My Clones Can Cultivate
Chapter 208: Analysis Completed..
Chapter 207
"You would still die at the end of the day... There wouldn’t be anything. No one can save you,"
Shi Tian’s voice was cold, low, and completely emotionless as he spoke, uttering every single word as if he were merely stating an undeniable fact rather than declaring that Liyu was already nothing more than a dead man walking, with no arrogance in his tone, no excitement, and not even the slightest hint of anger... only absolute certainty.
"To think you can even increase your cultivation stage by one... That is something," Shi Tian’s gaze remained expressionless as he spoke, knowing he still needed to check and confirm a few things since that was the only reason he was speaking to Liyu in the first place.
He was hoping to ascertain from his words and, more importantly, from Liyu’s reactions whether Liyu still had more cards to play, whether that treasure capable of restoring him could be used once more, and finally... perhaps the most important thing of all... whether that state Liyu had entered before, as well as the final attack he had used against Haoran, could be used again.
And if so, how many times he could use it and what it would cost him each time, because after all, the restoration ability and that final attack were the only two things about Liyu that made Shi Tian feel even slightly wary, with Liyu posing no threat whatsoever to him apart from those two things, not even the slightest.
Liyu didn’t reply or say a single word to Shi Tian, who was clearly trying to probe him, but instead wanted to end him as fast as possible, after all, merging with his clones having a time limit... well, perhaps calling it a clear time limit wasn’t entirely accurate, as it wasn’t as though the fusion would simply end after a specific amount of time.
But rather the longer the fusion lasted, the more uncomfortable it became, with that discomfort gradually turning into slight pain and eventually becoming real, unbearable pain.
Therefore, it was better not to waste time talking and chit-chatting with this bastard, giving Shi Tian more opportunities to probe him, so Liyu made his move, his figure flashing forward like lightning... no, at this moment, he could almost be said to be lightning itself: BOOM! Green lightning flashed across the arena, and Liyu was gone.
Shi Tian’s gaze changed slightly as he realized in an instant that Liyu was fast, far faster than before, causing his body to whip sideways at incredible speed as he accelerated to the side, narrowly avoiding the incoming figure and immediately taking a few more steps... each one incredibly precise... before landing smoothly on one side, yet his posture remaining the same: calm, composed, almost as though nothing had happened.
"I have to admit, you are pretty fast," Shi Tian spoke calmly, while Liyu smiled and shook his head, saying, "Well, you are too slow," and the instant those words left his mouth... a thin red mark appeared right across Shi Tian’s two cheeks, followed by four rapid sounds tearing through the air... whoosh! whoosh! whoosh! whoosh!... as the crimson marks became clearer and blood trickled down from the wounds.
For an instant, Shi Tian was frozen in shock, not because the injuries were serious... they weren’t... but because he hadn’t even seen the attack coming, causing his mind to quickly accelerate and piece everything together in an instant: *It seems that he is far, far faster because of his green lightning.*
"I see..." Shi Tian calmly wiped the blood from his face, the wounds being incredibly small and closing almost immediately under his powerful regeneration due to how minor the cuts were, making it no big deal, though a thought quietly surfaced in his mind: *I might have underestimated him slightly.*
Shi Tian lifted one finger, and the moment he did, the wind threads scattered throughout the entire stage suddenly flared, having been there all along, completely invisible to the naked eye and so thin that even someone with powerful senses would have difficulty detecting them unless specifically looking for them.
But now they moved, the countless wind threads instantly attacking Liyu from both sides to form a perfect pincer attack whose purpose was simple: first, completely immobilize him, and then... slice him apart.
Shi Tian’s expression remaining indifferent as he watched the invisible threads close in, thinking, *If I can kill him with this, I would be more than glad,* because even now, Shi Tian still did not see Liyu as a genuine threat, knowing that if the two things that made Liyu dangerous were taken out of the situation, then Liyu was still no different from the other weaklings around him... a pathetic weakling.
