shriek suddenly roared down from above the clouds like a torrential flood, causing countless living beings to prostrate themselves and tremble. “Northward!”

In that moment, countless creatures looked up to see a colossal black shadow streak across the sky, seeming vast enough to swallow the sun. It emerged from above the clouds and vanished back into them. Any being that caught even a glimpse of it felt their heart hammer in their chest, as if it would explode under the immense pressure.

Who was that?

Very, very few beings knew. After all, the lifespan of a member of the Demon Race was neither long nor short, and surviving to old age in the Primitive Ancient Forest was an exceedingly difficult feat. As generations came and went, only the longest-lived Dominators might know of the existence of a True Dominator. The rest—those who had merely undergone their Spiritual Awakening or had their Spirit Veins Opened—were completely unaware that such a being even existed.
