My Cuckhold System
Chapter 373: I Can Fix Him
West closed the door behind him. “I had to deal with the problem you sent me to deal with.”
Angel Trigger took another sip. “And?”
“Dealt with.”
“Good.”
West eyes narrowed as he stared at the back of his head.
“How much longer?”
Angel Trigger finally turned. “What?”
“This,” West gestured around the room. “These errands. The games. The humiliation.”
A smirk slowly formed on Angel Trigger’s face. “Are you getting tired, West?”
West ignored the question. “You said you’d release them.”
“I said I would.”
“And you haven’t.”
Angel Trigger placed his glass down. “Of course I haven’t released them yet.”
His smile widened. “I haven’t had enough fun with you.”
The temperature in the room seemed to drop as West’s eyes hardened.
Angel Trigger smirked. “You see, every time I look at you, I remember my brother.”
The amusement disappeared from his expression and his eyes turned cold. “Matthew lying in that hospital bed. His body broken. Surgery after surgery after surgery.”
Angel Trigger leaned forward. “You took something from me.”
“And now I get to take something from you.”
“Two somethings, apparently.”
Angel Trigger laughed. “Exactly.”
West stared at him for several seconds before speaking. “You haven’t given me proof.”
Angel Trigger’s eyes narrowed. “What?”
“You keep telling me they’re alive.”
West took a step forward. “But you haven’t shown me anything.”
“They’re alive.”
“According to you.”
“If you want me to continue doing this… if you want me to continue following your orders… you’ll show me proof that Aria and Liz are alive.”
One of Angel Trigger’s men stepped forward. “Watch your tone.”
West slowly turned his head and the man immediately froze upon eye contact.
For some reason, he suddenly remembered the devastation he had witnessed when West and Angel Trigger had fought and instinctively stepped back.
West turned back to Angel Trigger who was watching him carefully now.
He continued. “Here’s the problem.”
“So long as I believe they’re alive, you have leverage over me.”
“But if the switch in my head flips…” he tapped the side of his head. “…and I begin to believe they’re already dead, then you no longer have anything holding me back.”
The room went completely silent as West took another step. “And once you have no control over me anymore…”
His gaze fell directly onto Angel Trigger. “…you know exactly what is going to happen.”
The two subordinates immediately became tense while Angel Trigger remained rooted in place with a calm look.
But behind his calm expression, his mind was racing because West was right.
If West truly snapped… convincing himself that Aria and Liz were dead… then there was a very real possibility that he would stop playing Angel Trigger’s game entirely.
He could start to destroy everything in his path and Matthew was here.
Angel Trigger had no guarantee that he could stop him before it was too late since their previous battle had already shown him that killing West wouldn’t be easy.
Angel Trigger slowly leaned back and stared at West for several seconds. “Fine.”
Angel Trigger reached for his phone. “You want proof?”
He began dialing a number. “I’ll give you proof.”
A few moments later, the call connected.
Angel Trigger spoke briefly to someone on the other end. “Put them on.”
West’s eyes sharpened and after a few seconds passed…
“West?”
His body froze as a familiar voice resounded from the other end.
His fingers tightened. “Aria.”
There was silence on the other end for a second, before he heard her breathe shakily.
“West…”
For the first time in days, something in his chest loosened.
She was alive….
“Are you hurt?”
“I’m okay.”
Her voice sounded exhausted.
“They haven’t—”
The phone was suddenly taken away.
West’s expression darkened. “Hey!”
Another voice came through next. “West?”
West immediately recognized it. “Liz.”
“Yes.”
West closed his eyes. “I’m here.”
“I’m alive.”
Her voice cracked slightly. “But West, I don’t know where we are.”
“I’ll find you.”
The words came out immediately without hesitation or uncertainty. “I promise.”
The call ended from the other side swiftly, not giving West any chance to get more information out of them. Angel Trigger was being very cautious.
For several seconds, West didn’t speak… their very brief conversation replayed in his head over and over again.
Then he looked at Angel Trigger. “You’ve proven it.”
Angel Trigger smirked. “Happy?”
“No,” West’s answered instantly. “But now, I don’t regret my actions.”
“What if I make you a deal?” West suddenly voiced out after staying silent for a few seconds.
Angel Trigger looked amused. “A deal?”
“What if I have a way to make your brother whole?”
The amusement vanished and for a moment, Angel Trigger simply stared at him… before he burst out laughing.
One of his subordinates even exchanged a confused glance with the other.
Angel Trigger wiped the corner of his eye. “Oh, West.”
He shook his head. “You’re desperate.”
“I’m serious.”
“You’re bargaining with fairy tales now?”
West’s gaze remained fixed. “I can heal him…”
Angel Trigger’s smile faded slightly as West added. “Completely.”
Angel Trigger stopped laughing. “You don’t know what you’re talking about.”
“I do.”
“My brother’s body is practically destroyed.”
“I know.”
“He’s undergone six surgeries.”
“I know.”
Angel Trigger’s eyes narrowed. “The best doctors in the world are working on him.”
Angel Trigger’s voice became colder as he added. “Even the healing solutions recovered from ruins have limits.”
West folded his arms. “And?”
“The damage is too extensive.”
“Then those healing solutions aren’t good enough.”
Angel Trigger stared at him in utter confoundment as West pressed forward. “I told you I have a way.”
Angel Trigger studied his expression before standing to his feet. “Prove it.”
West smiled faintly. “Gladly.”
—
Minutes later, West and Angel Trigger walked through the white corridor of the hospital with several of Angel Trigger’s guards following behind them.
Angel Trigger still didn’t believe him… how could he? He had seen what Matthew looked like… spent days watching doctors enter and leave his brother’s room… and listened to medical explanations he barely understood.
Nerve damage, bone reconstruction, internal injuries, complications… and so on.
The doctors had made one thing clear… Matthew might survive but even if he did, there was a possibility he would never be the same again.
And now West was claiming that he could somehow fix everything? It sounded utterly ridiculous.
Guys sorry I couldn’t complete the mass release. Got sidetracked.