The wind qi threads rushed forward at an insane speed, twisting and tearing through the air as they tried to wrap themselves around Liyu, but before they could even get close, Liyu had already made his move, his body vanishing and leaving only a streak of green lightning in his wake, crackling violently through the air... BOOM!
He appeared right before Shi Tian in the next instant, causing Shi Tian’s pupils to contract slightly as the Void Piercer in Liyu’s hand came crashing down directly toward his face with terrifying momentum, its sharp edge seeming capable of splitting everything in its path, yet—Shi Tian relaxed, a faint thought flashing through his mind: *He fell for another trap.*
Without hesitation, Shi Tian moved another one of his fingers, and the moment he did, the wind qi threads filling the surrounding area suddenly changed direction, moving with terrifying precision so that in an instant.
Liyu’s body was completely trapped within the miniature, incredibly sharp wind threads... the exact same type of wind qi threads that had cut through Liyu’s body the last time, except this time... they were different, because Shi Tian had made them even sharper, even more lethal, and the moment they wrapped firmly around Liyu’s body, they tightened... then... SHIIING!
Shi Tian brought his finger taut, the wind threads instantly tightening around Liyu in an attempt to slice straight through his body, but immediately... they stopped!
Shi Tian’s gaze finally changed, genuine shock flashing through his eyes for the first time: *I can’t cut through it...*
He was stunned, but only for an instant, as the next moment... CRACKLE!... green lightning exploded from Liyu’s body, the terrifying lightning surging violently through every single wind qi thread wrapped around him... BOOM!... shattering the countless threads one after another before completely reducing them to nothing but dust beneath the destructive force of the green lightning.
Shi Tian’s expression changed, but before he could react, the remaining crackling lightning around Liyu’s body suddenly swirled toward the Void Piercer, pouring into the blade to wrap around its edge and mix with Liyu’s primal qi.... then... BOOM!...
The Void Piercer slammed toward Shi Tian’s face, Liyu aiming directly for his head without trying to injure him or force him back, but planning instead to slice Shi Tian’s skull straight into two.
However,at the very last moment... a thin veil-like barrier appeared once more, the same veil from before... CLANG!... the Void Piercer struck it, but this time was different, because the Void Piercer, now imbued with the terrifying green lightning and Liyu’s primal qi, sliced straight through the thin veil with ease.... SHIIING!
The barrier being cut apart as though it were nothing, serving as a testament to just how powerful the Void Piercer had become after being strengthened by Liyu’s green lightning and primal qi, but that tiny delay... was enough.
Shi Tian moved his head out of the way, the amount of time that barrier had bought him being in reality even less than a fraction of a second... a miniature instant, an interval so short that most people wouldn’t even be able to perceive it, but Shi Tian was simply that fast, his reaction speed abnormal, so that the moment the Void Piercer cut through the veil, his head had already moved away from the blade’s trajectory... SHIIING!
The blade narrowly passing beside his face as Shi Tian immediately took two steps backward, those two seemingly ordinary steps covering several meters with a movement so fast that it almost looked as though he had teleported backward, barely managing to create some distance, but before he could restrategize... before he could formulate another plan... Liyu was already upon him: BOOM!
Several attacks rained down upon Shi Tian from all sides, the Void Piercer flashing repeatedly with each attack targeting a vital point and carrying the intention to kill, causing Shi Tian’s expression to finally change as he could no longer hold himself back, his hand... which had barely moved until now... finally beginning to move, his fingers shifting, and immediately... the wind threads filling the entire area coming under his command:
WHOOSH! Countless wind qi threads surged toward Liyu from every direction... above, below, from the left, from the right, from behind... leaving almost nowhere for Liyu to escape, and the two became completely engaged in a fierce battle: CLANG! CLANG! BOOM!
The countless wind threads were sharp enough to slice straight through iron, yet Liyu barely paid them any attention, continuing forward, continuing attacking, not retreating, not slowing down, because his green lightning was able to handle the attacks on its own.
The terrifying lightning constantly crackling around his body and moving almost as though it possessed a will of its own so that whenever a wind qi thread approached, the green lightning would immediately strike it... CRACKLE!
BOOM!.... the destructive force of the lightning, combined with Liyu’s overwhelming speed, allowing him to counter and destroy most of the wind qi threads before they could even reach him, while the few that managed to get past the lightning and strike his body... were unable to leave even a scratch on the Celestial Battle Skin he was wearing.
Liyu continued pressing forward, attack after attack, strike after strike, with every single movement aimed at a vital point and every single blade aimed toward death, forcing Shi Tian toward the corner rather quickly as he desperately tried to survive against Liyu’s endless attacks where the pressure was immense.
Liyu’s attacks seeming to always head toward a vital point and... even worse... always aimed to kill, making it clear that Liyu wasn’t taking any chances, wanting to kill this guy as fast as possible, as decisively as possible, with no hesitation in his attacks, no intention of merely defeating Shi Tian, but wanting him dead as was obvious from the way Liyu constantly aimed for the points of death, leaving Shi Tian to only manage to survive because of his own rather abnormal and ridiculous speed.
His body moved constantly to avoid one deadly strike after another by the narrowest of margins, but that wasn’t all, because using the wind qi threads, Shi Tian was able to weaponize them for both defense and offense, the threads moving according to his will to form layers of protection while simultaneously attacking Liyu from every possible angle, and with his Wind Veil and the countless wind qi threads, he was able to hold out for a while.
But, that didn’t last at all, because the current Liyu was simply something far, far more powerful than Shi Tian could have imagined, his speed overwhelming, his destructive force terrifying, and his attacks relentless, so that even Shi Tian’s ridiculous speed was gradually becoming insufficient, soon... causing him to begin to get injured as a mark appeared.
Then two, then three, and then more: slash!... a thin red line appeared across his body; slash!... another wound opened, and the battle continued without pause until two minutes later, the two warriors finally disengaged, separating and giving each other distance.
Liyu landed calmly on the far end of the stage, green lightning crackling around his figure and wrapping around his body like countless small serpents of destruction, his breathing remaining steady with no visible wound on him... not even a serious scratch... and his lips curled upward into a small smile.
At the other side of the stage... Shi Tian’s gaze was locked onto him, his eyes still cold and emotionless, but his figure telling an entirely different story, with his clothes torn, his skin covered in wounds, and several red lines appearing across his body... some shallow and some deeper... with traces of blood slowly running down his skin.
He remained silent for a while, his gaze never leaving Liyu, then... he nodded, not to anyone, only to himself: *Analysis complete.* From the way Liyu had relentlessly pressed the attack, and from the fact that he had always aimed for the kill, Shi Tian had finally reached the conclusion he had been looking for:
*That final attack he used against Haoran isn’t something that he can spam.* His eyes narrowed slightly: *Maybe he can’t even use it anymore today.*
That would be the most reasonable conclusion to come to, because after all, if Liyu could still use that terrifying attack freely, there would be no reason for him to fight this desperately, nor would there be any reason for him to continuously pursue the kill with his physical attacks, but even if he can use it... it must be when he is already at his limit.
Shi Tian’s gaze remained cold: *And that treasure... It is clear that it is more limited than I once believed. Either he only has one use left... Or he has none left.*
A faint trace of confidence returned to Shi Tian’s eyes: *It seems I was just worried for nothing.* His analysis was complete, everything he needed to know had been confirmed, and now... there was no longer any reason to continue dragging this battle out.
"Now that my analysis is over..." Shi Tian’s voice was calm, "I should end this."
His hand moved toward the sword hanging at his side, a sword that had been there throughout the entire battle and which... from beginning to end... he had never unsheathed, his fingers wrapping around the hilt: *Click.*
The atmosphere seemed to change, and Shi Tian slowly drew the sword from its sheath... SHING!... the sound of the blade being unsheathed ringing across the entire stage as his cold, emotionless gaze remained fixed on Liyu.
"It is time..." His grip tightened around the sword. "To end this death match."
